By David A. Sussex Central Ron Dukes on the win: "Last year we lost on a last second shot vs. St. Marks that didn't count, thank goodness we got the ball and had to run some time off the clock for us to win." "Meaghan Dugan did an outstanding job and fought hard for the basketball in the second half she took over by shooting a lot of three pointers but we worked hard in the paint and did great things tonight but the key was to attack their zone and win the rebounds which was the difference in the contest. Jasmine Hudson is fun to coach as I 've watched her for 3 years for a while she was hurt and came back but sometimes you don't do that a lot Taylor Pritchett didn't have her greatest night they Jasmine took care of it for us."

For the Lady Golden Knights, at 16-5 jr's Jasmine Hudson and Jada Smack each led with 16 points and 14 by jr Taylor Pritchett.

The Raiders nearly pulled off the win with 1.6 seconds left on the clock as sophomore Holly Panchak threw the ball the length of the floor to teammage sr. Boston University bound Meaghan Doogan as concludes her high school season with 35 points hit a lot of three pointers to rally the Lady Raiders almost for the win the ball came to her as she threw a long pass for the win at the buzzer but the Lady Knights prevailed with the win and will take on the Lady Buccaneers of Caravel in a quarter final 2:00 pm contest at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware.
