Lets start with QB's.. who you think the 2 will be for each.. here are some possibles. This will be tougher than you think...The split is teams above the canal and below the canal plus red lion
Blue- Hoffman (CA), Marks (WB), Carney (Arch), Opderbeck(Friends) (*assuming Nelson won't play)
Gold- VonArx(DM), Pargoe (RLCA), *Watts (StA), *Kane (WB), Perdue (WB)
*Watts and Kane may find themselves in multiple roles..

So out of all that the coaches have to choose 72 (36 each) 1 from every team and no more than 4 from one team
I listed approx -65ish Sr's each side all of whom were on one of the all conference lists..

Middletown guys could be very interesting. I’m actually surprised we didn’t hear some complaining from Middletown guys for players not getting All State. I know one of there guys verbally committed to a D1 team but got no love anywhere. Game is also more than a game so character out weighs talent all day in this event.

**These are just SR names that "may" get selected.. Me putting any player on these lists means nothing. More than half the names up there will not get selected. Selections are up to the Blue/Gold coaches and being all-state nor all conference guarantees selection... just to be clear

You know they will get four in which four do you think? Understanding each school will nominate up to four to go and assuming the principal or headmaster signs off on their character and I believe since the mess at the game a few years ago the DFRC takes a more active role in vetting players character. Like you said not all the best players will get nominated by their school or accepted by the DFRC.

How do you leave the first team all state center out of that mix. Check out his film vs Mitchell and Harp.
I don't just guessing who Blum may take.. Numbers game only gets 4.. I also think there will be a lot of lineman from the weaker teams 1 ins this year,... I am actually just pointing out how tough the selections can be.. Especially after the 1 ins and then picking by positions of need.. and again we don't know if there are character issues or non interest from some of the players listed.. It's always tough when a good team has a lot of good SR's.. How does a coach decide who gets left out? very tough
It would be ridiculous for a kid to be voted the best at his position by the coaches and not be invited to play in that game. It would be a total insult.
I agree with you guys just the numbers make it difficult.. Each team gets 36 players. There are 44 teams everyone gets 1 player in.. That is 22 of the 36 per team right there. That leave 14 spots for the coaches to figure out the 22 one ins they have positions and the positions they need for the last 14.. tough deal for the coaches.

First team all-state should be a given if all else is straight including grades and character.
I wouldn’t use Mitchell as an example... In 2 games this year against Mtown center he had 12 tackles, 6 for loss, and 4 sacks...
I can tell you right now that that didn't happen. He lines up at DE a lot with certain packages. Middletown's center didn't give up 4 sacks all year let alone 4 to Mitchell. He had one against him in the championship game and one in the regular season. He gave up one other to Harp in the regular season game.That's it .
There is no doubt that Mitchell is a great player. There is no denying that. Seems like a great kid as well. I also apologize for using any kids names. Both players are great young men that had tremendous seasons.

Each high school with a Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association sanctioned football team that has qualified seniors will have at least one representative on a Blue-Gold squad each year, however no school may have more than four representatives in a single year.
