Would summer high school baseball work in Delaware?

The Iowa high school baseball season runs from 5/21 through the end of July. I know that would have a huge impact on Legion and travel team schedules. Maybe push everything back one month?

I am all for that idea. Maybe not wait until May 21 to start the baseball season but at least pushing back everything a month, would greatly reduce cancelled games and practices early in the season when mother nature decides she isn't ready for spring yet and you aren't left having to play a ridiculous amount of games in such a short time frame where you are limping into the state tournament. Legion and travel balls would just have to adapt but I think this season has proven that it is needed to push that starting date back some. Legion and travel ball will work out just fine.

Actually, in some areas of the country, the Legion teams are predominately the local HS teams.
