Apparently 302 puts allot of stock into last years results. kinda lazy if you ask me .. just saying
That's what I was thinking. The lists looks like the final rankings from last year.
Not a Caravel fan, but the Bucs should be near to the top of D2 this year - more talented and easier schedule. Woodbridge is certainly a contender if they can reload and I'll throw in Tower/Friends winner.
If 302 is putting in stock into last year's results then Caesar Rodney would not ranked 6th. CR should not be ranked any higher than the other teams on that list. Tech should be on that list before CR.
Good point.. it didn't dawn on me Tech wasn't on the list. They definitely should be.. someone dropped the ball lol
Dover has a lot of work to do after this game. If history repeats itself, Dover could be looking like what happened to SC last year after a week 1 loss to HVT.
Indeed. Wasn’t at the game but I heard they were just totally undisciplined with tons of penalties. This can either go 2 ways, they wake up and realize the talent they have and that they have a real shot, or they keep playing slop, undisciplined, bad football. We’ve seen teams get blown out in the recent past and become state champs and making adjustments.
After week1 my D1 top five would be:

2. Sallies
3. Sussex Central
4. Middletown
5. St Georges

But we have Sallies next week so after what I saw today starting 0-2 is a strong possibility!
Easy jumping on SG’s back they didn’t play good against a horrible Cape team. Don’t give up on Dover as the season is young. I would however give the tip of the cap to Appo at 5 at the moment over Dover and SG’s.
The senators disappoint me. First game jitters? Undisciplined start but get it cleaned up? Not as good as I thought? Time will tell. I’m not going to give up on my state champ prediction, even with a loss to the Sals.
Central should be No. 1... 18 returning seniors.. Going be real tough to beat.. Dover, Tech, and Smryna lost.. Central is better than all 3 of those teams.. They will make a deep run again in playoffs..
Early season maxpreps ratings are a joke.. trust me no one in Maryland is talking about Northern as being anything.. and even 31 in MD thats like 10 in DE
