2015 All - State

Not that many outliers. Basically the same 5 schools on 1st Team O&D.
That's crazy!

As a fan I would trade the all state recognitions for a state title in a heart beat.
Not that kids don't deserve recognition.

A special shout out to Wm Penn's Brandon Dooley. The young man basically played on one leg this year. True warrior.

Ritter should get coach of the year. He with his 3 all state players, and only one first teamer beat St. George's 4 first teamers and 8 total. William Penn had the most 12 total, 5 first Teamers.
Salesianum-11, 7
Smyrna-9, 5

Agree. Ritter has done a wonderful job at Howard....now, for well over a decade.

15 years and counting for Dan Ritter. I don't think they've ever had a losing season under him, and if so, you can probably count those on a couple of fingers, which is impressive considering where Howard was prior to his arrival.

As for the All-State teams, hard-pressed to find any issues among the selections - ALL very deserving athletes. Wasn't surprising that Henderson was the best QB in the state this year, even though he was squeezed out in his own conference.

Ritter has a HELL of a coaching staff. If he was that great alone, this wouldn't be his first Chip! And let's just be honest, D2 was weeeeeeak.

Find it striking that no Independent Conference players made any of the Teams again this year. I know Independent Schools don't play the toughest of schedules but Friends has made the State Semi-Finals in Division 2 the last two years and was leading Howard this year up to the last two minutes of the game. How can it be that an entire conference does not have one player (in the last two years) who deserved to be at least a third team all - state pick?

Swag, when you win there is a lot of credit to go around. He has a great staff. If you rated the talent in D2 where would have Howard stacked up this year? Maybe 4th?

Congrats to all!! Upstate heavy results. Glad Henderson got what he deserves best QB this year on paper and on the field.

Elijah Lewis should have definitely been first team DT . His play all year shows it kid is a legit D1 college player for sure .

Not to take away from anyone else, but I still think he was the best DL I saw this year. But I also thought he should have received more recognition last year.

Either way, with that kind of talent, he will be successful at the next level.

Lewis definitely should have been first team no doubt. But best DL? Cathers and Burton are 2 nasty players who will perform well at the next level. So will Weldon from MT

They are all great players...I just like the way Lewis plays. I thought he should have been 1st team over the other DL from Sallies (not Cathers), but my son said the Sallies player was disruptive
