The only thing even close to that in terms of a turnaround was the ending of this year's Super Bowl. Several WP fans were said to have become alcoholics in the months following that game.

That place was bedlam. The Deon Jones game winner for Sanford over Red Lion was tremendous, but this game was surreal. Two great teams and it lived up to hype. I was fortunate enough to get a ticket for this game.

Alex Karlsen was a counselor at Gene Thompson's basketball camp the summer following that shot and ALL us campers tried to duplicate that shot for him, right down the celebration, it was fun. Definitely one of the top 3 or 5 sports moments in Delaware history.
