Looks to me the 2 places to go this week.

Sallies v Smyrna @ Caravel

St Georges v Hodgson @ StG St George's is undefeated.

MT has Delcastle and McKean probably not much going on there

Yea, STG is hosting Dover, Hodgson, and Newark week 4.
 
Elkton should handle Howard.

I’m intrigued on the Smyrna/Sallies matchup, thinking of riding up to Caravel to watch that one.

I heard Smyrna got their speedy WR back from DeMatha and now one of Hodgson's WR is down there. I guess everyone is trying to follow in Lloyd's footsteps.
 
That’s news to me.

Lloyd is still at Dematha and isn’t transferring. He’s graduating from there and going to South Carolina to compete for a starting role.

Devin is still at Dematha for Track and Field.....according to close family friends.

Hodgson WR is still up at Salem with Arnold, and as far as Kamryn is concerned, he never left. He’s still at Hodgson. At least he was last Tuesday. There were Rumors that he was leaving for Dematha as well but if so, I would think he missed the deadline for that considering we are 19-20 days away from Camp.

Then again, NCC 7on7 isn’t a school affiliate tournament, hence why no team is allowed to wear their logos on their helmets, so because of that, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did go to Dematha but still playing for Hodgson in 7on7.
 
It absolutely is school affiliated. Read the rules. You cannot play for a team if you are not a registered student at the school. No all star teams. The logos aren’t aren’t on the helmet because logos don’t get put on until after training camp and the season begins. It’s always been that way. Plenty of school logos on the shirts and shorts though. There is no rule logos can’t be on the helmets they just don’t put them on until the season starts. Cmon Hs you remember getting the logo the night before the first game.

I think I’m going to try and get to the sallies/Smyrna game. I think this will be a good matchup, giving a little preview of the season matchup. Even though the sals are not a strong 7 on 7 team and Smyrna is.
 
As far as deadlines transferring to a WCAC school or a MIAA school there are none unless your a incoming freshman and the school your trying to get into has more applications than spots available.

I worked with Devin Smith father and am still friends with him. He IS staying at Smyrna, they wanted more money then originally mentioned.

See I originally thought so, but there was discussion at one of the previous 7on7 games thatnits not. That’s why the team names are the sponsored names, and not just Sallies, Mckean, Elkton, etc. BiB, yes, I remember getting our logos the night before the first game but that was solely because every year the helmets had to be painted, and we would get new decals every year. But the discussion at one of the games was that they weren’t allowed to have their own logos on the helmets they wear. If anyone is watching Elkton, Pat attention to them, they are wearing A travel ball helmet, they honestly look like Bo Manora helmets. The Elks own helmets are White and Purprle. The ones they’ve been wearing the last two years have been black and red. But the shirts are paid for by their sponsors, they can put whatever they please on it. But yes, you have to be affiliated to a team, you can’t just hop on and join like a pick up game......that is what my understanding is on the rule of being part of said team. I may be wrong, you seem pretty stern on your viewpoint so I’m not saying you’re wrong, it’s just discussions that happen.

Helmets have to go get re certified every year. That may explain why Elkton or North East helmets may not be their own depending on when they send them and how many they have. Trust me you have to be a student registered to the school to play. I know this as fact. There are only a few sponsored teams now. Middletown is one of them but most are not. Sponsorship just pays the kids fees to play. CA kids pay their way And for the shirt. Actually I think it’s stupid to wear helmets for 7v7 league. They should wear the foam helmet things

Okay I see now, thank you for posting that. My intel was wrong. So, my apologies Mr. BiB sir! Hope all is well.

Oh yeah. Concerning Hodgson Receiver Thomas, has been playing with them during 7on7, but was told today that he transferred officially. He had to get is affairs on order first before he did. So that would make 3 quality starters from Hodgsons team that play both ways, maybe not Arnold, I think he was strictly RB, but 3 that just up and left.........which brings to question like a previous poster said, what’s going on at Hodgson????

There is probably nothing going on at Hodgson just kids believe and being sold the dream that it is better to play elsewhere than the school they are at for future rewards.

That's what I'm wondering. How do you leave a front runner for a state championship? I guess times have changed so much that a state championship doesn't mean anything anymore to some.

Who are the 4 you are talking about? Though it was just Arnold RB, Thomas WR, and a DB that shared time.

Did anyone go see the key matchups?

As expected, there wasn’t much going on at Middletown.

MT - Braden and the back up Colby seemed to have been splitting series evenly, more than they have been. Colby threw 2-3 nice deep touchdown passes. Braden has a nice up and out route to his slot receiver Mason, and a down the middle pass to Griffin both for TDs. The Cavs defense again looked Stout. Freshman DB Dru once again had 2 interceptions for the day. Dru played in the OneJourney bowl game just a few weeks ago, they posted some of his best plays on their Instagram page and I like what I see from him. Middletown also got their number 1 Receiver back on the field for the first time and you could tell was one of the better players on the field.

Mckean had some athletes. Not sure what they are doing up there but those kids are bigger than me and I’m not exactly the smallest guy around. They have a player, I should have asked his name, but he wore #7, he stood out, caught everything thrown to him, was good in coverage. But later on he collided with a MT player head on and you could tell he lost a step. Hope it wasn’t anything serious.

Delcastle didn’t have anything worth mentioning. There was more Debate on why Delcastle doesn’t pull a Charter and opt out of Flight A competition. They looked like they brought their whole team but was completely over matched.

Lake Forest seemed to had a good day with Mckean and Delcastle. Not sure their outcomes but their QB has a nice ball to him. Can throw deep, and seems to be accurate with where he puts it. I’m curious, cause I don’t know much on Lake except for that they are a running team more so than most, are they changing their offense up at all? I would put the ball in that boys hands and see what he can do with it. I honestly think they will be more competitive with some of the teams down south and at the D2 level.
 
Couldn’t find a thread to put this on so it’s going here.......

Former Middletown QB Darius Wade, has transferred from UD to Bowling Green. According to him, he’s in line for the starting QB job this upcoming season. As long as he stays healthy, it’s his job to lose.
 
You know it is possible to start a tread You don’t have find one to post on. Just saying.

That being said good luck to Wade but if he can’t start at UD it’s very likely his football career will end at Bowling Green. I only hope is he gets an employable degree out of it

I didn’t feel like it would create such a strong conversation to start a new thread.

But anyway, his career at UD was halted due to an injury. The doctor said it wasn’t smart to continue playing. However, he’s healed and gotten more opinions on the situation and they gave him the Green light to try once more. I feel like if he didn’t get hurt, he would have beat out Kehoe at UD.

But as far as degree goes, he graduated from Boston college in 3 years. He’s already got a diploma, unless he wants to take it further than that level.
