Red Lion 11 St. Marks 3
Red Lion's offense was lead P. Pusey going 3 for 3 on the day with a grand slam in the third. A Edwards and M Meginniss also had multiple hits for the Lions. R. Mendick homered in the 6th. A. Edwards pitched the complete game for the Lions allowing 6 hits and striking out 6.

M Hall went 2 for 3 with a double for St. Marks.

Brandywine 9 Hodgson 8
A back and forth battle played out today with the Bulldogs edging out the victory over the Silver Eagles. M. Chakar pitched a complete game for BHS, striking out 7. The offense scattered 10 hits, led by M. Chakar with 3 hits and 3 rbi. Arnone contributed 2 hits and 2 rbi, while Stroh scored the eventual game-winning run.
R. Souder sparked the Silver Eagles with 3 hits and 2 runs scored. R. Givler added 2 hits, while K. Lately proved to be a tough out and added 2 runs. McDonough pitched the whole game, fanning 11 Bulldogs in her efforts on the mound.
Lake Forest 3 Polytech 0
Carah Sumpter didn't allow a single run against Polytech, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Lake Forest Varsity Spartans to a 3-0 victory on Thursday

The pitching was strong on both sides. Sumpter struck out six, while Mara Everton sat down three.

Lake Forest Varsity Spartans got things started in the first inning. Lake Forest Varsity Spartans scored one run when Sumpter doubled.

A single by Mackenzie Mitchell in the first inning was a positive for Polytech.

Sumpter was the winning pitcher for Lake Forest Varsity Spartans. The fireballer lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero.

Everton took the loss for Polytech. Everton went six innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out three.

Kyla Tilghman, Sumpter, and Karly Cain each collected one hit to lead Lake Forest Varsity Spartans.

Polytech didn't commit a single error in the field. Kyla Davis had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
 
4-12-22 Delaware Softball Games

Odessa 17 Glasgow 4
Despite allowing four runs in the fourth inning, Odessa defeated Glasgow 17-4 on Tuesday. The big inning for Glasgow Lady Dragons Varsity came thanks to a single by Aaliyah Broaddus, a home run by Amanda Garay-Torres, and an error on a ball put in play by Huriayya Abdus-Shahid.

Natalie Gephart took the win for the Ducks. The righty went three innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out four and walking one. Olivia Benderoth threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Breonna Bolen took the loss for the Lady Dragons.The pitcher surrendered 14 runs on two hits over two innings.

Hibbard, Gabrielle Shetzler, Brooke Maxwell, and Benderoth each collected one hit to lead Odessa.

Cape 10 Padua 4
Ava Calciano was 3 for 4 with a triple and 3 RBI's, Jay'Lyn Slater added a hit, double, and 4 RBI's, Milena Buehler, Alivia Heers, and Kenna Justice added 2 hits each for the Vikings in the win. Abby Marsh pitched all 7 innings striking out 7 and giving up 4 hits, walking 1.
Lauren Schurman threw a great game for the Pandas with 17 strikeouts, 2 walks. She also led offensively with a double, a homerun, and 4 RBI's. Cate Schrader and Victoria Corbo each added a hit. .
Brandywine 17 AI DuPont 0 Megan Leary pitched a complete game no-hitter, while striking out 10! The Bulldog's hitting was led by Theckston going 3 for 3 and 2 rbi's. Groover, Bargren, Leary, and Stroh each added 2 hits. Hadley scored 3 times, while Bargren and Philogene drove in 3 each.

Charter 14 Archmere 4 CC Johnston had 3 hits and knocked in 4 runs for the Force. Natalie Nycz had hit a homerun while Sophia Johnston had her first career homerun. Katie Hoban picked up the win for Charter.

Caravel 11 Smyrna 3
Brooke Holdsworth went 2 for 2 with 2 homeruns and 5 RBI's for Caravel Academy.
Meghan Shirley went 1 for 3 with a homerun and played incredible at 3rd for Smyrna.

Appoquinimink 5 William Penn 1 William Penn took an early lead over Appoquinimink in the bottom of the 1st when Madison Perry homered to left. However that would be the only hit Appoquinimink pitcher Savannah Laird would give up on the day. As she went the distance striking out 16 Colonials in the process. Appoquinimink took the lead in the 4th on a fielders choice from Haliey Watlington and sac fly from Olivia Marinucci. The Jaguars extended the lead to 4 to 1 in the fifth on back to back singles from Julia Weglarz and Watlington. Watlington singled again in the seventh driving home her 3rd run on the day to give the Jaguars the 5 to 1 lead. Madelyn Pritchard pitch a great game for William Penn striking out 12.

Delaware Military Academy 5 Conrad 1 Emily Trzonkowski pitched a 2 hitter and L. Delcollo, M. Edevane and L. Henn all had multiple hits to lead DMA. M. Strattman and A. Pesce had a hit for Conrad.

Woodbridge 12 Dover 4
Dover's Jamie Chandler and Jazlyn Roberts each had 2 hits.
Kylee Fink had 3 hits and 2 RBI's for Woodbridge. Payton Keeler had a double and triple and scored 2 runs. Parker Keeler blasted a triple and a homerun with 3 RBI's and scored 3 times. Caroline Scott had 2 hits with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Hannah Jefferson added 2 hits and 2 RBI's to Woodbridge's offense.

Caesar Rodney 2 Laurel 1
Caesar Rodney Riders Varsity seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off triple at the end of the game to topple Laurel. The game was tied at one with Caesar Rodney Riders Varsity batting in the bottom of the eighth when Stacey Deputy tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Peyton Shields struck out seven, while Kylee Hill sat down two.

Shields earned the win for Caesar Rodney Riders Varsity. Shields surrendered one run on five hits over eight innings, striking out seven and walking zero.
Hill took the loss for Laurel. The hurler surrendered two runs on six hits over seven and a third innings, striking out two.
Deputy went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Caesar Rodney Riders Varsity in hits.
Bailey Ullman led Laurel with two hits in four at bats.

Middletown 13 Mt. Pleasant 0 Reese Founds threw a perfect game in the 13-0 shut out against Mount Pleasant. The Cavaliers had 14 hits in the game. Montgomery, Stenvik, M. Hackett, J Hackett, & Maiorano, all collected multiple hits for the complete team effort win. Gillian pitched all 4 innings with two strike outs for Mount Pleasant.

Concord 16 Sussex Tech 15
Concord's offense was led by Maddy Michulka who had 3 hits and 4 RBI's which included knocking in the game-winning run and McKenzie Camp who also had 3 hits on the day. Ruby Heggan had 2 hits which included two triples, Rachel Waslyn had 2 hits and 3 RBI's, and Rylee Waslyn had 2 hits, an RBI and scored the winning run.

Sussex Tech's Victoria LeCates and Shaniya Lewis each had 3 hits including a triple and L. Lewis, Penrod, and Mitchell also contributed 2 hits each.
