Caravel 17 MOT Charter School 0
Diomede went 4 for 4, Holdsworth went 3 for 3 (5 RBI), Dickerson went 2 for 2 (1 RBI), Rocke, L went 2 for 2 (1RBI), Rocke, Z went 2 for 2 (2 RBI) for Caravel Academy.

Lorenzoni and Sapp both went 1 for 2 for MOT Charter.

Middletown 8 Dover 1 Middletown started in the 1st inning with double by Jax Hackett and a RBI triple by Reese Founds. The hits continued in the 2nd with RBI hits by Paige McGonigal, Lydia Drake and Hackett. Founds, Drake and J. Hackett had multiple hits for the day. Drake allowed 2 hits and had 12 strike outs for Middletown. Chelsea Johnson and Jamie Chandler had a hit each for Dover.

Smyrna 20 St. Elizabeth 0 Payton Dixon and Carly Maxton pitched a combined no-hitter shutout for the Eagles. Dixon, Eihinger, and Makayla Brantley each produced 3 RBIs. Sheridan Price and Meghan Shirey had 3 runs for the Eagles.

Sussex Tech 10 Mt. Pleasant 4
Victoria Lecates had 2 hits including a double and four rbi's, Megan Sterling had 3 hits including a double. Kylie Kruger and Jaya Shaub had two hits each and Laniya Lewis had a home run and two rbi's to lead Sussex Tech on offense.
Teagan Bradley had a double and a home run for Mount Pleasant.

Padua 13 Cape Henlopen 3
Padua Academy had all cylinders firing on offense in the first round game of the 2021 state tournament, winning big over Cape Hemlopen 10-3.
Cape Henlopen got on the board in the first inring scoring 2 runs on a double by Taylor Husbands, who led Cape going 2 for 3 on the day.
Padua pulled away for good with 5 runs in the thrid and sixth innings. In the thrid, Sara Moore tripled scoring two runs followed by Lauren Schurman who doubled and scored a run and a single by Cate Shrader scored an additional run. In the bottom of the sixth the scoring began when Maura Mullin singled scoring a run followed by key walks and an error by Cape.

Delaware Military Academy 9 Polytech 0 Graceyn Frost pitched a perfect game, striking out all 21 batters she faced and 4 players had multiple hits with Gabriella Campbell leading the way going 4 for 4 for DMA.













Lauren Schurman paved the way going 3-4 at the plate and went six innings, allowing 2 earned runs on four hits and struck out 6 on the mound for the Pandas.
