The Mount Mat Madness tournament which is run by Neil Adleberg has been one of the premier in-season high school wrestling tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic area since its inception. We have a few openings for new teams this year. We are looking for solid teams, with a few state placing caliber wrestlers.
This is a very tough tournament so it is not ideal for young teams. The dates for the 13th installment are Thursday and Friday, December 29th and 30th, 2016.
We will have 32 teams, and wrestle through the quarter-finals on the first day. Everyone that returns on day 2 will be a placer (we place the top 8).
Two years ago, the tournament moved to the campus of Mt. St. Joe in Baltimore (now it's permanent home). The Smith Center is a state of the art facility that helps make MMM one of the most fan friendly tournaments you will ever attend. Monitors are placed throughout the arena so fans can stay up to date on the action and upcoming bouts, as well as team scores. There is also a large bout board that is projected onto the wall.
