Malvern Prep PA 10 St. Georges 9

The Hawks competed in a tight game with Malvern Prep with the entire team contributing. Andrew and Nathan Arterbridge and Shawn Edevane had two hits each with one of Edevane’s hits being a two run homer for St. Georges. Sophomore, Jimmy Breen pitched into the sixth inning of a strong outing. Trey Tiffan hit the game winning three run homer in the bottom of the seventh for Malvern Prep.

Appoquinimink 14 Newark 4 Chase Fleming struck out 6 through 5 innings to earn his first win of the season. Lorenzo Carrier and Austin Luszcz led the Appo offense with a double and triple each, Luszcz finished with 3 hits. Keegan Miller, Macay Trotto, and Evan Bouldin each had 2 hits for appo. Dustin Green and Tyler Bedford each had a hit and a run for Newark.

John Carroll 8 Caravel 7 Caravel fell to John Carroll School (MD) 8-7 on Wednesday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at seven with in the bottom of the eighth when a double, scored the go ahead run.The Bucs collected seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Miguel Herb and Ryan Lester each had 2 hits. Logan Boettcher started the game for Caravel The pitcher lasted five solid innings, scattering eight hits and four runs while striking out five and walking one.

Tower Hill 8 Tatnall 1 Kenyon Motley picked up the win, giving up two hits in 5 innings of work. Chris Simon led the offense with three RBI's. Tatnalls' Brody Clayton, Michael Walter -Dillon and Michael McGinley each had hits.

Archmere 23 First State Military Academy 3 Tom Penrod pitched strongly in relief for Archmere. Alexander Devoy, Jamie Duncan, and Daniel Holowka provided hits for First State Military Academy.

Brandywine 18 Glasgow 5 :Sean Bogan led the hitting attack with 4hits including a 3 run home run, and drove in 4 runs. Joe Bockrath drove in 5 runs with 2 hits. Nate Taylor, Will Jones, and Matt McGill added 2 hits each. Dominic Joseph had 3 hits for Glasgow. Brandon Gamble picked up his third win of the season.

Mt. Pleasant 15 Delcastle 6
Evan Schuibbio came to ballpark and meant business on Thursday, tallying four hits and leading Green Knights to a 15-6 win over Delcastle. Schuibbio singled in the second, singled in the fifth, doubled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.
Delcastle scored four runs in the fourth inning, but Green Knights still managed to pull out the victory. Delcastle batters contributing to the big inning included Ferrario and Cotto, who all drove in runs.
Green Knights took the lead for good with four runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Abe Burr doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs and Schuibbio singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Green Knights notched six runs in the sixth inning. Nick Harkins, Burr, Schuibbio, and Tristan Wright powered the big inning with RBIs.
Jay Simmons led the Green Knights to victory on the mound. Simmons allowed one hit and one run over three and a third innings, striking out six.
Blackston took the loss for Delcastle. The bulldog allowed eight hits and six runs over four innings, striking out three.
Burr started the game for Green Knights. The righthander surrendered five runs on four hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six
Green Knights launched one home run on the day. Simmons went deep in the third inning.
Green Knights racked up 13 hits. Schuibbio, Cooper Berry, and Burr all collected multiple hits for Green Knights. Schuibbio went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Green Knights in hits. Green Knights tore up the base paths, as five players stole at least two bases. Harkins led the way with five.
Cotto led Delcastle with two hits in three at bats.

Conrad 6 Salesianum 4
Tyler Pirrung collected four hits in four at bats to help lead Conrad to victory. Purring singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fifth, and doubled in the sixth.Tyler Reinert pitched Conrad to victory. The ace lasted five innings, allowing one hit and three runs while striking out seven. Joseph Malinowski and Logan Myers entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.Ryan Rzucidlo took the loss for Salesianum. The pitcher surrendered six runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.Conor Cambell went 2 for 3 at the plate to lead Salesianum in hits.Jeremy Coleman had 4 stolen bases for Conrad.
Appoquinimink 11 Hodgson 0 Aidan Deakins struck out 9 hodgson hitters and only allowed 1 hit in a complete game performance. Lorenzo Carrier led the Appo offense going 3-3 with a double, a triple, 4 RBI's, and 4 stolen bases. Keegan Miller and Aiden Fleming had 2 hits each. Nick Akers had 1 hit, and Ryan Reichard reached base twice for Hodgson.

