Carah Sumpter threw a gem on Monday for Lake Forest Varsity Spartans, allowing zero runs and besting Odessa Varsity Ducks by a score of 11-0

Lake Forest Varsity Spartans secured the victory thanks to six runs in the third inning. Lake Forest Varsity Spartans's offense in the inning came from singles by Addyson Stewart and Carley Rebuck, a triple by Grace Hastings, a groundout by Kyla Tilghman, and a double by Katelyn Bell.

One bright spot for Odessa Varsity Ducks was a double by Gabriella Pudimott in the fourth inning.

Sumpter led things off in the circle for Lake Forest Varsity Spartans. The ace went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out eight and walking zero.

Lake Forest Varsity Spartans racked up 14 hits. Bell, Hastings, Rebuck, Rylee Barlow, and Karly Cain each managed multiple hits for Lake Forest Varsity Spartans. Hastings and Bell each managed three hits to lead Lake Forest Varsity Spartans.

Pudimott led Odessa Varsity Ducks with one hit in two at bats.
