Uncle Bummy; I know you are close to the scene on all Sals football news. I have a feeling that this year will be DiNardo's last as coach. My reasons are that he has been at his since 2003 and lastly, his son is a senior. A lot of coaches hang in for another season at the helm in order to be their son's final H.S. coach. Witness Del Percio at MT. What do you think?? If he hangs up the clipboard maybe they make a run at Marks from Duck Creek. What do you think?

As you have so eloquently surmised on many occasions my opinion is of little significance. But in the spirit of Christian charity I will give you my honest opinion. BDN is good for a minimum of 5 years and maybe 15.

He is happy. It is reported by the cognoscenti that he loves Salesianum and his role as FB coach.

On a statistical note, he needs 5 years at a minimum to get 300 career coaching win. One of the clones can give you his total............260 something.

Then if Tattersall retires BDN can pass him and have the most DE HS FB wins.

Some of my clone friends actually are losing sleep over him possibly retiring. Bummy thinks that BDN may well coach into his 70's. He can coach his grand kids next.

Thank you for your input. I am afraid though given your dystopian view of the program that he may never get the 40 wins needed.

He's in it for the long haul. I have on good authority knowledge of a secret initiative going on as we speak whereby they are holding back a select group of 10 kids 2-3 times in middle school so that they can all hit the Sallies high school together as freshman in name, senior in age in a couple years and at which point they'll be back in the mix. Think of it. Not just one 22 year old senior, but 10. Scary.

To add more fuel to the retirement rumor it was recently announced he is no longer the Dean of Students. He has been moved to Assistant Principal for Student Discipline.

You sent bummy running to his dictionary. I thought that Dystopia was a town between Kenton and Cheswold.

That's got to do with the restructuring after Mike Gallagher left. Bill's job has always been getting after kids to tuck in shirts and cut their long hair. Even before he left Middletown he left the classroom.

I certainly can't speak to anyone's in house responsibilities. I do remember a couple year's back talking to the father of a 9th grade clone (non athlete) at a Dover-Slowsky FB game. The dad was pumped because the kid loved BDN's class.

Time to work on my city rankings. Maybe we will start off with just alphabetical order.

This just may be the year you shine! If you had any "marbles" you would rank Cross County and Soccer.
