  • Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity took the lead late and defeated Delmarva Christian 5-4 on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsitybatting in the top of the sixth when an error scored one run for Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity.
  • Delmarva Christian captured the lead in the second inning. M Waide singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
  • Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity evened things up at two in the top of the fifth inning when Beverly Delaney Vanbuskirk singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
  • Amiah Tucker was credited with the victory for Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity. She went seven innings, allowing four runs on nine hits, striking out two and walking one.
  • C Thompson took the loss for Delmarva Christian. She surrendered five runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out six.
  • Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity had six hits in the game. Vanbuskirk and Tucker all had multiple hits for Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity. Tucker and Vanbuskirkeach managed two hits to lead Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity.
  • Delmarva Christian saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. K Schlabach and G Fettermaneach had multiple hits for Delmarva Christian.
Alyssa Collins led off the game with a home run sparking a 6 run first inning as they defeated the Lady Vikings of Cape Henlopen by a 10-0 score.

Taylor Wroten piched a one hit shutout

  • Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-1 loss to Indian River on Friday. Indian River scored on a error in the first inning, a single by S Mayfield in the first inning, a single by K Townsend in the second inning, a single by B Whitman in the second inning, and a groundout by G Snyder in the second inning.
  • The Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Indian River, giving up ten runs.
  • Indian River scored four runs in the second inning. Indian River batters contributing to the big inning included Townsend, Whitman, and Snyder, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
  • A O’shields got the win for Indian River. She lasted six innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out ten. #14 threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
  • Amiah Tucker took the loss for Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity. She surrendered ten runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out five.
  • Taylor Scott led Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity with two hits in four at bats.
  • Indian River totaled nine hits. Whitman, J Bomhardt, and Townsend all had multiple hits for Indian River. Indian River didn't commit a single error in the field. Snyder had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.

Milford was down 10-9 in the bottom of the seventh when Darby Brennan started off the inning with a home run to tie the score for the Lady Bucs. Morgan Petty doubled and later scored the winning run on Kalaysia Reynolds base hit as they defeated the Lady Riders of Caesar Rodney by a 11-10 score. Courtney Malin was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and Carissa Thorne was 2 for 4 for CR.

Savannah Reed pitched a 2 hitter for the 8-1 win. Reagan Jackson hit a double and Kaeli O'Neill-Willey had 2 RBI's.
Laurel: Rachel Calloway and Kaegan Brittingham had hits for Laurel and Brittingham scored their only run.

Katie Stahre pitched a 9-0 shutout for Lake with 7 strikeouts. Brittany Baker went 2-3 with two doubles and 3 RBIs. Contessa Rivera was 1-3 for Dover.

D.Whaley for Poly went 1 for 3 bringing in both runs for the Panthers. K.Burawksi went the full 4 innings for Poly striking out 3 Indians.

J.Bomhardt went 3 for 4 scoring 3 runs and bringing in 4 RBI's.to pace the Lady Indians of Indian River to a 15-2 win over the Lady Panthers of Polytech D.Williams went 1 for 4 scoring a run and bringing in 3 RBI's. S.Mayfield also brought in 2 runs while going 2 for 2 . Freshman J.Rybicki also had 2 RBI's. B.Whitman got a total of 3 bases hitting a triple.

O'shields and Alley combined for 5 innings giving up 3 hits and striking out three.


Delmar's big inning was driven by a single by Madison Lemon, a home run by Autumn Boothe, and a groundout by Jordan Moore.
Lady Eagles got things started in the first inning when Kaelyn Press tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Jessica Anderson earned the 10-5 victory on the pitcher's mound for Lady Eagles. Payton Dixon threw four and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen, allowing no runs.

Lady Eagles collected nine hits. Lexi Moore and Kayla Wilson each racked up had two hits for Smyrna. Kaelyn Press had 3 RBIs, while Julia Thuer added 2 RBIs.
Lemon led Delmar with two hits in four at bats.

Jakayla Sample hit a grand slam home run in the bottom of the third and Colleen Cosbey followed with home run to spark the Ravens to 6 to 4 victory over the Golden Knights. Natalie Oldam had two RBI’s for Sussex Central

The combined efforts of Delani Sheehan and Olivia Farris resulted in the DMA 8-0 shut-out. Samantha Freeland was 2 for 2 and reached base 4 times for DMA.

Graceyn Frost had 12 strike-outs for Conrad.

Peyton Vivian led Newark Charter going 2-3 with two doubles while Ashlee Trala was also 2-3 to pace the Lady Patriots of Newark Charter 5-2 win over the Lady Cavaliers of Middletown. Kacie Noonan added two hits and a RBI while Bella Hagen added two RBI of her own for the Patriots. Caitlin Pontak tossed 8 strikeouts in the win. Jenna McDermott was 3-4 for Middletown while Cera-Proulx has two RBI for the Cavaliers.

Conrad pitcher Emily Yeatman allowed zero hits, zero runs, and had 3 strikeouts in 3 innings. Abigail Cushing and Skyler Poore went 3-4 and Caitlyn Dill had three hits for Conrad as they defeated the Lady Cougars of Delcastle by a 29-2 score. Delcastle pitchers Sam Rios and Catherine Nelson had a combined 5 strikeouts, and Nadia Kulikowski hit in Delcastle's two runs.

Indira Purnell was 3 for 3 with two home runs. Aubree Foster and Beth Waguespack each had three hits to pace the Lady Colonials of William Penn by an 18-2 score over the Lady Dragons of Glasgow.
Jazzmin Haman was 2 for 3 with a double for Glasgow.

Amaia Killian had 3 hits for Hodgson, and Celine Wilson allowed 2 hits, while striking out 7 to earn her first win of the season and defeated the Lady Vikings of Christiana by a 19-2 score. Brooke Ahlstrom and Tyashia Smallwood had hits for Christiana.

Claudia Roncone, Marissa Kegelman, Miranda Wohner and Sydney Hazelton all had two hits for the Vikings of St. Elizabath as they defeated the AI Tigers by a 9-8 score. Freshman Hazelton drive in the game winning RBI’s in the bottom of the 7th to win it for St. Es. Sophomore McKenzie Sweeney had two RBIs as well

Grace Frati drove in the winning run in the first, Maddie Saunders had 4 RBI’s, Paige Thomas had a 3-run homer in the 3rd to deep center, Cassie Rath had a no hitter through 4 before Emma Saxton took over as the St. Marks Spartans defeated Design Lab 13-0.

Mel Grant earned her first varsity win.as they defeated the Lady Raiders of Concord 3-2 Alex Musial had an RBI triple in the first and scored for the Pandas. Concord got runs in the 2nd scored by Skye Lupi and in the 6th by Mary Plasmier. Sarah Williams had triple and scored on a past ball for the Padua. Katie Twardowski also had two hits and an RBI for the Pandas.

Camryn Thompson and Erin Parker combined on a 1 hit shutout. Thompson struck out 6 batters in 3 innings of work, while Parker finished with 4 strikeouts in 2 innings to pace the Lady Royals of Delmarva Christian to a 16-0 win over St. Peters and Paul of MD. Gracie Fetterman had 2 hits, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Kandice Schlabach had 3 hits, 1 RBI and 3 runs scored. Ashlyn Stonebraker had 2 hits, 5 RBI and 2 runs scored. Jordyn DiFava had 2 hits and 2 runs scored. Erin Parker had a hit, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.

E. Conlon had the lone hit for Sts. Peter & Paul

The Rams and the Yellowjackets opened the 2018 Season at Dickinson HS under cold and raining weather. The game was 5-3 after two innings before Newark opened up the game in the 3rd and 4th inning.

Offensively for the Yellowjackets leadoff batter Charlotte Rose went 3 for 3 with five runs scored and drove in 4 RBI's. She also got the complete game win. Centerfielder Megan Hunter went 4 for 5 on the day with 6 RBI's and two runs scored. The big hit of the day came from Shannon Eberle first Varsity game of her career by lining a triple in the gap in the 4th inning. She also collected another hit and drove in 4 RBI's and scored three times. Emily Barks and Aubrey Smith each had two hits. Ten Newark players played their first Varsity game of their career today and 17 girls all contributed to the 27-5 win today.

