RR2....absolutely not official. These are my calculations. I do my very best to keep them accurate. 2 people have "double checked" to their numbers. But nothing official until all games are played and DIAA does the calcs as well as the out of state game research.

I'm sorry....just really irks me that no "mainstream" public high school north of the canal can put together a baseball team that makes the top 20.

Two schools from one town in the top 4 seeds. Imagine if there was only one school Middletown!

Not to mention a bunch of Middletown kids go to Caravel and St Georges

Just one of those years. Four of those types of schools are in the 22-26 slots above. By my count, there are 18 public school baseball teams north of the canal, of which 10 are "mainstream". We usually get one or two in the tournament. A.I. lost in the semi-finals in 2014. So much depends on whether or not your kids have been playing youth baseball all their lives. Some years you have enough of those kids to make a run, and some years you don't.

I love your optimism, but I've been around youth baseball for some time now. I've seen a huge shift. The '11 (3rd in region) team I coached largely went private, '12 ( 2nd in region) was the last team that was split between mainstream public and private, '13 LLWS team: almost exclusively private, vo-tech, charter or moved below the canal, '14 all private or charter. See the trend?

I guess I am a little more optimistic than you are. Just a few years ago Glasgow was winning 1 or 2 games/year. Now they're having success. Some of that has been the roster, but the coaching must have something to do with it. Similar thing happened at William Penn. I guess I see coaching as the one thing that these schools can control.

WCS beats DMA 1-0 with as Luke Rettig strikes out 16 and tosses a no-hitter.

That may knock DMA out? Also gives a few WCS opponents bonus points as noted above. They finished the season on a hot streak.

Ok. Based on Wilmington Charter winning and Delmarva Christian winning, they finish .500 and dish out points to all their opponents.

Based on my first recheck of MY numbers I do believe the top 20 above will hold. As will the top 12. The order changes slightly.

One wildcard is out of state games final records.

The other wildcard is who won the Flight B conference. If Glasgow wins, then they jump in the tourney and knock out DMA or Smyrna with are tied at 51.

Also Delmarva Christian beats Howard 10-1 to go to .500. Red Lion and WCS pick up bonus points from that.

Red Lion beats McKean 17-2 today.

I think Hodgson at 55 is passed by Newark a charter at 56, pushing Hodgson out of the top 12?

Pksundevil...

Good catch. But I have Dover and Hodgson tied at 55. One would be out of top 12 assuming my numbers are correct.

I've been told that Hodgson remains at 12 and Dover falls back to 13. Congrats to WCS and to their pitcher that's an unbelievable peformance by him.

Henlopen teams will definitely match up which should be interesting. Polytech against Delmar would be very interesting.
