Some oberservations... Who is the homer who gave Sallies a number one vote? lol 2# 1 votes for for St G ? based on what? Milford and St Marks leap frog to to 3 and 4? interesting Glasgow still getting no respect..

Not one single vote for Delmar?

Luckily the Glasgow has HVT this week. A victory there should rocket them right up the board. Since I have a rare Friday night off, I may just travel north of the canal for this event.

You would drive by the eagle - Slowsky game to see the silver eagle - dragon game? Interesting.
A very reliable source tells me that there is very little chance that Sallies will prevail. They are simply too slow to compete against the soaring Eagles, therefore I am a bit hesitant to cough up the five shekels. Although I hear there are quite a few, nice local establishments at which to enjoy a fine tankard of ale. Decisions, decisions.

i would love to hear the rationale for Sallies to be #1. They beat CR 24-0 while Mtown beat CR 48-0. I guess you could argue that Sallies played a tougher team in Judge than Mtown did with WP. Whlle Smyrna hasn't been challenged. But i still say...cmon man.

D2 is so unclear. Friends got a #1 vote? I guess we will find out a lot about Friends this weekend against Wood. Glasgow will have a chance to prove itself a little playing Hodgson this weekend. But other than those two games i don't think D2 will get much clearer. Milford is off while St Marks and St Georges play weaker opponents.

I guess one rational could be that the CR game is a classic let down scenario after the big win against Judge. Or someone is letting Blue T vote.

The CR game was closer than the final score indicated,,, Judge is going to get blown out the next two weeks,, MT, Smyrna, Concord nor Tech would have any problem with Judge

I have to think that Smyrna and Middletown would beat Judge without an extraordinary effort. Sussex Tech and Concord? Unsure. The basis for me is how the Big plays against the 4 schools you named.

I swear raven - sometimes you channel your inner Bummy.

"The CR game was closer than the final score indicated,,,"

Are you kidding me? I listened to that game on ""the Voice of Delaware H.S. Football" (where you could only hear every 3rd or 4th word) and I don't believe CR crossed midfield in the whole game. If you think some of these local teams could do well against OOS competition then they should get their butts out of the guaranteed 6-7 win competition in the BHC and the HC and schedule some games..

no doubt CR's offense is not good.. but I don't think Sals is all that much better.Sals D seems to be fine though

Pretty sure they can't get out of those conference games without leaving the conference which would be problematic for most of their other sports teams

CR moved the ball a few times. Not as much as sallies, but what you have to look at is that is one turnover by sallies, and CR would have been in the game. If not for a penalty and turnover sallies wouldn't have won by as many as they did.

So I leave my comment with Sallies are 24 points better than CR.....that's not a compliment given how bad CR is. Idk about everyone else who submitted their polls, but I dropped them. I put concord ahead of them, and I debated Tech for a moment but I still don't think Tech can step up with the next tier just yet. I might get proven wrong come their game with Smyrna. But RR threw himself out on the ledge putting MT up first. So I'll do the same. I bumped them ahead of Smyrna too. They let Appo score 16, and at one point I think they pulled within 10 points to tie the game. That's a problem if you're gonna repeat.

Smyrna may have more weapons, but only one person gets the ball, and Middletowns defense is too good. Which gave them the nod for me.

So Smyrna gets a demerit in a 64-16 victory because a team scored . The score was actually tied at one point in the game... opening kickoff. How bad of Smyrna! With some keys passes dropped, running clock and the 2s getting playing time, it was not a bad second game of the season. With a timing offense like Smyrna has, they will get better each week. I think MT will have a better chance of beating Smyrna if you leave the porch dog alone. Poking it with a stick each week might not be wise. But hey, to each his own. Btw, I'm more concerned with kids staying healthy than winning. Just to have Smyrna discussed on a FOOTBALL forum still takes some getting used to. Growing the program is the key. A repeat would be gravy, or icing, or caramel sauce with whipped cream and sprinkles!

Yes! Smyrna gets a dermerit because the defense is weak. You're exactly right, couldn't said it better myself. Lol

Ok I have had enough of the Smyrna's defense is weak BLAH BLAH BLAH. You allow in the season that you win a State Championship an average of 17.5 points per game. Taking out the first Sallies encounter they allowed on average 12.4 points per game. Let alone the running clocks for most of their season's games and the 2s getting the opportunity to get valuable playing time at the varsity level. And to top it all off in post season the defense kept them in the game against a very formidable William Penn. The cherry on top was the defense that severely stunted the Gatorade POY's ability to get the big run and pack on the yards. The final play of the championship was a defensive stop for a loss when everyone knew Sallies had it in the bag all they had to do is give it to the GPOY and kick a field goal. 2015 was good as theirs. BUT IT WAS THE DEFENSE that you people say that sucks that won the game. Denver is so right IT IS DEFENSE THAT WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Oh and that new football workout gym that Smyrna was recently outfitted with --complements of a regional championship. Defense and offense working in tune like well oiled machine.

Yes Smyrna has an amazing offense lead by an absolutely wonderful young man. But they also have an amazing defense that affords the offense the ability to do great things.

The votes are all over the map... But... The final ranks are pretty damn solid after it all shakes out...