Dickinson was lead by Allison Hendrickson who went 2 for 2 and had a double and two runs scored. She also drove in one Rams runner. Autumn Joseph, Katelyn Mullins, and Grace Darden each scored for the Rams Offense.

Both team turned in some good defensive fielding. The Rams shortstop Br'nyea Spratly and catcher Katelyn Mullins turned in some fine plays from each of their positions. Br'nyea twice stopping two balls heading up the middle to centerfield and Katelyn making two put outs behind the plate. Newark's Eden Rose made two consecutive throws to Katie Thompson at home on back to back plays with the bases loaded to end the Rams threat in the bottom of the 2nd.

The Rams and Yellowjackets will meet for the rematch later in the season at Newark HS.

Newark Charter had 4 players register multi-hit game as they defeated the Lady Lions of Red Lion by a 14-3 score. Bella Hagen was 3-3 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Caitlin Pontak, Abby McCann and Ashlee Trala were all 2-3 with 2 RBI. Cam Quirk scored 3 runs for the Patriots. Morgan Mendick hit a 2-run home run for Red Lion.

Paige Thomas had the game winning double in the 2nd. For St. Mark’s Maddie Saunders went 3/3 with a walk and 6 stolen bases. Paige Thomas had 3 RBIs as they defeted the Lady Cougars of Delcastle 13-2. For Delcastle Rios and Moorehead had an RBI a piece.

  • Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-1 loss to Milford on Wednesday. Milford scored on a triple by Morgan Petty, a triple by Courtney Kohel, and a single by Macey Myersin the first inning.
  • The Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Milford, giving up 12 runs.
  • Milford got on the board in the first inning. Petty tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
  • Milford scored five runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Milford was led by Petty, Kohel, Myers, Kalaysia Reynolds, and Morgan Abbott, all driving in runs in the inning.
  • Abbott was the winning pitcher for Milford. She went five innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out four.
  • Erin Carey took the loss for Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity. She went two and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 runs on nine hits and striking out one.
  • Carey, Amiah Tucker, Taylor Scott, and Eve Moore each managed one hit to lead Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity.
  • Milford tallied 11 hits on the day. Reynolds, Kohel, Myers, and Petty all managed multiple hits for Milford. Reynolds went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Milford in hits.
The Laurel Bulldogs jumped out to an early 10-2 lead over Caesar Rodney. Bulldogs scored on a single by Shy Covington, Elya Niblett and Morgan Brumbley in the first inning,and a double by Nicole Patille. Patille also adding in a homerun in the second inning. Patille led things off for the Bulldogs in the circle allowing nine hits and two runs while striking out seven.

K Peugh got the start for CR allowing 17 hits and ten runs. C. Malin and C. Thorne all had multiple hits for the Riders.

Sydney Tyndall, Natalie Smith, and Hannah Davis each collected three hits to lead the Wildcats of Delmar to a 7-5 win over the Panthers of Polytech. Jordan Moore added two hits and two RBIs.

B. Stephenson led Polytech going 3-4 with 2 RBIs at the plate.

Olyvia Smith had 3 RBIs in the 2nd inning. Lexi Moore and Madison Drummond each had 3 hits at the plate, while Abigail Mace had a home run in the 4th. Jessica Anderson and Payton Dixon pitched a combined 5-0 shutout win over Sussex Tech.

Alyssa Collins was 2 for 3 at the plate for the Lady Ravens.

Kourtney McNatt earned her first varsity victory allowing 3 hits and striking out 7. The Jaguars were led offensivily by freshman Madison Bauerle and Madeline Olivas. Baurele went 2 fo 2 including a grand slam with 3 runs scored. While Olivas added 4 RBI's of her own on 2 hits. Alicia Bruce and Tayler Vitola also added 2 hits for APPO as they defeated the Lady Pandas of Padua 17-2. Vitola was able to steal 3 bases on the day. Zoey Jones hit a solo home run for Padua.
 
3-29-18 Softball Results

Carina Nepi went 4 for 4 with 2 runs scored for Hodgson as they defeated the Lady Cougars of Delcastle by a 12-3 score. Hannah Sargent had a double for Delcastle.

Antonia Browning scattered 4 hits and struck out 7 batters to pick up her second win of the season.and Charter with a 4-2 win over Conrad. Ashely Steiner was 3 for 3 with an RBI to lead the Force in their first Diamond State Conference game. Sophia Zwack was 2 for 3 and Graceyn Frost struck out 8 for Conrad.



Madison Drummond led Lady Eagles to a 10-0 victory over Polytech by driving in six runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate. Drummond drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the second, and a single in the fourth.
Lady Eagles got things moving in the first inning, when Drummond doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs.

Jessica Anderson was the winning pitcher for Lady Eagles. She allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Dixon threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Madison Drummon and Lexi Moore each had 3 hits for the Eagles, while Kaelyn Press and Sara Miller added two hits a piece.

Kelsie Burawski was 1 for 2 for the Panthers.

Kourtney McNatt earned her second win of the young season for Appoquinimink as they defeated the Lady Yellowjackets of Newark 23-0. McNatt and Autumn Gentry combined on the one hit shutout. McNatt struckout 4 in two innings of work while Gentry struck out 7 Yellowjackets over 3 innings. The Jaguars were lead offensively by Brooke Miller who belted 4 hits including 2 homeruns totaling 5 RBI's on the day. Along with Miller, Mallory Wier, Talyer Vitola, and Alicia Bruce each had 4 hits for APPO. Both Weir and Vitola drove home 4 runs respectivly. Freshman Madison Bauele went 3 for 3 at the plate with 2 doubles to help the Jaguars earn the win. Charlotte Rose ripped a double for Newark's only hit on the day.

Brooklynne Johnson and Amaia Killian had 3 hits apiece for Hodgson as they defeated St. Elizabeth 16-5. McKenzie Sweeney had 2 hits for St. Elizabeths.

Rachel McCleary and Alexxys Harris both had 2 hits for CR.
Sarah Raab had 3 hits and 2 RBI's for Concord as they defeated Caesar Rodney 8-3. Skye Lupi and Shannon Edelman each had 2 hits and 2 RBI's and Delaney Mulligan added 2 hits and scored a run for Concord.

Paige Lynch drove in two runs in the top of the 7th with a triple and scored the tying run on Shelbi Taylor's sac fly. Then the Wildcats scored 2 runs in the top of the 8th on RBI singles by Natalie Smith and Hannah Davis to earn the 7-5 win. Taylor, Smith, Davis, and Lynch all had two hits for Delmar. Tracy Pleasanton was the winning pitcher. Mardela's Rylie Niblett and Grace White had three hits each in the game.

4-5-18 Softball

Madeline Beres and Nicole Marcon both went 2 for 4 with a Homerun, triple and 3 RBI's. Savanaah Sheats pitched a 13-0 shut-out for Caravel Academy.
Liv Marinucchi went 1 for 2 with a double for Red Lion.

Newak Charter was led by Bella Hagen who was 3-3 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Kacie Noonan went 2-2 with an RBI and 4 runs scored as the Lady Patriots defeated the Lady Silver Eagles of Hodgson 11-1. Caitlin Pontak was 2-3 with 3 RBI for the Patriots while Alyssa Noonan was also 2-3 with 2 RBI and the game-winning hit in the bottom of the fifth. Carina Nepi had an RBI double for Hodgson.

DMA was led by Brooke Conaty and Ali Novotny both with 2 hits and Delani Sheehan pitched a 2 hitter as they defeated the Lady Bucs of Milford 7-1. Milford's Morgan Abbott hit a solo homerun.
 
4-6-18 Softball

Corrin Farris had three hits including 2 doubles and Taylor Wroten pitched a 2 hitter striking out 7 to lead the Ravens to a 6-2 win over Archbishop Spaulding of Severna Park, MD

Antonia Browning went the distance allowing only 3 hits and striking out 7. In the bottom of the 7th inning, Jules Kolek walked, Casey Meyer sacrificed her to second and Marlayna Capaldi drew a 2 out walk, Ashley Steiner knocked in both runs to secure the 2-1 win for CSW. Steiner was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. Julia Bomhardt was 2 for 4 and scored a run for Indian River.

