Temps cooled down...sunny and little breezy today.

Light schedule but a couple of interesting games:

St Marks (12-3) @ Sussex Central (10-6). St Marks' last three games are against downstate teams. A quick flight for St Marks to travel downstate for this one. St Marks has won 6 of its last 7 games. St Marks is 5-0 this year against downstate teams. St Marks was 10-0 last season against downstate teams. (you get the picture). St Marks has pretty much locked up a playoff spot as they are at the top of the playoff point list. Central is currently in the #13 spot in points. They play St Marks and Laurel to finish the season. 1 win puts them on the bubble and possibly in danger...2 wins i would think would clinch a playoff berth. St Marks beat Central 11-0 last year and 11-1 in 2013 and blanked them 4-0 in 2012.

Dover (14-2) @ Delmar (8-9). Big game for Henlopen North. If Dover wins, they clinch the Henlopen North title and Delmar officially is out of the playoffs with their 10th loss (probably mathematically out anyway though). If Delmar wins, Dover falls into a 3-way tie with Tech and Cape for the Henlopen North Title. Not sure of the tie breaker since Dover beat Cape, Cape beat Tech and Tech beat Dover. For Delmar this is all about pride and playing spoiler, as well as ending the season at .500. Dover is at the top of the points race, so they will probably get in the playoffs either way, win or lose. Dover no-hit Delmar last season.

Glasgow (5-10) @ Wm Penn (8-7). Glasgow looks to play spoiler again today. They beat Conrad last night and hurt their playoff aspirations, now they get Wm Penn, who is hanging by a string. Glasgow seemed down and out losing 3 of its last 4, including losses to A.I., Delcastle and Dickinson. But they turned it around and beat Conrad with the help of Coates on the mound. But Glasgow will be without Coates on the mound for today's game. Wm Penn has not been able to stay consistent this season. They started 0-3, then shot back with 5 wins outscoring their opponents 54-7. Then they drop two 1-run games to average teams (Mt P & Charter) to fall back to .500. They then win 3 straight and are poised to make a playoff run. But they drop two straight games to Appo & Newark to put their playoff shot in jeopardy. Now with three games remaining, all against weaker teams (Howard, Bwine & Glasgow), Wm Penn has to win out to have a shot. They trail the #16 team by 10 playoff pts, but with three wins and some bonus pts Penn might be around the bubble and have a slim shot.
