Caravel took the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Salesianum School on Tuesday. The game was tied at two with Caravel batting in the top of the fifth when Ryan Lester singled scoring one run. Kaden Bredickas followed up with a sac fly to score Aiden Grygo.
Salesianum School got things started in the second inning. Salesianum School scored one run when John Dunion doubled. Ryan James followed up with an Rbi single to go up 2-0.
In the top of the fourth inning, Caravel Buccaneers tied things up at two. Bryce Sterling singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Logan Boettcher earned the complete game victory on the pitcher's mound for Caravel. Boettcher allowed eight hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out two.
St. Marks 7 Smyrna 0 Jack Burns pitched a complete game shutout striking out 6 and scattering 4 hits. Garrett Quinn and Dan Keane had multiple hits. Christian Colmery homered for the Spartans. Logan Unterreiner doubled for the Eagles.
Appoquinimink 5 Sussex Tech 4 Appo was able to take an early lead behind a walk to Colby Niggebrugge and a Keegan Miller triple in the first inning. Lorenzo Carrier, Prestin Leinbach, and Aiden Fleming all had RBI's in the first inning. Carrier and Evan Bouldin both finished with 2 hits each. Sussex Tech battled the entire game as they scored in the 1st, 3rd, and 4th innings. Aidan Deakins battled on the mound for the Jags allowing 4 hits on 2 earned runs and 5 strikeouts. In the 5th inning Chase Fleming entered the game for Appo on the mound and earned the 3 inning save allowing 3 hits on 1 strikeout. Connor Ellingsworth and Malikye Wells both had 2 hits for Sussex Tech.