Cape Henlopen 6 Indian River 1 Nick Cox threw 6 innings allowing 1 run with 9 K's to get the win for Cape. Hunter Rauch had 3 hits including a triple with an RBI and 2 runs scored while Josh Reinhold also had 3 hits with an RBI and a run scored. Gage Joseph was 1 for 1 with a triple, 2 sac flies, a walk, and 3 RBI's to round out the Cape offense. Kyle Coffey had a hit and a run scored for IR.

Milford 15 Seaford 5 Ryan Mejia earned his first varsity win for the Bucs. Mitch Leighty had 3 hits and 3 rbi. Mason Morris had 2 hits, including a double and 5 rbi. Alex Mergner added a 2 rbi single. Branden Widdowson had a 2 run double and Zane Adams had a rbi single to lead the Bluejays.

Newark Varsity Yellowjackets Downs St. Elizabeth, 6-3
Newark Varsity Yellowjackets defeated St. Elizabeth 6-3 on Thursday.

Newark Varsity Yellowjackets got things started in the first inning when Gavin Smith grounded into a double play, but still managed to knock in one run.

Newark Varsity Yellowjackets pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Jaden Barton singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Smith doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Smith led the Newark Varsity Yellowjackets to victory on the hill. Smith surrendered two runs on four hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Jacob Geyer and Tyler Bedford entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Wesley Gant took the loss for St. Elizabeth. Gant lasted two and a third innings, allowing five hits and five runs while walking zero.

Newark Varsity Yellowjackets tallied 11 hits in the game. Philip Bovankovich, Barton, Ben Conkey, and Smith all collected multiple hits for Newark Varsity Yellowjackets. Smith, Conkey, Barton, and Bovankovich each collected two hits to lead Newark Varsity Yellowjackets. Newark Varsity Yellowjackets was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Barton made the most plays with six.

Shawn Cintron led St. Elizabeth with two hits in three at bats.

Smyrna 5 Woodbridge 1 Freshman Nathan Donahue threw 6 shutout innings on the mound for the Eagles while scattering 3 hits and striking out 6. Jacob Macey led Smyrna at the plate, going 2-2 for with an RBI. Connor Strauss and Joseph Street had hits for the Eagles as well. Seth Smart threw 6 2/3 innings for Woodbridge and only allowed 1 earned run and struck out 8. Smart also went 2-3 at the plate with a double. Will Hague and Parker Short had the other two hits for Woodbridge. Freshman Nathan Donahue threw 6 shutout innings on the mound for the Eagles while scattering 3 hits and striking out 6. Jacob Macey led Smyrna at the plate, going 2-2 for with an RBI. Connor Strauss and Joseph Street had hits for the Eagles as well. Sussex Central 20 Sussex Academy 1 AJ Cannon led the Knights to victory going 3-4 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs. Chase Boyle went 3-5 with a home run and 5 RBIs while Brendan Anderson added 3 hits as well. Cole Jester added a solo homer. Jackson Mariner pitched 5 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 5. McLaughlin and Hudson chipped in two hits a piece for SAS. AJ Cannon led the Knights to victory going 3-4 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs. Chase Boyle went 3-5 with a home run and 5 RBIs while Brendan Anderson added 3 hits as well. Cole Jester added a solo homer. Jackson Mariner pitched 5 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 5. McLaughlin and Hudson chipped in two hits a piece for SAS.

Caesar Rodney 17 Newark Charter 8 CR tallied 15 hits in this non-conference victory. Nathaniel Garrison struck out 5 in 4.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound. Jake Armstrong, Josh Harvey, Andrew Rigby, Mason Wrede, David Dill and Alex Bauer all collected multiple hits for the Riders. Will Dubecq had a multi hit day for the Patriots including a triple.CR tallied 15 hits in this non-conference victory. Nathaniel Garrison struck out 5 in 4.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound. Jake Armstrong, Josh Harvey, Andrew Rigby, Mason Wrede, David Dill and Alex Bauer all collected multiple hits for the Riders. Will Dubecq had a multi hit day for the Patriots including a triple.

Delmarva Christian 17 Holly Grove 6
Holly Grove put up 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to keep the game from ending early. HG used plate discipline and timely hitting from Luke Lilliston who collected two hits for Holly Grove and Braden Wieland who doubled on a hard hit ball to left center.

For the Royals, Riley Culver collected 4 hits (2 2Bs) and drove in 4. Tommy Obertubbesin (2B) Andreas Caruso, and Chase Hesson each had multi hit games.Holly Grove put up 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to keep the game from ending early. HG used plate discipline and timely hitting from Luke Lilliston who collected two hits for Holly Grove and Braden Wieland who doubled on a hard hit ball to left center.