Morgan Petty hit 2 Home runs for Milford with 4 RBI’s. Julia Reed had a triple and 2 RBI’s and Morgan Abbott added a triple and an RBI. Milford scored consistently but the Vikings continued to battle back and come out on top over the defending state champs. Haley Rauch has 2 hits and a triple, scoring 3 runs, while Kaeli O’Neill-Wiley had a double and 2 RBI’s. The Vikings batted around in the 5th inning scoring 8 runs to take the 11-10 lead.

Katie Dunlap picked up the 10-5 win on the mound for Dover with Mikayla Frantz turning in 3 strong innings of relief.Chelsea Johnson,Kaila Quick, CJ Wooleyhand and Tess Rivera had two hits each for Dover.Nicole Patelle had two doubles for Laurel.

Kaisey Reed pitched The lady knights to the 11-7 win and helped her own cause with 3 hits and 3 RBI's. Sydney Tyndall had three hits(2 homeruns) to power the Delmar offense.

Clare Henry, Samantha Freeland, Julia Farris, Angelina Dell'Oso, and Lexy Johnson each managed multiple hits for DMA as they defeated the Lady Auks of Archmere 4-0. Olivia Farris pitched a 1 hit shutout and struck out 10.

Kayla Murray had the lone hit for Archmere.

    • Woodbridge Lady Raiders Varsity notched 11 runs in the second inning. Beverly Delaney Vanbuskirk, Morgan Chambers, Eve Moore, Carey, Taylor Scott, and Mackenzie Masten all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
    • One bright spot for Design-Lab was a single by V Santden in the fourth inning.

Maddie Wallace and Alex Conrad each drove in 2 runs as well. For Delcastle, Allison Moorehead had the only hit and made a great defensive play in the 5th.

Kacie Noonan exploded for 6 RBI as she went 3-4 with 3 runs scored for Newark Charter as they defeated William Penn Charter 15-1. Bella Hagen and Alyssa Noonan each had 2 RBI while Cam Quirk and Sami Sobocinski each scored 3 runs for the Patriots. N. Koslosky had an RBI double for William Penn Charter.

DMA and Lake battled for 12 innings that ended with Ashley Conaty winning the game for DMA with a walk-off single as they defeated the Lady Spartans of Lake Forest 4-3. Kaitlyn Stahre had 16 strikeouts for Lake Forest.

McKenzie Sweeney was 2-3 with 3 RBIs, Grace Rizzo was 2-3 with two RBIs and Sydney Hazelton had 3 hits for St. Elizabeth's as they defeated the Lady Bulldogs of Brandywine by a 10-0 score. Miranda Wohner and Skylar Gallucio combined on a one hit shutout.


DMA had multiple hits by Clare Henry, Olivia Farris, Lexy Johnson and Nicole Elliot as they defeated the Lady Golden Knights of Sussex Central by a 12-1 score. Olivia Farris pitched a 2 hitter. Morgan Burton had a home run for Sussex Central.


Kayla Murray and Lauren Simpson combined to throw a 1-hitter leading the Auks to their second straight win a 12-1 victory over First State Military Academy. Ciara Trigg went 2 for 2 with a walk and 3 RBI's. Jocelyn Phillips scored 3 times and Meg Bohannon, Mackenzie Popp, and Annie Penrod each scored twice. Bridget Knitowski drove in 2 runs with her first career hit. Carmen Black hit a triple for First State.

Conrad pitcher Graceyn Frost had 12 strikeouts and allowed only three hits. Maddi Tiberi was 2 for 3 for the Red Wolves with a double and two runs scored as they defeated the Lady Auks of Archmere 5-0. Annie Penrod, Madyson McDougal, and Maddie Wallace each had a hit for the Auks.


Concord scored 4 runs in the 5th to take a 4 to 2 lead over Appoquinimink. In the bottom of the inning Mallory Weir tripled and scored on an error to close the gap to 1. Concord extended their lead in the 7th when Skye Lupi doubled to advance Sarah Raab to thrid. Raab later scored on a fielders choice to give the Radiers a 5 to 3 lead. In the bottom of the 7th Maddy Olivas drew a 1 out walk and scored when Andrea Johnson ripped to a double to right center. Mallory Weir followed with a double of her own to bring home Johnson to tie the game. Brooke Miller ended the game with a walk off double bring home courtesy runner Jill Dawson to win the game for the Jaguars 6-5. Syke Lupi and Kristin Carter each had 2 hits for Concord. Autumn Gentry earn the win for APPO pitching the final 3 innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits. On the day APPO was lead by Mallory Weir who doubled and tripled with 2 RBI's and seniros Andrea Johnson and Brooke Miller who both went 3 for 4 at the plate with RBI doubles.


MOT Charter was boosted by Rebecca Maiorano who went 4-for-4 at the plate and had 5 RBIs and won 17-0. Kacey Firlein pitched all 5 innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out ten.


Toni Testa, Indira Purnell, Ashley Gallagher,and Beth waguspack all went 2-3 for the win 11-1 over Hodgson. Leanna Bib was 2 for 2. Emily Elder had 4 RBIs. Carina Nepi, Alyssa White, and Devin Bux had hits for Hodgson.


Padua had multiple hits from Catie Baxter, Alex Musial, Hailey Brooks, and Gabby Frabizzio. Paige Thomas led St. Marks with two hits and two runs scored to pace the Lady Pandas to a 13-8 win over St. Marks. Alex Musial had 4 RBI's and Catie Baxter scored 4 runs for the Pandas.


Lexi Moore and Kayla Wilson went 2 for 4, while Kaelyn Press was 3 for 4 to pace the Lady Eagles of Smyrna to an 8-0 win over the Lady Vikings of Cape Henlopen. Laiken Zay and Abby Mace each hads hits for Smyrna. Mackenie Irelan had a hit for Cape.


Katie Burawski picked up the 6-3 win on the mound for Poly.She recorded 7 K's and scattered 10 hits. Brianna Stevenson had two hits and 3 rbi's, the big blow was a bases loaded base clearing double. Katie Dunlap had 4 hits and Ashlynn Davis had 3 for Dover.


Colleen Cosbey and Sierra Livingston homered for S.T as they defeated Woodbridge 11-1. Jaykayla Sample had three hits, Alyssa Collins had two hits and scored three runs, Kylie Kruger had two hits and scored two runs. Taylor Wroten struck out 7.Morgan Chambers had a rbi triple for Woodbridge.


Morgan Abbott hit a grand slam and Morgan Petty hit a solo shot to power the Lady Bucs past Lake Forest 11-4. Brooke Glanden and Brittany Baker were both 3 for 4 for Lake.


Lauren Scott, Carissa Thorne, Courtney Malin, and Peyton Forse each had one hit for CR. Izebella Grebe, Kaisey Reed, and Saige Bullock each collected multiple hits to for Sussex Central as they defeated the Lady Riders of Caesar Rodney 5-0. Izebella Grebe had an in the park home run for Sussex Central.

Claudia Roncone led St. Elizabeth's with 3 hits including two triples and drove in two runs as they defeated Newark 14-3. McKenzie Sweeney had two hits and Sydney Hazelton and Skylar Gallucio added two RBIs each for St. Es. Marissa Kegelman scored 3 runs and stole 3 bases for the Vikings.


Conrad pitcher Graceyn Frost led the defense with 15 strikeouts. as they defeated the Lady Colonials of William Penn by a 6-0 score. Frost, Zwack, and Chavous each went 1-2 for the Red Wolves. Skyler Poore and Analise Chavous each had two runs scored in today's win. Emily Elder and Janyea McDonald-Robinett were each 2-3 for William Penn.

Cree Williams was 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored. Aubree Foster was 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored. Aubree Foster and Indira Purnell combined for 9 strike outs to pace William Penn to a 15-4 win over the Lady Tigers of AI DuPont. Jamie Hawrylak was 2 for 3 with two runs scored for AI.

