This is a very BIG week in Delaware High School football. We have the schedule for the state tournament being posted, and also this is the week all of the conference coaches get together for All-Conference Voting. As we all know those who get 1st Team All-Conference are in the running for All-State and POY Awards.

Just like the coaches, most of us only get to see the players from games we attended. I want to take this time to open up for EVERYONE to post VIDEO of players you believe are worthy of being recognized. Also post their jersey numbers, position, school and class. I look forward to seeing VIDEO posted of some players that we have not all had the opportunity and privilege to see. As I receive more videos this week from other players, I will be posting them too.

Till then, I received these 2 this morning:

Avery Roberts #11 (Sophomore) Linebacker (Concord) (My candidate for State Defensive POY. Just watch the video and you will see why!):

Keenan (KJ) Dorsey #66 (Senior)- Nose/Defensive Tackle (Concord):

@spartakos I guess you don't know me that well. Everyone who knows me knows my boys played at, and have now graduated from A.I. DuPont(hence A.I.Pride). As stated before, I have 1 playing at UD and the other is in prep school.

Now, I've created a good post. I post kids from ALL schools that I like every year. Most of the kids I post train at Stay Real, and I see them regularly. Now, put your kids film on there, so I can tell you how good he REALLY is. If you dare?

I think MT, has two RB's that are deserving of consideration! Haven't seen Lasana Brews Highlight reel but ended the reg. season with 1246 yds. 16 TDS and Frankie Datillo 1049 yds. 16 TDs here what I found http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3135807/highlights/181211382, Defensively Isiah Mitchell 8 interceptions, Luke Elentrio was a beast, Eric Snyder played well.

Someone just sent me these also. We've all heard about them, but film looks great!

Quadree Henderson #10- WR/DB (A.I.Dupont) Senior:

@Mobhits film looks really good. I re-posted the link, because it did not show up in your post. I think Delpercio should list him as a fullback to get more votes. There are a lot of RB that are good in Delaware that put up huge numbers too. Since he is only a junior, he should have a big year next year!

Frankie Datillo #33 RB (Middletown) Junior:

Thanks for the help A.I / I agree big year for RB's in the state, a lot to choose from, many different running styles !

I would guess Kane-FB, Carroll-RB, and Selby-RB will be First team All-State this year. I'm really at a loss for QB. Maybe Jones-HVT. Some of the names I'm starting to hear about either did not finish a season or play all of the season. That usually influences coaches votes.

@AIpride
Avery Roberts is a great young athlete but I don't believe as a sophomore he's anywhere ready or near the Defensive POY title. Just judging from past defensive POYs and the other older talent that is out there playing Defense

Kane and Reggie are the best RB"s both teams should have multiple all staters with POY will
Be hard to pick this year

Zach Warren #75 on Salesianum for Offensive guard. And #88 Connor Freeborn (UCONN commit) for outside linebacker. No one in this state is competing with these young men at these spots

Yes zach is good and Can Move for a big guy should be effective this Friday against Tech

Warren is a stud hands down but Freeborn isn't as good as he is hyped up to be.it depends on how they vote for linebackers. If they just vote for 3 LBs he shouldn't make first team.

@Flyers I kind of figured that as much. It was more my personal opinion based on how disruptive he was and the big games he had against the top teams that kept his team in the game. Im still very certain he will be All-State. That should be good enough fir the young man.I'm familiar with Delaware coaching and wanting kids to wait their turn. I believe the last underclassmen to earn this award was Patton from St. Elizabeth. You are right, this award usually goes to a senior who has gained national attention and is going to a known college next year.

I'm pretty sure they will be beating their brains in trying to determine how to divide the POY Awards between Jones, Savage, and Henderson. These awards always seem to be determined by where you committed to attend school next year.

@Threedogs3 what games have you seen freeborn play? Almost every game I have seen, the team runs away from his side. And when they do run to his side, he makes the play in the backfield.

For the sals, Warren (75), Reeder (28), and Freeborn (88) should get first team.

expert- those guys for 1st team for All Conference? Absolutely.......

All State?
Warren- Yes (1st)
Freeborn-Maybe (but he will get it) (1st or 2nd)
Reeder......deserves no honor at RB and he is very good- but not with this years crop of stud RB's in the State.
.....and at LB.....2nd team at best and that's a push.......

Sals win it all though and all of them will get 1st team

Havent Had the privelage to watch many upstate teams play so I'm not saying this is who definitely deserves All -State honors however These South RB's deserve their respect.

Kane- ST
Flamer- Lake
Auguste- Laurel

Kane definitely deserving, Flamer maybe as a Nose guard but no way RB, Auguste has a chance, problem is D-1 schools seem to get higher selection over D-2

Freeborn is no better then Selby -St. G or Morrow-DMA. But again too often it's the school that the player goes to that matters. Better believe C Reeder will get high accolades wether deserving it this year or not. I think offensive players are pretty much set and very obvious. Defensive players is a toss up and luck of the draw--or school.

Freeborn was insignificant against MT, their TE's pushed him around all night!

Moody from Dover was very good- looked to be out 3 games though. CR, Polytech and maybe Mt St Joseph or Tech. Wouldn't dispute his skills, Dover was a different team without him, but gotta play and be seen to get the Conference votes.

The following HVT players made flight B 1st team all-conference:
Ray Jones: 1st team QB, 1st team LB, 1st team kick return
Jake Jones: 1st team OL, 2nd team DL
Dwight Chavis: 1st team OL, 2nd team DL
