D2 playoff predictions week 9

With the Hen south being so arguable I am going on the assumption that Delmar loses out but will address what ifs later on their playoff potential.
1. DMA- 45 points with win over Newark and Conrad.
2. Milford- 42 with win over Delmar and Lake. 38 with loss to DM.
3. Friends- 4.11111 with win over Morrisville (pa) and TH.
4.+ 5. AI- 41 points with win over Brandywine and Dickinson.
WB- 41 points with win over IR and DM. TIE BREAK IS OPPONENT'S WINS. 37 if loss to DM.
6. + 7. TH- 38 with win over Dickinson and loss to Friends.
Howard- 38 with win over Christiana and Glasgow. TIE BREAK IS OPPONENT'S WINS.
8. CA- 36 with win over Glasgow and Capitol Christian (md)
Archmere- 36 with win over Charter and First State. Lost to CA.
Conrad- 36 with win over Delcastle and loss to DMA. Lost to Archmere.
JUST OUT.
St Marks- 34 with win over St E's and loss to Sallies.
DM- 31 with loss to Milford and WB. 35 with win over Milford and loss to WB = 3 way tie for Hen south. If they don't win the tie they won't get in. 34 if loss to milford and win over WB. 38 with win over both.

What is your rational that Delmar will lose Milford??? Milford was beating 7-0 at the half and Delmar was beating laurel 35-0 at the half. Milford lost to poly, and Delmar ran scrimmage.
 
match-ups.... daisy chains don't really mean much to me.. every game is different. Explain to me how two teams can play each other twice in the same season and you never get the exact same result?
 
Exactly Ravens. WB beat Friends last year 35-7 in the regular season, but only 14-9 in the state championship. Every day is different and teams change from Game 1 to Game 10.

I just had to make a prediction for the sake of the seedings. I went with that one. If you noticed, I also included the points provided Delmar defeats Milford.

The difference is defense. Milford has allowed 0 offensive points in the Henlopen South this year, which includes 0 to Woodbridge who just put up 42 against St. Marks. They have only allowed 25 offensive points all season. Now they could show up this week and play flat like they did against Polytech, but my money this week is on Milford's defense.

If Glasgow wins out, the most they can get is 35 putting them below archmere and conrad. BUT, it will result in a 3 way tie between AI, Howard, and Glasgow, so it will go to a tiebreaker to win the conference. Glasgow would have to win the tiebreaker to get in. A loss to glasgow would also leave Howard with 35, also requiring them to win the conference through tiebreaker to get in. Obviously caravel wouldn't get in with a loss to glasgow.

Continuing this scenario, If AI were to lose to brandywine it would leave them with 37 points. They would still get in in most scenarios.

In Henlopen Conference its the point differential between the three teams tied in their games vs each other.

I don't know what the Blue Hens rules are... anyone?

Independent nor Diamond State conferences get autobids so it doesn't matter

There is no way Glasgow is beating Caravel and/or Howard.

The Caravel game doesn't really matter for the 3 way tie to happen they just have to beat Howard but for the sake of discussion lets assume Its the same tiebreaker as Henlopen

AI- 6 Glasgow-0 AI+6 diff
How- 36 AI- 20 How +16 diff

How +16 AI -10 Glas- 6

*Glasgow will have to beat Howard by 23 to get the tiebreak.

* That is if the Blue Hen conf uses the same tiebreak as Henlopen

If Milford/Delmar gets picked as game of the week over Smryna/Sallies that would be impressive. D2 getting some love! I understand the D1 game isn't what it was last year, but that is still 2 top 5 teams in D1
 
What's the excuse going to be if Milford beats Delmar? just curious and how does one dress for injury?

and to think you were a homer. QB got hurt late in the 3rd quarter and pretty sure St. Mary's was leading at that point.
 
St. Mary's was up by 1, Delmar was driving. And there will be no excuses needed, Delmar wins 35-21
 
Would be better look at after the Delmar v Milford Game but here is the tie break look

Right now Milford +14 WBridge -14 Delmar 0

Lets say Delmar wins this week 14-7

that would make it Milf +7 DM +7 WB -14

WB would have to beat DM by 21+ to get the tiebreaker themselves and only have to beat Delmar by 1pt and Milf gets it