Jessica Anderson picked up the win on the mound for Smyrna as they defeated the Lady Senators of Dover 10-4. Kayla Wilson had 3 hits and Sara Miller added 2 hits including a 3 run Homerun for Smyrna. Katelyn Crowe had two hits for Dover.

Taylor Gillis was 3 for 3 and scored 3 runs for CSW as they defeated MOT Charter 16-1. Julia Frank was 3 for 4 knocking in 2 runs. Haley Lattomous earned her first win of the year striking out 12 in 5 innings. Sydney Sapp was 2 for 2 and HaleyWalington had 2 hits for MOT Charter.

DMA was lead by Delani Sheehan, Nicole Elliott, Ali Novotny, & Angelina Dell’Oso who each had multiple hits as they defeated Newark Charter 8-3. Newark Charter was lead by Bella Hagen and Kacie Noonan who each had multiple hits.

Paige Thomas went 3-4 and Cassie Rath went 3-3 and pitched 3 shutout innings for St. Mark’s as they defeated Christiana 23-4

Appoquiniminks Kourtney McNatt out dueled Mount's Teagan Bradley to earn the 1 to 0 win for the Jaguars on Thursday afternoon. Bradley keep the Jaguar hitters off balance allowing only 1 run. That 1 run was the difference. As McNatt went the distance overcoming 5 Jaguars errors. On the day she scatterd 3 hits while striking out 12 to pick up the win. Brooke Miller doubled in the 4th driving in the only run of the game. Madison Baurele, Autumn Gentry and Mallory Weir all had mulit hit games for the Jaguars. Nicole Tomassi, Isabella Conte and Kylee Balbach had the hits for the Green Knights.

Concord's Kristin Carter pitched 5 strong innings to earn the 11-6 win combined with Sarah Raab pitching the final two innings for the save. Concord's Shannon Edelman went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's and Mary Plasmier had 3 hits and an RBI. Milford's Morgan Petty, Courtney Kohel, Macey Myers, and Kalaysia Reynolds each collected two hits a piece.

Claudia Roncone hit a homerun for the Vikings that drove in 3 runs for St. E's as they defeated Delcastle 22-11. The Vikings had no errors in the field. Amber Johnson had 3 RBIs, and Catherine Nelson struck out 7 for the Cougars.

Hodgson's Amaia Killian went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and 9 RBI's-including a grand-slam in the top of the 1st inning to pace the Lady Silver Eagles of Hodgson to a 18-2 win over the Rams of Dickinson. Alyssa White went 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored. Katelyn Mullins had 3 hits for Dickinson.

Courtney Brobst hit a home run in the first inning driving in 2 runs. Nikki Marcon drove in five runs on a Grand Slam in the second inning for Caravel Academy as they defeated Indian River 12-2.
Grace Snyder was 1 for 1 with a double for Indian River.

Tracy Pleasanton pitched a complete game giving up only 3 hits and had 7 strikeouts. Maggie Cannon lead off bottom of 7th with a triple which then scored two batters later as Parkside defeated Delmar 1-0. Maggie Cannon pitched a complete game giving up 5 hits and 10 strikeouts.

Grace Frati led the comeback with a homerun in the 5th as Saint Mark’s came back from a 7-0 first inning deficit and defeat Archmere 12-10. Mia Mendez and Cassie Rath both had 3 hits for the Spartans. K. Murray went 2-3 for Archmere and A. Penrod went 2-4 with a triple.

The Royals offense saw 12 different players combine for 22 hits, including 8 different players with extra base hits as Delmarva Christian defeated St. Peters and Paul by a 18-1 score. Jordyn DiFava, Kandice Schlabach, Ashlyn Stonebraker, Siera Jones, Gracie Fetterman and Erin Parker all had multiple RBI's.

Camryn Thompson had 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in 2 innings of work. Parker allowed 1 earned run, 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 3 in 3 innings pitched.

The Rams and the Yellowjakcets got together for the second time this season and this time both teams were hitting the ball with some power as Newark won 23-13. The two biggest blows of the game were turned in by Dickinson's Autumn Joseph and Newark's Shannon Eberle. Autumn hit a base clearning triple in the top of the fifth and Shannon hit a base clearning ball in the third that short hopped the centerfield fence and then came home to score on an over throw to third.

Amanda Carron had her first career hit for the Yellowjackets as did Taylor Powers who collected her first hit and first two runs batted in. Emily Barks had multiple hits on the day and Adrienna Berry and Aubrey Smith each had two hits.

Autumn Joseph had a double and triple in the game for the Rams and Br'nyea Spratley, Nyazia Harriott, and Madison Adams each had two hits.

DMA was led by Brooke Conaty, Ali Novotny, and Lexi Johnson who all had multiple hits and RBIs. Brooke Conaty had a 3 run homerun in the fourth as they defeated Padua 8-7. Caitlin Baxter went 2 - 4 and Brooke Emmi went 2-3 for Padua.

Angelina Arter led the Delmar offense with 2 hits and 5 RBI’s as they defeated Woodbridge 11-1. Jordan Moore and Paige Lynch added two hits a piece for the Wildcats. Taylor Scott picked up two hits for the Raiders.

A walkoff single propelled Laurel with a win over Milford, 11-10. The game was tied at 10 in the bottom of the 7th when Rachel Calloway singled on a 1-1 count sccoring a run. Laurel built a six run lead in the first inning with Couri Smith starting off with a homerun. Kalaysia Reynolds, Julia Reed, and Reynolds contributed hits for Milford. Patille was on the mound for Laurel with 11 strike outs on the day. Laurel totaled 15 hits in the game. Couri Smith, Kaegen Brittingham, Morgan Brumbley, and Nicole Patille each had multiple hits.

Carbonara struck out 10 batters for St. Georges while Rachel Seiverd tripled driving in 2 RBI's. Burawski stuck out 12 for Polytech. DiCarlontonio and Kelsie Burawski both went 3 for 4 for Polytech as they defeated the Lady Hawks of St. Georges by an 8-6 score.


Great back and forth game played by both teams. Aubree Foster, Toni Testa, Beth Waguspack, Leanna bib, and Emily Elder all had mulitple hits for the day to pace the Lady Colonials of William Penn to an 11-7 win over the Lady Spartans of St. Marks. Cree williams had 3 huge RBIs in the 6th to put the game away for Penn. Aubree Foster came out tough in the top of the 7th to hold St. Marks. Maria Mendez had two hits for St. Marks


CR scored their only run in the first when Alexxys Harris doubled home Courtney Malin. Appoquinimink answered in the bottom of the first after Andrea Johnson doubled and Tayler Vitola singled Mallory Weir belted a 3-run homerun to left centerfield. The Jaguars scored again in the 4th when Isabella Eleazar doubled down the line in left and scored on the play becasue of two CR errors. On the day the Jaguars were lead by Johnson and Vitola who both had multi hit games. to pace the Lady Jags of Appoquinimink to a 4-1 win over the Lady Riders of CR. Courtney Malin had two hits for the Riders. In the circle Kourtney McNatt earned the win for APPO going the distance while striking out 9.


Teagan Bradley pitched and batted the Green Knights to their 4th victory in a row as they defeated the Lady Bulldogs of Brandywine by a 21-2 score as 3 Mount pitched combined to throw a no hitter.


Brooklynne Johnson, Carina Nepi, and Devin Bux had 3 hits apiece for Hodgson as they defeated Glasgow 14-4. Noelle McNutty had 2 hits for Glasgow.


Amanda Stull went 1 for 1 with a homerun and Natalie Paoli went 4 for 5 with a triple and homerun for Caravel Academy as they defeated Mount Saint Dominic by a 9-8 score. Raphael went 4 for 5 with 2-runs scored for Mount Saint Dominic.


Madeline Beres went 2 for 3 and Natalie Paoli hit a homerun for Caravel Academy as they defeated Notre Dame Academy 1-0. Gianpoco went 1 for 3 for Notre Dame.


