Great weather this weekend. Lots of games and a few very interesting ones:

Appo (7-1) @ Dover (4-1). Appo has won 7 straight games including wins over Mtown & Sallies. Appo is averaging almost 9 runs per game and have only given up 9 total runs all season (4 of which were to Hodgson). Dover is coming off a heartbreaker losing to Tech by 1 run. Before that they had won four straight games including a shutout of CR. Appo's ace, Garrett just pitched a complete game on Thursday so i'm assuming he won't be available to pitch. Appo won last years meeting 2-1. Dover won the three previous meetings.

CR (4-3) @ Mtown (5-2). CR coming off a comeback win over Lake. Mtown comes off a 7-1 loss to conference rival, Appo. CR beat Mtown 6-1 in 2014.

Central (4-3) @ Milford (4-1). Central has lost 3 of its last 4 games. Milford lost its first game of the season to Smyrna 12-5. Central beat Milford 10-0 in 2014.

Wm Penn (5-4) @ Mt Pleasant (4-1). Penn after starting 0-3, reeled off 5 wins including a win over DMA. The just lost a heartbreaker to Charter 6-5 giving up 2 runs in the 7th. Mt P's only loss of the season was to St Georges 11-6. Mt P beat Penn 5-2 in 2014.

Archmere (4-1) @ Polytech (4-3). Archmere started off 4-0 with big wins over WP, Conrad, DMA & CR. Then St Marks put it on them 8-2. Arch hasn't played in a week. Arch is led on the mound by Voge (3-0) but the bats have pretty light this year since there 13-0 opener on the season. Poly started off slow going 1-3, with 3 straight losses by Central, CR & Smyrna (2 of them 10-runners). They have since settled down and got three straight wins including an 11-4 win over a pretty decent Lake team. Poly has Haas & Hanhauser on the mound, each with 2 wins. Arch beat Poly 4-2 last season.

Sallies (3-2) @ Cape (2-4). Sallies has been slow to get moving. They had disappointing losses to Caravel & Appo, but have bounced back with a close win over Central and a nice win over St E. Sallies has struggled at the plate a little averaging just barely 4 runs per game. I guess thats ok since they have only given up less than 3 runs per game. Cape has had 3 straight losses against Lake, Appo and Central, only scoring 3 runs total in that stretch while giving up 24 runs total. Cape won this matchup in 2014, scoring 5 in the first inning and holding on 5-3.

Neumann-Goretti @ Caravel (6-1). Caravel coming off its big win over St Marks on Wed and another on Thursday against Curley. NG played Sallies back in 2012, and won 8-1. NG is coming off 24-5 season in 2014 in which they lost 4-3 in the semi finals of the AA state championship. They are 6-1 to start this season. To kind of put things in perspective, NG beat Conwell-Egan 18-5 this year, Caravel beat Conwell-Egan 7-5. Looks to be another good OOS team to grace the field at Caravel saturday night.

Tower Hill has moved to 6-1 including a 7-3 win over St. E. If that's a nice win for Sallies, we probably should give TH credit for it as well. They're probably headed towards the playoffs- only loss was 5-2 against a Milford team that's now 5-1. They play Archmere and Sallies later in the season so those should be good measuring sticks.

Give us a holler when they beat a good out of conference team. Indie teams play in conference 12 out of 18 games. Play each team 3 times. Should not be allowed.
