Would love to see Cramer get recognized somehow at the game since he couldn’t play the last 2 seasons due to injury but def would been selected to play if healthy & is still on track to graduate (on time) & commited to play D1 Basketball at Hofstra University...Maybe someone on this forum could spread the word to make this happen!!!

It’s up to his coach and school nominating him. They can nominate up to 4 kids and in order. Their number one gets in as every school gets one The rest are chosen by need by the blue gold coaching staff and yes having your coaches on staff helps. But the coaches obviously take all Allstate kids if they are nominated and vetted thru the other criteria. After that then yeah they look at position need

There has definitely been years when deserving kids were left out because of 1 ins in their position. It’s happens at QB allot

Yes it’s kind of an all star game but there are other criteria like character and community service. A parent isn’t going to release their special needs kid to just anyone they need to be vetted. It’s only SRs and only kids the school vetted and nominates. Every schools gets one and the coaches choose the rest from nominated and vetted kids

That process isn’t even fool proof there have been kids bucked from the game and replaced by others based on bad behavior after being chosen.

Like the year Julius Inge from A.I. got snubbed
That year had nothing to do w/ his play because he was a sure thing for the Blue-Gold game, I'm pretty sure that was the year where the AI had the big fight & season ended early which led to him being left out. I don't know the specifics but if he wasn't a part of that fight though then yeah I definitely don't agree w/ him being left out that year after the work he had put in on the court.

I think their was an ejection in there and he couldn't play in the next game.

In Basketball every school does not get a player. All the other sports that I can think of do get one automatic.

CR got Shaft Clark & Jaden Corbett in but no way should the Eaton kid had been left off, he is the only player downstate that comes to mind that was missing from the roster that should have made it.

The St. E's player got it this year off last years performance. Not saying he shouldn't be in, just sayin.

Agreed...I think he had only been back for about 4/5 games this year because of injury but still got the nod. Even if Cramer isn’t physically able to play it would be nice for him to get the whole Blue-Gold experience of events as well.