Corrin Farris had two hits including a homerun, had 3 rbi's and scored two runs, Kylie Kruger had two hits and scored two runs, and Sierra Livinston had two doubles and two rbi's for the Ravens as they defeated the Lady Raiders of Concord by a 10-0 score. Taylor Wroten pitched a two hit shutout striking out 11 to gain the victory on the mound. Mary Plasmier and Shannon Edelman each had a hit for Concord.

Grace Aguilar had a great day at bat for lake with a double, triple and going 2-3 with 2 RBIs paced the Lady Spartans of Lake Forest to an 8-0 win over North Caroline . North Caroline's Trice went 2-3.


The Red Wolves defense was led by pitcher, Graceyn Frost, who threw a no-hit shutout with 12 Ks. as they defeated MOT Charter by a 17-0 win. The offense was led by Graceyn Frost who went 3-3 with a triple, Mackenzie Spadea who went 2-3 with a double and a triple, and Caitlyn Dill who also added two hits.


DMA was led by Olivia Farris and Ali Novotny who both had multiple h and won 13-2. Olivia Farris also threw a 2-hitter with 9 K's for DMA. Regan Mandick had both of Red Lions hits.


Mount's Teagan Bradley scattered eight singles while striking out ten Colonials for her fourth win of the season as the Lady Knights defeated the Lady Colonials of William Penn by a 7-5 score. She also contributed 2 hits, as did teamates Kristin Haroldsdottir, and Nicole Tomassi. Aubree Foster, Indira Purnell, Emily Elder and Janyea McDonald-Robinett all had 2 hits for William Penn


Savannah Sheats pitched seven inning,allowing one run on two hits and striking out four. Kayla Sobolak went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI's to pace the Lady Bucs of Caravel Academy to a 6-1 win over the Lady Hawks of St. Georges, Courtney Brobst went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's and Nikki Marcon went 3 for 4 with a double, homerun and a RBI for Caravel Academy. Rachel Seiverd went 1 for 1 for St. Georges.


As always a tight game between the Lady Highlanders and the Lady Rams, the Lady Rams won 16-11. Kylie Golon pitched a complete game for Dickinson, striking out 7. Grace Darden was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI's, Brooklynn Bates had 3 RBI's, and Allison Hendrickson and Ta'shai Haman scored three times each for the Lady Rams.For McKean, Valerie Clark was 3 for 5 with 4 RS, Ariana Sanchez had 2 RBI's, and Mylinah Hales and Jasmine Page each scored 2 runs each.These two district rivals will square off again in May.


Appoquinimink defeated Archmere 4-3 Tuesday afternoon behind a great pitching performace from Kourtney McNatt. She allowed only 3 hits while striking out 13 to earn the win. Offensivily the Jaguars were lead by Mallory Weir who had 2 hits including a RBI double. Tayler Vitola also contributed with a multi hit game. Weir drove in the go ahead run Andrea Johnson in the 7th with a fielders choice after Johnson hit a one out double. Madi Wallace had two hits including a 2 run double for Archmere.


B. Stevenson lead Polytech with 3 hits. H. DiCarlantonio, E. Horn, and J. Rojas each added hits for the Panthers as they won 6-1. E. Carey and D. Vanbuskirk each had hits for Woodbridge.


Tech downed the Lady Bucs 22-10. Corrine Farris was 3 for 3 and Colleen Cosbey was 2 for 2 for the Lady Ravens. Courtney Kohel was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI for Milford.


J. Moore and S. Tyndall lead the way for the Wildcats with 3 hits and S. Taylor had 2 hits of her own and won over Laurel 7-2. P. Givans and C. Smith collected 2 hits for the Bulldogs. Tracy Pleasanton collects the win in the circle pitching a complete game.


Emma Saxton got the win in her first varsity start for Saint Mark's, with Emily Cartwright and Mia Mendez both driving in 3 RBI's to defeat the Lady Bulldogs of Brandywine 14-8. Paige Thomas had 5 runs and went 2 for 2 at the plate. For Brandywine Campbell-Mobley and Miller both went 2 for 3 and 2 runs scored. Gbemudu had 10 strikeouts.

Kacie Noonan scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the first for NCS. as they defeated the Lady Raiders of Concord by a 1-0 score. Madi Turner led the Patriots going 2-3 while Caitlin Pontak recorded 10 strikeouts. Sarah Raab and Mary Plasmier had multi-hit games for Concord.

Highlights:
Sara Miller doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Payton Dixon earned the win for Lady Eagles. She went five innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out two and walking zero.
Kaelyn Press, Olivia Faragher, and Lexi Moore each collected two hits to lead Lady Eagles.by a 12-2 win over the Lady Cavaliers of Middletown. Abigail Mace had a homerun with 3 RBIs.
Carly Setting went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Middletown in hits.

Madyson McDougal lead the Auks going 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI's to Pace Archmere to a 13=2 win over the Lady Vikings of St. Elizabeth. Annie Penrod also went 3 for 3 scoring 3 runs. For the Auks, Jocelyn Phillips also scored 3 times, Kayla Murray drove in 3 runs, and Mackenzie Popp went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's. McKenzie Sweeny went 2 for 3 for the Vikings with a double.


Nikki Marcon started the 7th inning off with a home run to centerfield. Courtney Brobst reached 1st on an error and advanced to 2nd on Kayla Sobolak's single to center. Courtney Brobst scored the tieing run off of Amanda Stull's sac bunt on an over throw fielders choice to 3rd base. Kayla Sobolak advanced to 3rd on the overthrow and scored on a wild pitch to win the game for the Lady Bucs of Caravel as they defeated the Lady Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy 3-2.


Ashlee Trala tripled to start the bottom of the 7th inning and Abby McCann followed with a single to score Trala for the Newark Charter 2-1 win. Lauren Scott was 3-3 for Caesar Rodney.


The Red Wolves were led by Maddi Tiberi going 2-3. Pitcher Graceyn Frost recorded 9 strikeouts for Conrad as they defeated the Lady Spartans of St. Marks 16-6. Paige Thomas went 2-3 for St. Mark's.

McNatt went 2 innings to earn the win striking out 5, Gentry went 3 innings adding 4 more strikeouts. McNatt also belted a triple. Offensivily APPO was lead by Tayler Vitola who went 4 for 4. Andrea Johnson, Alicia Bruce, Brooke Miller, Madison Baurerle, and Mallory Weir all had multi hit games. Weir had 3 RBI's on the day. Nadia Kulikowski reach base and had a few nice defensive plays for Delcastle.

M. Hazen drove in two in the bottom of the 7th to lead Polytech to a 5-4 win over Milford. Ka. Burawski and K. Nagle each added two hits for the Panthers. C. Kohel, E. Sickles, and H. Baker all had hits for Milford. Ka. Burawski struck out 10 for Polytech.

Sussex Central scored in the first inning on a double by Oldham and continued a powerful offense led by Hayes and Evick who both went 3-4 as they defeated the Lady Spartans of Lake Forest 9-1. Kaisey Reed helped Central's defense by striking out 9. Brittany Baker went 3-4 with a double for Lake.

Newark was led offensively by Shannon Eberle, Andrienna Berry, and Shannon Smith. Shannon Eberle had a two RBI triple and scored two runs as they defeated the Lady Highlanders of McKean 17-3 score, Adrienna Berry had two hits and scored two runs, and Shannon Smith had three hits, drove in three runs, and score three times. Emily Barks also scored three times for the Yellowjackets.

McKean was lead by Arianna Sanchez who had two hits and scored two times. Jailene Vega and Jasmine Page each had one hit and Jacqueline Spruel scored one run.

Newark Charlotte Rose picked up her third win on the season pitching five innings and striking out eleven batters.

Fetterman (2B), DiFava, Schlabach, Jones had hits for DCHS. Jones scored their only run.
Kaeli Willey had a double and 2 RBI's, Kaniah James hit a double and an RBI, and Ryleigh Elliott had a hit and an RBI. The Vikings batted around in the 3rd, scoring 6 runs as they defeated the Lady Ravens of St. Thomas More by a 7-1 score.
Savannah Reed struck out 3 and Marissa Frederick struck out 3 to combine for the win on the mound.


