In what was probably the worst week in the history of the DHSCP, some interesting numbers.

1. Only 62.2% of the games were picked correctly.

2. Only 64.7% of total available points were earned.

3. Everyone picked Middletown, Smyrna, Howard and St. Marks to win, conversely everyone picked Arundel, Concord, Meade, and Red Lion to lose.

4. Arundel was picked to win by everyone to win last week and by everyone to lose this week.

5. The closest games were Central vs. Sallies and McKean vs. Odessa with 14 people picking Central and McKean to win and 6 people picking the Sallies and Odessa to win.

Rank is by Total Points. First tie breaker is Total Wins. Final Tie Breaker is Average Weekly Rank.

Assuming people picked every game every week, win % would be the same as Total Wins and Average Points per Week would be the same as Total Points, so neither is a unique parameter.

If two people earned 400 points over 10 weeks, the points/per week for both of them would be 40.

If two people picked 80 winners over 10 weeks, the wins/week for both of them would be 8.

If two people picked 80 winners over 10 weeks, the wins % for both of them would be 80%.

I wasn't looking at it in terms of any tie breaker just interesting statistics. I never put any tie breakers in. The game is points, if the points tie the points tie. How many games you can get right isn't really part of this game interesting to see and compare for sure. No biggie though

It's not really a big deal , I just found the Rank Average confusing and thought win % or average points would be something folks would like to see without having to do the math themselves. It's all good in neighborhood. I/WE appreciate you doing what you do

I picked average rank as a unique tiebreaker that rewards someone for doing better in the weekly picks. The odds of it being used to determine a winner are slight though.

It does allow for a "best weekly" winner to be awarded at the end of the season.
