Concord LB Roberts transfering from Nebraska

It would be good to get him back in Delaware. With the need for LBs at UD, they should reach out to him quick!! From the look of his new followers on his Twitter account, it looks like a bunch of D1 Power 5 coaches have already jumped on him and got a head start.

A lot of high school big time recruits think they will just fall into a four year starting position. It ain't that easy when you don't work at it. Witness the QB situation at UD.

Did Wade not put forth much effort?

Also, any word on the Smyrna kid that went there? Haven’t seen much about him in TNJ

Henderson is just outgained by 3 guys who have division 1 starting experience. Caruso, Kehoe, and Wade were not gonna be beat out by him. At least not this early. Next year and after might be his best shot at getting playing time as Caruso and Wade will be graduated.

UD.. QB situation

1. Pat Kehoe RSJR
1. JP Caruso RSSR (battling sore arm in camp)
3. Darius Wade RSSR

Battling out for 4 are (in no order)

Nolan Henderson RSFR
Sean Dunnigan SOPH
Mason Jones SOPH
Anthony Paoletti FRESH

Paoletti has been getting most of the work on scout so that kinda puts him 4 unless they redshirt him which I think they will as he is likely the QB of the future at this point but that can change..Paoletti comes in with good size 6'2 215 and Delaware County’s all-time leading passer with 7,048 yards and 73 touchdowns and first team all state in PA 2017. Many think he is a steal for UD

I think that Henderson is just caught in the numbers. Best bet for him IMO is to transfer. Salisbury State or Wesley maybe.

Or maybe a D3 school that has decent academics. No offense but my 13 year old could be the valedictorian at Wesley. And he’s a dog. Literally a laborator retriever. 13 in dog years, birthday coming up soon

Perhaps he could change positions. I know he has the speed and athleticism for defensive back

scootch or is it pooch? That last statement is about the dumbest thing I have read on here awhile..

Okay. You may be right. I’m less passionate about that point that the Wesley point. I’m glad we both agree Wesley has shit for education

Don’t put words in my mouth PFer. I don’t agree with you about anything. I don’t know enough about Wesley too even have an opinion . Well other than my son took a visit there and took a hard pass no

Exactly bucsnot. He’s not going to the NFL. His talents have him a scholly at UD. Whether he plays or not he is getting a quality degree and you never know injuries etc... he may find himself out there. At the end of the day he is part of the team, has his health and will go onto bigger and better things than just playing a game.

I’m hearing Roberts transferred to Oregon State. That’s where the coaches who recruited him to Nebraska are now.

NCAA kills me. When a player wants to transfer, they have to sit out a year. When coaches recruit kids and leave, they get to coach immediately at their next school.

Good thing, Roberts still had that redshirt year available. He still has 3 years to play at Oregon State.

On another note, I saw Bam Roberts's highlights from last week's JUCO game and he looked great!

Took a few undergrad classes at ODU (and Christopher Newport) years ago. Campus was nice enough, but Norfolk is Norfolk (“Sailors and Dogs keep off the grass”). UD would be more familiar and 3-4 hours closer to home. In that area William & Mary (FCS), and Christopher Newport (D3), are great academic choices with awesome campuses.

Best of luck to him.