Heading into the bottom of what would be the final inning, MOT was down 11- 5. MOT mounted a comeback and was able to claim a 12-11 victory thanks to a walk-off single by Olivia DeLillio.

Carina Nepi and Alyssa White had 2 hits apiece for Hodgson as they defeated Brandywine 5-3. Chelsea Gbemudu struck out 11 for Brandywine. Campbell-Mobley, Miller, Gbemudu RBI each.

Caitlin Pontak led NCS going 3-4 with one RBI while striking out 8 batters. Abby McCann had 3 RBI for the Patriots and Natalie Ziemba scored 3 runs to pace Newark Charter to a 8-3 win over Archmere. Andrea Penrod registered a multi-hit game for Archmere.

DMA won 3-2 over Mt. Pleasant and was led by Ashlie Conaty, Nicole Elliott, Delani Sheehan, Clare Henry and Julia Farris who all had multiple hits.
Mt.Pleasant was led by Brianna Snover who had 2 hits.

Thomas and Deel had the only hits for St. Mark's. Savannah Reed struck out 9, allowing 2 hits for the VIkings as they defeated the Lady Spartans of St. Marks by a 14-0 score. Ryleigh Elliott and Savannah Reed each had 3 RBI's, Haley Rauch added 2 RBI's Chloe Fulgarty added an RBI. Sydney Doel was 2 for 3, scoring 2 runs.

Casey Meyer went 2 for 2 knocking in 4 runs to lead CSW to a 14-0 victory. Brooke Dooley was 3 for 3 while Antonia Browning and Cassidy Zelano both had 2 RBI. Haley Lattamous and Antonia Browning combined for the 1 hit shutout.

Sydney Mia Guerrier went 2 for 3, Amanda Stull went 3 for 3 and Sydney Jones pitched a shut-out and had 5 strike-outs for Caravel Academy as they defeated Pennsville 15-0.
Wertz, Hartman, Batterby each had a hit for Pennsville Memorial.


In the top of the fourth, IR’s Williams scored on a single by Mitchell. Lake came back in the bottom of the fourth through base hits by Thompson and Aguilar, a sac fly by Collins and an error in field. Lake a had big inning in the sixth with multiple hits by Baker, Glanden, Stahre, and Aguilar as they defeated the Lady Indians by an 8-4 score. Glanden and Aguilar went 2-3 overall. O’Shield’s struck out 7.

Camryn Thompson threw seven strong innings allowing 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 6 to pace Delmarva Christian to a 9-1 win over the Lady Colonials of William Penn. Ashlyn Stonebraker led the Royals offensively, going 3-4 with 2 triples and 3 RBI. Thompson, Jordyn DiFava, Gracie Fetterman and Kandice Schlabach had 2 hits each. Siera Jones contributed 2 RBI.

Indira Purnell had 2 hits for William Penn. Emily Elder, Janyea McDonald-Robinette and Leanna Bib had 1 hit each. Edler drove in the lone run for William Penn
 
4-23-18 Softball

Jazzmin Haman scored the winning run when she stole home in the 1st inning. She also went 5-5 with 5 rbi. Morgan Guns pitched 6 strong innings, giving up only 2 runs on 2 hits, with 8 strikeouts to pace Glasgow to a 15-2 win over Design Lab.
For Design Lab, Pitcher Falon Madden had a season-high 6 strikeouts and Cheyenne Tanner had a rbi double in the 3rd inning.
It was a 3-2 game after 3 innings when Glasgow scored 12 times over the last 3 innings to put the game away.

Both pitchers battled for the win today with 7 strikeouts each. Anderson only allowed 4 hits and Stahre only allowed 3. Glanden went 2-3 for Lake.

Kaelyn Press scored two runs and Lexi Moore added another for the Eagles as they won 3-1.

M. Carey had a doule for Woodbridge and D. Vanbuskirk scored Woodbridge's only run. Kaniah James hit a double for Cape and Kaeli Willey had multiple hits and 3 RBI's. Mackenzie Irelan added hit and 4 RBI's. Haley Biddinger added an RBI on a sac fly to pace Cape Henlopen to a 17-1 win over the Lady Blue Raiders of Woodbridge.

Mount'sTeagan Bradley gave up 2 hits while striking out 11. Nicole Tomassi was 3 for 3, and Jalia Lawrence homered driving in the winning runs to pace the Lady Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant to a 7-0 win over the Lady Vikings of St. Elizabeth. Claudia Roncone and Mary Kegelman had St. E's hits.

Delmarva Christian won a hard fought game against Dover scoring 3 runs in the top of the 7th. With 2 outs, Jordyn DiFava reached on an error. Kandice Schlabach singled and Ashlyn Stonebraker reached on a hit by pitch to load the bases for Siera Jones. Jones drove a 1-2 pitch into the left field corner for a bases clearing double to put the Royals up 4-3. In the bottom of the 7th, with 2 outs and a runner on first, Jones made a leaping grab on a deep fly ball to right off the bat of Katie Dunlap to end the game.

Dunlap pitched 7 strong innings for the Senators allowing 6 hits and striking out 1. Camryn Thompson went the distance for the Royals allowing 6 hits and striking out 3. Kandice Schlabach had 3 hits and 2 runs scored for the Royals

: Kylie Golon pitched a complete game for the Lady Rams as they defeated the Lady Dragons, 13 - 10, in a BHC Flight B game.
Dickinson was lead by Brooklynn Bates (2-4, 1 RBI), Tamera Williams (2-4, 2 RS, 2 RBI), Br'nyea Spratley (1-3, triple, 1 RBI), Autumn Joseph (1-3, 3 RS, 1 triple, 2 RBI), and Grace Darden (1-4, 2 RS, double, 2 RBI).
The Lady Dragons hit the ball well with Jazzmin Haman (3-4, 2 RS, 3 RBI), Morgan Guns (2-5, 1 RBI), Skylar Brainard (1-3, 3 RS). Noelle McNulty also had 2 RBI's for Glasgow.
Big Highlight in the game was a Triple Play turned in by Dickinson in the 2nd inning!

: Concord’s Sarah Raab led the offense going 3 for 3 with 2 RBI’s. Mary Plasmier went 2 for 2 with an RBI and Casey Best had a hit and 3 RBI’s. Raab recorded 15 strikeouts on the day as the Lady Raiders defeated Delcastle 13-1. Delcastle’s Hannah Sargent-Yeager hit a triple.

Conrad's offense was led by Graceyn Frost as she went 3 for 3 at the plate. to pace Conrad to a 10-0 win over First State Military Academy. Abby Cushing went 2 for 2, and Skyler Poore went 2 for 3 with two doubles. Pitcher Emily Yeatman had 10 strikeouts in today's win. Sabine Portalatin had the only hit for First State Military Academy.

Morgan Mendick had 2 RBI's for Red Lion as they defeated Archmere 7-2. Andrea Penrod was 4 for 4 for Archmere.

Autumn Boothe led the Wildcats going 3 for 4 with 2 homeruns and 4 RBI’s. Jordan Moore, Hannah Davis, and Madison Lemon collected multiple hits for Delmar as they defeated Indian River 10-1.

Whitman and Mayfield had two hits a piece for the Indians.

Ke Burawski lead the Panthers going 2 for 3 with a double and triple. Ka Burawski, H DiCarlantonio, H Wich, and J Rojas all added hits for Polytech as they defeated Seaford 4-1. J. evans hit a triple for Seaford and was brought in by C. Chandler's single.

Antonia Browning tossed a 2-0 shut out striking out 8 to earn the win. Mallory McCormick and Cierra Tweed each had two hits while Tweed and Ashley Steiner each knocked in a run for the Force as they defeated CR 2-0. Courtney Malin was 3 for 3 for CR.

Rachel Seiverd went 4 for 4 with a double triple and 4 RBI's. Carbonara and Long combined for 8 strike out and five hits for the game to pace St.Georges to a 12-0 win over the Lady Silver Eagles of Hodgson. Killian went 2 for 2 with a pair of singles for Hodgson.


