What if there had been separate public and private championships ? ?

For weeks many people have pushed the idea of watering down the state championship to include a few different titles.

Had there been separate public and private titles in our little state, Cape would've lost to Sallies during the regular season while presumably winning the "public" championship. Assuming Sallies won the "private" version, Cape's championship would've been diminished and most people would view them as something less than the true state wide champions.
