Friday, Nov 15:
Salesianum at Smyrna [7:00pm]
This is a rematch of the 9/27 game in which Smyrna Came out on top 18-10. This will be another close game. If Smyrna would go ahead and put Star LB Debo at RB this week I would pick them, but something tells me the best player in the state will only play Half the game.... I'm going with the upset 21-20 Salesianum.
Wilmington Friends at Woodbridge [7:00pm]
Another rematch from early in the season on 9/27. Woodbridge won 21-14 with the game tied 14-14 in the 4thQ. Woodbridge seems to be trending down right (a lot of turnovers, close games when they should have blown out teams) and I do not know why. Woodbridge has killed Friends on big plays, going 6-3 vs Friends over the last 9 meetings. I think Big plays will decide this game also, Woodbridge 21-17
Concord at Sussex Central [7:00pm]
Concord sneaks in to the playoffs looking to pull off an upset. Defending State Champions Central has not beat a team with a winning record this season but played Smyrna and Dover Tough and both games could have went either way. Going with Central in a close one 28-24
Lake Forest at Delmar [7:30pm]
Another rematch from 10/11 where Delmar rolled 34-6. But remember that Lakes Qb was out of the Game with a Injury during the 2nd Q, But he does not play defense..... so Lake will need to find away to stop Delmar's Offense, I don't see that happening. Going with Delmar 28-14.
Saturday, Nov 16:
Caravel at Tower Hill [2:00pm]
This match up is the toughest of the week for me. Tower Hill has not won a game this year vs a team with a winning record. Caravel has won 2 games vs a team with a winning record (DMA and St. Andrews, not exactly powerhouses). Both teams feature one Back and can score. Common opponents St. Elizabeth and St. Andrews have almost identical scores. Caravel had 2 tough games Vs Woodbridge and concord and lost them both, Tower hill have 1 tough game and lost to friends.
Going with an Caravel 14-13.
Archmere at Howard [7:00pm - at Caravel]
Neither team has played a very hard schedule. But Howard played HVT tough and lost 28-14, but then wins a close game to AI who I thought they should have beaten by a lot. Which team shows up? I think it doesn't matter, Howard 35- Archmere 14.