MOT Charter stole the lead late and defeated Tome school. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the fourth, when Kacey Firlein doubled on her first pitch, scoring two runs. The mustangs went on to add 3 more runs heading into the top of the 5th inning leading 10-5. The mustangs gave up 3 runs, but were able to end the game on a heads up double play by Rebecca Maiorano and won 10-8.

The Patriots were led by 8th graders Sami Sobocinski and Ashlee Trala. Sobocinski was 3-3 with a sacrifice fly while Trala was 2-3 with an RBI. Peyton Vivian registered 3 RBI for NCS while Madi Turner and Bella Hagen scored 2 runs each. Caitlin Pontak tossed the shutout tallying 11 strikeouts as they defeated the Lady Pandas of Padua 8-0. Kathryn Twardowski tallied 2 hits for Padua.

Softball

The Auks and Colonials were scoreless through 4. Emily Elder made a great diving catch to turn a double play for William Penn in the 4th. William Penn took a 2-0 lead in the 5th on RBI single from Aubree Foster. In the bottom, Madyson McDougal tied the game with a 2 RBI single for the Auks. After a 1-2-3 inning, the Auks struck again. Sophie Friedman started the rally with a 2 out single and was followed by hits from Annie Penrod, Jocelyn Phillips, and Madyson McDougal as the Auks won 6-2.

Kayla Murray scattered 6 hits to earn the win. Annie Penrod went 4 for 4 and Madyson McDougal drove in 3 runs.

For William Penn, Aubree Foster and Janyea McDonald-Robinett each went 2 for 3.

Mel Grant and Grace Frost matched scoreless innings until the 11th. Catie Baxter scored from second on a bunt by Hannah Solge who took second on the over throw. Solge was sacrificed to third by Zoey Jones and scored on Alex Musial's sac fly as Padua won 2-0.

Mallory Weirs fielder's choice in the 3rd allowed Tayler Viola to score to give APPO a 1 to 0 lead. Caravel tied the game in the in the bottom of the 6th when Natalie Paoli doubled and scored on a single by Madelyn Beres. Appoquinimink regained the lead in the top of the 7th when Andrea Johnson doubled home Maddie Bauerle to pace Appo by a 2-1 win over Caravel. Appoquinimink starter Kourtney McNatt went 6 and third strong innings scattering 4 hits and allowing 1 run. Autumn Gentry relieved her going an inning and a 2 thirds retiring all five batters she faced to earn the win in relief.

Olivia Farris and Delani Sheehan combined on a no-hit shutout. Abby Montgomery had 3 hits in 3 at bats for DMA as they defeated the Lady Mustangs of MOT Charter 18-0.

Alyssa White was 2 for 3 for Hodgson. Kristin Haroldsdottir and Kelsey Eroh each had two hits for the Green Knights as they defeated the Lady Silver Eagles by a 14-4 win.

Newark Charter broke it open in the 5th inning when Kacie Noonan tripled to score 2 runs as they defeated Charter 4-3. Madi Turner followed with a double to score Noonan. Bella Hagen was 2-3 for the Patriots and Sami Sobocinski was 1-2 with the game-winning RBI in bottom of the 6th. Caitlin Pontak recorded 16 strikeouts for NCS. Ashley Steiner had 2 hits for the Force.

Sarah Raab and Kristin Carter combined to pitch a 1 hit shutout with six strikeouts to pace the Lady Raiders of Concord to a 14-0 win over the Lady Tigers of AI DuPont. Concord's offense was led by Shannon Edelman who went 2 for 3 with a 2 run homerun and another RBI and Kristin Carter who had 2 triples and 2 RBI's. Skye Lupi and Casey Best each hit 2 run homeruns and Sarah Raab had 2 hits. Jessica Oldham had a hit for AI duPont.

:Taylor Wroten pitched a 3 hit shutout striking out 12 and walking none to pace the Ravens of Sussex Tech to a 6-0 win over Polytech.

Both teams fought hard in a game that went extra innings with each pitcher striking out 5. CR’s Stamas and Forse both went 1-2. Lake’s Baker went 2-3 while Collins went 3-4. Lexi Stahre had the hit that scored the winning run with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th to pace the Lady Spartans of Lake Forest to a 1-0 win.

Laurel Bulldogs were led by Peyton Givans with 3 hits, Nicole Patille with a homerun and a double, and Kaegen Brittingham added a double as well. Patille was on the mound with 9 strikeouts on the day as they Nandua of VA by a 12-6 score.

Nandua had 8 hits, with L. Truitt adding a double to the day. P. Murphy was on the mound.

Madyson McDougal lead the Auks in an offensive battle going 3 for 4 with 2 homeruns, 5 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Sophie Friedman went 4 for 4 and added 2 runs. Archmere also got multi-hit games from Annie Penrod and Kayla Murray. Meg Bohannon lead the defense with multiple great plays at first base as the Lady Auks defeated the Lady Silver Eagles of Hodgson 13-5.

For Hodgson, Brooklynne Johnson went 4 for 4 and scored 2 runs. Faith Gordon went 3 for 4.

Appoquinimink and Newark Charter played a 9 inning marathan. APPO took the early 1 to 0 lead when Brooke Miller homered over the leftcenter fence. They extended the lead to 3 on a two run single by Madison Bauerle. Newark Charter scored an uneraned run in the 3rd and then tied the game in the fifth on a two run homerun by Peyton Vivian. The game remained tied until the 9th when Newark Charter scored 4 runs, the big blow was a 2 run double by Caitlin Pontak. The Patriots added 2 more on sac flys to go up 7 to 3. Appoquinimink battled back scoring 5 in the bottom of the ninth. Madelline Olivas started the inning with a double. The Jaguars loaded the bases with a single by Baurele and a walk. Two runs scored on an infield hit by Tayler Vitola. Mallory Weir drove in the third run of the inning. Brooke Miller singled home Vitola to tie the game. After a double play by the Patriots, APPO's Autumn Gentry singled in the gap scoring Mallory Weir giving Appoquinimink the 8 to 7 victory. On the day Gentry and Baurele each had 3 hits for the Jaguars and Miller, Alicia Bruce, and Olivas also had multi hit games.

Delmarva Christian scored 11 runs in the 2nd inning to break the game open as they defeated Salisbury Christian 20-9. Erin Parker led the way offensively for the Royals with 3 hits. Gracie Fetterman had 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Camryn Breasure had 2 hits and 4 RBI. Siera Jones and Ashlyn Stonebraker had 2 hits and 2 RBI each. Jordyn DiFava had a home run and 3 RBI. Parker went the distance in the circle for the Royals, allowing 3 earned runs on 9 hits, striking out 6.

Savannah Dukes had 2 hits and 2 RBI for Salisbury Christian.

Newark Yellowjackets played a complete game this afternoon defeating the McKean Highlanders 15-1. Charlotte Rose pitched a complete game three hitter, striking out seven batters and yielding one walk and one hit batter.

The Yellowjacket defense played solid in the field and were led offensively by Adrienna Berry, Eden Rose, Shannon Smith, Megan Hunter and Emily Barks. Each collecting two hits and Barks having a three hit performance on the day; having a single, double and triple.

Charlotte Rose, Adrienna Berry, Emily Barks, Shannon Eberle, Shannon Smith, and Aurbrey Smith all scored twice.

McKean was led by Valerie Clark with two hits and one run scored. Mackenzie Szymanksi had the other hit for the Highlanders. Valerie Clark turned in some outstanding catches in the outfield taking away three potential Yellowjacket extra base hits. Mackenzie Szymanski and Jacqueline Spruel played solid shortstop and third base for McKean. Jailene Vega pitched excellent relief for the Highlanders.

M. Hazen lead the Panthers with a triple and a single as they defeated the Christiana Vikings 19-1. D. Whaley also had two hits for Polytech. Ka. Burawski had 8 strikeouts.

Every player on the Penn team contributed hits for the 15-5 win. Cree Williams ended the game in the bottom of the 5th with a walk off 2 run double. Aubree Foster came in as relief in the 1st scattering 4 hits for the win.
McKenzie Sweeney had two hits for St.Es and reached base all three at bats.

