Has anyone heard the rumor that Caravels season might be in jeopardy…. I heard rumblings last night that Caravels season might has a player that might be ineligible and has been playing. Something about transferred from Caravel to Middletown and then transferred back to Caravel. But Middletown never released him. Just wondering if anyone’s else has heard anything along those lines.
Don’t know anything about that.
But class 3A….If Hodgson beats Penn today, (currently leading 19-0)
1. Sallies vs. 8. Cape
4. Sussex Central vs. 5. Appo
2. Smyrna vs. 7. St. George’s
3. Middletown vs. 6. Hodgson
IF DOVER vs. Carnaise is ruled a forfeit, Dover would get in and Cape is out.
If Middletown can keep a chip with an ineligible player then no one will step in the way of caravel. Precedent is set.
Heard something along those lines but not with Middletown ties.
Agreed with the above sentiment of the precedent has been set so they will likely get a strongly worded email.
If Middletown can play with SR transfer Parker and Smyrna Sr transfer Holman and Appo transfers Drummond and Rogers DIAA cant say shit about any Caravel transfers because none of them are on the level as the ones mentioned.
We are at the point where we need forget worrying about recruiting and transfers.. Its part of the game now and it has been tried in states supreme courts that students who are legally enrolled in a school and are academically eligible the state athletic associations cannot prohibit them from participating in after school programs including athletics..
Delaware has school choice that is that. If we didn't have school choice and student/parents were lying or faking addressees to go out of zone that would be a different thing. Which is alleged by the helicopter parents of MTs QB the last 2 years.. How did that work out?

Brings up a question.. The out of state players from a couple years ago who came to Middletown Delaware because they were going to play IMG and OOS and get exposure. Even though they got exposed and pounded in those games , where are they now?
