A.I duPont's 2017 (junior) RB/DB/ATH AJ Gaymon has been putting up major numbers the last few weeks. Last Friday, he had over 400 All-Purpose Yards following 6 total touchdowns. This kid is defiantly one of those to keep an eye on going into next year. He's going to be special. Check out highlights from that game below !

Wow this kid is a great all purpose player.. His down hill speed and vision looks awesome ( game breaker)

He looked good this year! I'm hearing 3 of the boys from A.I. are transferring to Concord next year. Not sure which 3, but I have a pretty good idea of who it could be. That will definitely make things harder for AI next year if they go.

I'm with you, but i had a parent of one of the boys say the rumor is true. They are out. We will be losing some talent.

This goes back to a post I did a couple weeks ago, where we talked about recruiting. Kids want to play with the kids they train with. It also seems like the kids are trying to put themselves in a position to get looks off of the Roberts kids coat tails.

Also, I would change your post a little bit, because it makes it sound like AI coaches have been recruiting!

Well I will get to the bottom of this to see what the issue is and remove AJs name out of that talk . the same way I came to the school to talk to the coaches to see if it was a good fit would be the same way I would talk to them if he were to leave.. Which is not the case .. We are stand up people and loyal to the people who are loyal to us.. In AJs 8th grade year I talked to the AI coaches to see if AI would be a good fit for him and the replies were what I previously wrote1,2,and 3.. It will be the same thing going into college I will talk man to man to see if it's the right thing for AJ then support and enjoy the ride..

Teaching him how to be a leader.. Especially when things get tough or look a little bleak at times. He is young( 16 yes old ) , quiet but very respectful and coachable. He's learning when to speak up this will be a perfect lesson for him to learn from .. Lets go tigers

I didn't hear any rumor of your son leaving. It was other players.

Ok...that's good to know ... I will still talk to him asap about what's going on at AI I was just making sure that he isn't grouped in thoes talks .. In pushing him to be the best so he will be a great asset at which ever college that sees him as a great fit . for him and the college. ...I was trying to look up his totals for this year I was thinking his all purpose yards and his tds has to be pretty good this year. Do you know where I could get thoes kind of statistics from. Where he compares to other Jr's in the state

muggsy AI was trying to help you out.. 1,2 and 3 were all clear violations.. Coaches can't suggest in any way there is an athletic advantage in attending their school

10.2.2 If a coach or athletic director is contacted by a prospective athlete or his/her parent(s), legal guardian(s) or a Relative Caregiver, the former must refer the individual(s) to the principal or headmaster or school personnel responsible for admissions.

10.3 Permitted Activities 10.3.1 A school employee or Board approved volunteer may do the following:

10.3.1.1 Discuss the athletic program with a prospective student or his/her parent(s), legal guardian(s) or Relative Caregiver during an open house or approved visit initiated by the parent(s), legal guardian(s) or Relative Caregiver.

10.3.1.2 Provide information concerning sports offered, facilities, conference affiliation, and general athletic policies. However, he/she is not permitted to state or imply in any way that his/her athletic program is superior to that of another school or that it would be more beneficial or advantageous for the prospective student to participate in athletics at his/her school

There was no violation on AI's part I initiated everything with a volunteer and set a visit up.. They never put themselves over another school . I just reasured that my son would be properly prepared for going to college 10.3 to10.3.1.2 is all that happened I persued AI not the other way around ... There was no violation...

If the coach said what you said he did its is a violation.. its that simple.. It happens all the time but its dumb to post it... That was AI's point,,

Maybe I'm missing something but how does someone transfer from AI (Red Clay) to Concord (Bwine)?

Choice?

Moving?

Depends on the situation... after your Freshman year you get a free transfer. That said after that you can pretty much transfer back to your zoned HS anytime and claim transportation(financial) hardship or of course you move residence

That's how it's done! It's not hard stuff to do, just timely!

Too many kids chasing phantom scholarships . Focus on education and learning . That will get you farther in life than football.

And thats what AI DuPont offered. That was the main draw for choosing that school to attend along with football ,band, baseball And and all of the other extra curriculums that they have for the youth to attend .. Academics are #1 but thoes other activities/ and clubs are what make a student well rounded as a citizen. A student must explore every option in order to find there true purpose in life .. Everyone reaches that special point in many different ways..

Also for a lot of kids striving for a scholarship will be the only way the can be educated beyond highschool
