Saturday February 14th and Monday February 16th will be used as inclement weather day options. If any four games are moved to Saturday they will be played at 10:30-12:00-1:30-3:00. If two games they would be played at 12:00 and 1:30. Inclement weather locations could be played at the original high school or Central Middle based on availability. If one high school location is snowed out, that day will get moved to Friday the 13th at Central Middle if high school location is unavailable. Friday games would then move to Saturday at Central Middle. If snow is predicted for Sunday/Monday, Sunday

why didn't the mariner girls get the home game vs gauger , mariner has the better record and cape is a a host facility

That sounds logical and I agree but you have no idea of all the variables that come into play when making this schedule. Where then is Beacon to play its two games as they are Cape as well. Mariner will hopefully play at the HS next year. Athletic Directors want teams to travel together if possible and play back to back which they all are doing and that is understandable. PCA wanted Beacon if first round to make-up for a cancelled game if it was possible. Some teams have games that week to schedule around. Its not like HS or college and computer point generated. There is a little flexibility in an attempt to accommodate as many needs as possible within the framework of seedings. One doesn't always play four and two plays three especially in the B and C brackets. One may play two and three plays four to eliminate a separate bus to facilitate boys and girls can traveling together to cheer each other on. You have to win two no matter what to win the bracket. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Those Tuesday night games w/ Dover vs Fifer (CR) boys & girls down at Woodbridge High School couldn't have been on a worse night...CR plays at Dover Tuesday night in high school boys action which will likely draw most basketball fans in the Kent County area, then there is the fact that the games are 30 minutes away...ouch. CapitalGuy you had your hands full with this event this year w/ scheduling & I'm assuming that Dover/Central Middle wasn't an option for each day as in years past but man does it seem like it was much more convenient & beneficial to everyone including crowd turnout for the event.

Yes it is disappointing that the HS game is at the same time..I was just happy that the schedule worked out with all boys and girls teams traveling together...CMS was available on all days but the district is very difficult to work with....but the night is about Woodbridge and the first night that they will have a Capital Classic home game in their beautiful new high school!!! Dover still gets two days at home....not sure about next year..

Great point CapitalGuy, that would be nice for some of the other schools to get a home game for a change now that you mention it. Because of schools being canceled today does that move today's games to Friday & Friday's games to Saturday?

Great games yesterday J12 but like you said the drive discouraged most fans even though Dover/CR game was cancelled

I couldn't make it but was getting updates from a friend who was in attendance & heard that the Fifer-Dover/Central Middle game was classic...big win for Fifer & I witnessed them take Smyrna down to the wire a couple of weeks ago so if Smyrna can get by Prestige that would still make for a great championship game in the main bracket. I also think that Woodbridge would have made the main bracket interesting & will easily take home the championship of the Texas Roadhouse bracket. I'm hoping for more of the same type of exciting games so far once the games move to Dover.

Whoever didn't make it missed two great games yesterday between Fifer and Central. This is why when tournament time rolls around you can throw the records out. Both teams battled to the end and knocked off undefeated teams. Congrats to both Fifer boys and Central girls they earned it!
