If my source is correct thevfootball landscape is in for a change. Heard a couple top D2 schools are moving up and a couple of struggling D1s are moving down. Should be interesting.

It possibly could be A.I., I totally forgot about them. Moving up would make for an interesting scenario for St. G and Hodgson in all sports, especially football. Are they ready to compete in Flight A? Guess we'll find out next fall.

Delcastle can not move down. With over 1500 according to

http://profiles.doe.k12.de.us/SchoolProfiles/School/Default.aspx?checkSchool=80&districtCode=38

it would be very difficult to justify. If we could get rid of the stigma of enrollment justifying DI and DII then we could actually have a level playing field in Delaware and we could end the arguement that DI is better than DII. We would actually know because the better teams would want to be in DI. Instead of hiding in DII just to win a state championship. Just my opinion.

I believe it is AI and Mount Pleasant dropping from my intel though.

Mount Pleasant is on every Flight A schedule (so assume they are still in Flight A next season, however they do have 3 non conference games, Howard, st. Marks, and Brandywine, telling me Flight A is staying at 8 teams) BUT left off of Middletowns. Mounts only open date is the last weekend of September WHICH is an open date for the Cavs.

Middletown still has two open dates in October, but with the three games on Sallies schedule, the only open date they both share is October 13th/14th.

Not sure who would move up or if any team will after seeing how the majority of Flight A schedule is already set with each other.

St georges and Hodgson are going up. Mount and AI are going down.

Would like to see St. Georges or MOT added to henlopen north.

HVT should have moved up quite a while ago......been playing games with the total #'s for a while.

I guess the change has been confirmed....Middletown @St. Georges. 9/30/17.....Hodgson @ Middletown 11/10/17.

Still no Sallies - MT match up as of yet. I also suspect the Cavs reaching out for an OOS game.

Hodgsons first game is at Sussex Central. Keeping the Howard game on their schedule and picked up DMA for their out of conference games.

St. Georges keeping Howard as well, and Caesar Rodney. Added Dover.

Same with AI and Mt Pleasants schedule all flipped to flight B teams

fyi Charters schedule

DMA, AI, Tower Hill, McKean, Friends, Conrad, First State Military, Tatnall, Archmere, Red Lion

schedule took no time to fill.. D2 teams lining up for those D1 points lol

It appears that the Slowskys and Cavs both have the second weekend in October open for next year.

I noticed the same thing Bummy, I'm still wondering WHY it's not finalized yet.

Middletown - Sals is on for next year...as is Concord, Sussex Tech, St. Marks, Smyrna and William Penn. There are still 4 open slots...maybe Caravel will be back. It looks like Judge, Dover and CR have moved on for the next cycle.

Caravel loses a ton of Sr's next year and there is not a lot in the hopper.. wont be any ECA's closing next year to help them out. Probably not a good game to schedule for either team.. at least next year.. JMHO

CA has six games scheduled for far ST Marks, Lake, Archmere, Silver Oak, Dickinson, Glasgow

I see there is a city game next year Tower Hill vs. Charter.
Once again the absence of a Howard- St Lizzie's game confounds...
It's been like 20 years.
