Here's my estimates of where we are in the playoff points scenarios. I have verified all out of state opponents so far. Bonus points have been awarded in all cases where games have been played. Seedings may be shuffled based on head to head matchups where ties exist in the point indices.

Clarification - the +1 & +2 bonus is counted as # games giving 1 or 2 points

Certainly some teams 10-20 that could ruin a top half title run. Should be a fun tourney, can't wait.

Looks like the Henlopen teams will be playing each other in the 1st round...beating each other up, as they have all season...reducing their numbers for the second round. I guess it's sour grapes, being penalized for playing in a stronger conference.

Additional bonus points looming as St. Marks, Cape, St. E's, Milford all have 11 wins with 3,1,2,&2 games remaining respectively. The 12th win would lock them into a .667 winning percentage. If season ended today, St Marks, St. E, and Milford would give the extra bonus point at 11-4, 11-5, 11-5, respectively.

St Georges, Glasgow, Polytech are sitting at 10 wins with 2, 3, & 3 games remaining, respectively.

Mt. Pleasant, CR & Seaford with a shot to get to 9 wins and give a bonus point with 2, 2, & 3 games remaining.

Wilmington Christian, McKean, Howard with 6 wins and a shot to get to 9 wins with 4,3 & 3 remaining.

Delmarva Christian is at 7 wins right now but has a winning record at 7-6 and could also give a bonus point

Penalized?
You are in the tournament playing for the state championship
Who cares what conference you are in?
Think Caravel

@woodgreen I don't think rider meant it in a bad way. If you look at it though those teams beat each other up the whole year. Look at Central started out 1-5 and went on a roll beating almost every Henlopen North in a couple of weeks. Playing in a good conference prepares you for the tournament however it also hurts you because you may loss a couple games here and there. Based off the point projection the Henlopen will have 6 teams which is very impressive.

Some game results came in after I started the work last night, so any late entries after 8or 9pm may not be reflected in my entries.

When I did my spreadsheets I marked all teams opponents with color indicating the number of wins so perhaps I may have miscoded a few with an incorrect color

OldSkool with many of the teams, it looks like we may be off by a point this may be due to late games coming in possibly pushing a team to the next bonus point level.

I'll try to take a look at it tonight.

Considering we had the first post about points nearly 2 weeks or so ago and nothing since I figured I'd give it a shot at updating.

Also, considering it was after 3am when I finally posted this I may have sleepy eyed it. Its been a long work week and thought I would at least relax doing something I was interested in. :)

DE-Sussex....no worries...it was great work on your part. It might be mine that are off. Its nice to have another set of eyes. Trust me, i know how much work goes into the points calculations. I don't like to do it too early because there are way too many gyrations. Even now with only a few days remaining, if a team wins a game, they can shoot from out of it, to the middle of the pack with just 3 pts. Or look at a team like Dover who has two games left and by my calculation has NINE bonus pts still available. Thats a 15 swing if everything falls in place. I currently have Dover at 20th in points, but 15 points would take them to the top. But its interesting to calculate and speculate.

@DoverSenator exactly, call me a homer but the henlopen teams this year are being penalized for playing in the toughest conference in the state. regards to wins and loses and points....point and case Sussex Tech beating St Marks and Cape beating Caravel, according to the points index Cape #10 beat #2 and Sussex Tech #18 beat # 4.....

Without a doubt the best conference in my opinion. Not much to debate besides maybe the Diamond State but there's only a couple solid teams there. Central was one of the bottom teams in the North and just about beat the top teams all in a week than follow it up with almost beating Caravel is impressive. I think the competition is good for them though it definitely prepares them. Sad part is teams like Central and Tech are fighting for a playoff spot and are better than teams like Tower Hill and RL but they get rewarded for playing a weak schedule.

Sussex central deserves to be in playoffs , no one will want to see them in playoffs . sussex did a great job hitting and pitching was very good in the game I saw . Sussex will be one of the top teams no one wants to face in playoffs bubble right now . JMO

Agreed. Another vote for Henlopen North as toughest conference top to bottom. Agreed Central deserves to be in. No one would want to see Central (Toppin) or Tech (Warrington/Parks) in a round one game ... also how about Smyrna with Carrow on the mound. If these points are correct Smyrna is #23 and out of the field? Proof is in the desire to win. You ask a coach who would you rather face Tower Hill or RL or Smyrna (Carrow) see what results you get. Find me another team in any conference that may not make the field you can say that about.

The Henlopen has 8 teams with with 10+ wins and a chance for one more , not sure another conference can compete with that
