2.) Lake Forest(16-2)
3.) Appo(15-3)
4.) Sussex Tech(15-3)
5.) DMA(13-5)
6.) Smyrna(15-3)
7.) Red Lion(14-4)
8.) Sussex Central(14-4)
9.) Delmar(14-4)
10.) Indian River(13-5)
11.) Milford(14-4)
12.) Padua(13-5)
13.) Newark Charter(13-4)
14.) St. Georges(15-3)
15.) Wilmington Charter(10-8)
16.) Middletown(10-8)

Someone want to explain that #1 seed? I don't give a damn who they faced out of state. Lake had the better record overall, beat Caravel head to head, and had the better record against common opponents.

Caravel went 0-4 against the Henlopen conference, ridiculous for them to get #1 seed, I would love to hear the reasoning behind it.

Too take it a little further they were out scored 34-11 against the 4 Henlopen teams they played.

5-6 against instate opponents lmao

I was kind of stunned when I saw the seeding as well. I don't follow it as closely as I used to, but in the end seeding really doesn't matter too much when it comes to softball. Having watched a lot of it over the years, none of it matters when the players take the field. One thing I have noticed, once a team starts rolling, they can be hard to stop.

Lady Bucs definitely got hot in the tournament with14-8, 8-7, 18-5, 17-9 victories and hitting nearly 20 HR on their way to the title.
