Yup, that referendum not passing messed a bunch of peoples' plans up!

They did not eliminate football. Lower level (JV, freshman) sports are probably impacted. By Christiana had neither of those. I think their coaching staff was previously only 3 - which is less than most of the other schools.

I do wonder how the defeat of the referendum impacts the lights at Newark HS. I know the high cost of the rentals last year was mentioned during the referendum discussion.

Before some folks start with crazy speculations. Let me state the facts. Since the referendum didn’t pass they were unable to get me a position inside the school. Coaching football for me has always been more than winning games. There is no way i could impact those young man the way i planned on from outside the building. So i declined the position. I truly wish Christiana the best.
