DuPont 6-2 0.750 245 132
Delmar 6-2 0.750 233 163
Caravel 6-2 0.750 274 166

Couple things looking at pure numbers.

Caravel and Delmar have givin up a ton of points. Defense wins during playoff time and I don't remember a team that went far in the playoffs that has given up that many points. But it could be related to their strength of schedule also.

Offenses are scoring a bunch. All of the top 10 teams are scoring in bunches.

After reading threads on the football forum I'm a stickler on numbers. When it comes to Division ll it seems Woodbridge has put less numbers on the defensive side of the ball. The Raiders had 40 points recorded on them this year.
However Howard has given up 77 points which s great on their behalf. I would like to see both team head to head at the BOB the first Saturday in December and let the chips fall on the Tubby Raymond Field.

According to CalPreps Delmar has had the toughest SOS in D2. And it’s not really close. Their SOS is 7.6. Next closest is Friends at 4.6 and Caravel at 4.5. Woodbridge is at 1.1 and Howard is at 0.2.

Nice work Whodey00, that's what was sayin. But at the end of the day, you must be able to stop teams form scoring in the playoffs. SOS will play a factor in the Playoffs. I think it should also be an extra bonus point for getting in the tournament. Ex. top 3 school get 2 points for highest SOS, nest 3 get one point for SOS.

The Delmar defense has gotten better every week. Yes they started slow, but since the 1st quarter (plus a few seconds into the 2nd) of the Easton game where Delmar gave up 21 points, the starting defense has only given up one touchdown or less a game.

Note that in the game against Friends where Friends scored 19 points, the punt team gave up 7 points on a botched snap that resulted in around a 50 yard loss, the offense fumbled on their own side of the field, Friends got one short first down and then kicked a field goal and then the offense gave up a safety. The starting defense really only gave up one touchdown.

As long as the Delmar defense continues to improve they should be OK going into the playoffs.

Damn what’s Tower Hill?
See the post below.

Tower Hill has a -14.2 schedule strength.. That my Friends is dead last in Delaware

http://calpreps.com/2019/ratings/Delaware_all.htm

Per SOS

#42 Dickinson -13.4
#43 FSMA -13.5
#44. Tower Hill -14.2

That is downright shameful

by the way where are the couple of TH apologist that were posting here a few weeks ago saying TH was going to show us?

Oh that's right they disappeared right after Red Lion almost beat them.. lol
