Milford could be fools gold.. Their 4 wins are vs Red Lion, St Andrews, Conrad and Seaford..

In a weak d-II i'd say they are where they should be. All 4 of those wins are by 30 or more, weak schedule or not they are handling business in a convincing fashion. Leaving no question they are not in those bottom feeder teams league. In the loss to DMA which we can all say is real now, the game didn't match the scoreboard, I can tell you that much. after 1-9 the last couple years, 4-1 is 4-1. Give them a little respect, they aren't barely beating those teams they are handling them.

FOG51 Just an observation mainly to elicit conversation.. I had them ranked right where they are here in my poll by virtue of the 4-1 record and scores of the games.. obvious the real tests are coming.. not everything posted is a knock on someone.. I said "could be" not "is" folks need to pay attention to the language.. just saying

Jeff, maybe i missed it somewhere, what is the number immediately behind each teams record & how is it tabulated? Is it a power index?

That's their total points from the 8 of us that do this...

1st = 10 points
2nd = 9 points

and so on...

Was there some consideration given to the Salesianum victory over Smyrna as being one of the top Div 1 wins so far this year?

There is little doubt the Milford schedule has been weak. They will be stepping up in class this week against an IR team that is battle tested against some real good teams. I believe this game is a measuring stick for them, whether Milford is a decent team or not. I think both teams are really looking forward to this one.

Definitely an interesting game...should be fun for the Milford boys to play in play-off implication games..

There has been a real change in culture. But there is lots of work yet to be done. They are going to take a few lumps and this might just be a big one.

Milford was lucky to be in the game tonight, IR should have ran away with it. The Buccaneers ran 8 plays in the first half and somehow trailed only 7-6. If not for David Bowman, IR blows out Milford. IR offense looked much faster and always ahead of Milford for most of the game. IR made some crucial mistakes that kept Milford in it, but came up big when it counted. With just over a minute left, IR was trailing and at the Milford 30 or so. IR dialed up the HB option and Milford got caught with their pants down. I kind of expected the play, as Milford had struggled all night to stop the IR running game and was now selling out.
Some of those big seniors Milford have did not step up tonight, in fact they committed numerous silly penalties and had many missed assignments. There was finger pointing and poor discipline in many areas. Milford needs to take a long look in the mirror if they want to be taken seriously.
