CHAMPAIGN, Ill. ––– Indiana Wrestling fell to Illinois, 36-3, on Sunday afternoon at the State Farm Center. The loss drops Indiana’s overall record to 3-5 and 1-5 in the Big Ten.



KEY MOMENTS

• Junior Nick Willham (197) clutched up when it counted and earned a 3-1 decision win on a late takedown in the first round of Sudden Victory.

• Most of the bouts came down to the wire in hard-fought fashion. Six of the bouts were decided by two points or less.

• Two duals, including Willham’s were decided by Sudden Victory, sophomore Jacob Moran (125) also had his dual go to Sudden Victory.



NOTABLES

• Willham’s victory improved his record to 10-5 on the season and 4-4 in duals specifically.

• Willham has won two of his last three bouts.

• On the season, Willham now owns a +16 point advantage over all opponents he has faced.