Carely Williamson and Kacey Firlein each had 5 strikeouts and zero walks for MOT as they defeated St. Thomas More Lady Ravens 10-0. Sydney Sapp went 3-3 at the plate leading the Mustangs in hits.

Samantha Carbonara tied the game up in the 7th with a triple scoring two, then Rachel DiMarcello drove in the winning run for St. George's in the bottom of the 7th with two outs. Graceyn Frost struck out 12 for Conrad.

Camryn Thompson, Erin Parker and Jaylah Culver combined to throw 5 solid innings allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits while striking out 5 to pace the Lady Royals of Delmarva Christian to a 20-1 win over the Lady Mustangs of MOT Charter. Thompson and Siera Jones led the Royals with 4 hits each. Gracie Fetterman, Camryn Breasure, Erin Parker and Ashlyn Stonebraker each contributed 3 hits. Jones and Stonebraker had 4 RBI each. Fetterman had 4 runs scored. Hailey Watlington had 2 hits for MOT Charter and scored their lone run. Caroline Dowd and Bethany Sullivan had one hit each.


Skylar Gallucio had 8 strikeouts and earned her second win of the season to pace St. Elizabeth to a 13-1 win over the Lady Rams of Dickinson. Madison Merrill had 3 hits and Marissa Kegelman added two hits for the Vikings.


Grace Frati went 5 for 5 with four doubles and a triple for Saint Mark's as they defeated Newark 26-10, Paige Thomas went 4 for 4 and Maddie Saunders went 3 for 3 for the Spartans. Charlotte Rose went 2 for 2 for the Yellow Jackets and Eden Rose reached base 3 times.

Savannah Sheats allowed one hit and one run over five innings, striking out three to pace the Lady Bucs of Caravel to a 11-1 win over the Lady Cavs of Middletown. MaKenzie Brown, Gia Ioannoni, Amanda Stull and Courtney Brobst all had two hits to lead Caravel to victory.Maddison Caldwell went 1 for 2 at the plate for Middletown.


The Tiger's Jessica Oldham had 2 RBIs with a solo homerun and Emily Johns had a double and 3 RBIs to pace AI DuPont to a 10-0 win over the Lady Cougars of Delcastle. Cougar pitcher Catherine Nelson had 5 strikeouts and Nadia Kulikowski had a great defensive play from left field with the throw to second.


Autumn Gentry pitched a complete game 2 hitter while striking out 10 to lead Appoquinimink past Wilmington Charter 3-0. The Jaguars scored all their runs in the 4th inning. Taylor Vitola reached on an error and scored of a double by Mallory Weir. Weir came around to score when Alicia Bruce doubled to leftcenter, one of her 2 hits on the day. Gentry helped her self as she doubled home Bruce to give the Jags a 3-0. Ashlley Steiner and Brooke Dooley singled for the Force.


Conrad's defense was led by pitcher, Graceyn Frost, who recorded 17 strikeouts on the day. Frost also went 4 for 5 at the plate with a triple and a homerun as they defeated the Lady Silver Eagles of Hodgson 9-0. Maddi Tiberi went 3 for 4, and Abby Cushing, Cassidy Dodds, and Sophia Zwack each added two hits for the Red Wolves. Carina Nepi, Brooklynne Johnson, and Amaia Killian each had a hit for Hodgson.


Sussex Central and Milford had an epic Henlopen Conference battle as the Lady Bucs prevailed 14-13. With the Lady Knights leading 13-2 in the top of the 5th the Lady Bucs battled back for a 14-13 victory. Each Milford batter had at least one hit in the game. Macey Meyers had 4 RBI's and Julia Reed made an amazing catch to end a late 7th inning rally from Central. Natalie Oldham and Haley Gray each had 3 hits for the Lady Knights.


Corrin Farris had three hits including a home run and three rbi's. Kylie Kruger had three hits including a double. Megan Perdue had two hits and 2 rbi's and Jakayla Sample had three rbi's. Taylor Wroten pitched a one hitter striking out 8 to pace the Lady Ravens to an 11-0 win over the Lady Bulldogs. Couri Smith had a double for Laurel


Carissa Thorne, Jaylee Backus, Rachel McCleary, Lauren Scott, and Stephanie Horne each managed multiple hits for CR. M. Frederick, H. Rauch, and K. O'Neil- Willey all managed multiple hits for Cape as they won 12-9.

Indira Purnell pitched 4 shut out, no hit innings with 10 strike outs for Penn as they defeated Brandywine 10-0. Ashley Gallagher came in to pitch in the 5th to finish the no hitter with 2 strike outs. Aubree Foster was 2 for 3 with a triple.
Chelsea Gbemuda pitched a very strong game for Brandywine until unfortunatly getting hurt in the 4th.

The Patriots scored 3 early runs and held Polytech scoreless until the 6th inning and won 3-1. Bella Hagen was 3-4 with 2 RBI while Kacie Noonan and Sami Sobocinski were 2-3 for Newark Charter. Caitlin Pontak registered 16 strikeouts. Hayley DiCarlantonio was 2-3 for Polytech.

Padua scored 4 runs to earn the come from behind victory over the Lady Bucs 12-10. Nadia Baxter was 3 for 3 and Alexandra Musial was 2 for 3 for the Pandas. Morgan Petty, Kalaysia Reynolds, and Macey Meyers were all 3 for 4 for Milford.

Autumn Gentry earned the win in the circle for Appoquinmink pitching 7 strong innings and defeated the Lady Cavs of Middletow 3-1. Middletown scored an unearned run in the second to take a 1-0 lead. Appoquinimink tied the game in 6th with an unearned run of their own when Brooke Miller singled to left. Mallory Weir who singled earlier in the inning scored on a passed ball to give the Jaguars a 2 to 1 lead. Autumn Gentry drove home Miller to cap the 3 run inning. Brianna Reed doubled for Middletown.

Delani Sheehan and Olivia Farris combined for a 1-hitter to pace the Lady Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy to a 12-1 win over the Lady Bulldogs of First State Military Academy. Carmen Black had the hit for FSMA

Sam McCall oitcher her first complete game for a win striking out 7 Rams to pace the Lady Vikings of Christiana to a 25-8 win over the Lady Rams of Dickinson. McCall also went 2 for 5 with a double and collected 4 RBI's

Cambell-Mobley, Miller, Gbemudu, Quillen 3 hits each. Parker added 4 RBI. Miller, Gbemudu, Quillen each scored 4 runs to pace Brandywine to a 25-6 win over the Lady HIghlanders of McKean.

McKean - 2 hits each by Sanchez and Wheelin. Sanchez scored twice.

Hodgson Silver Eagles opened up a close game in the fifth inning by scoring five runs on two bunt singles and running the bases excellent all day. Alyssa White had two hits, four runs scored, and one RBI in the lead off spot. Carina Nepi, Brooklynne Johnson, and Amaia Killian each had one hit. Carina scored twice, Brooklynne three times, and Killian once. Celine Wilson also scored twice and Faith Gordon scored once.

The Yellowjackets were led by Eden Rose who was 3 for 3 on the day with two double, a single, and 2 RBI's and a run scored. Shannon Smith had two hits for Newark.

Both teams combined to turn three double plays on the day and the Silver Eagles stole eight bases as a team on the day to help aid their 13-3 win.

:Mount's Teagan Bradley, pitched and batted the Green Knights to an 11-2 victory. She gave up 4 singles and struck out 11. She went 3 for 3 with a single, triple, home run and two RBIs. Her battery mate Kelsey Eroh was 3 for 4 with two doubles and 2 RBIs. Kate Schultz was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Madison Saunders, Emily Gildea, Cassiona Rath and Lauren Henry all had hits for St. Marks.

In the first ever Night Softball Game at Newark HS it lived up to all the excitement and hype for a Senior Night Game. Glasgow and Newark battled for almost three hours before Newark used a 2 out 4 run rally in the 4 inning to break open a 8-8 tie after Glasgow tied it up in the top of the fourth with four runs of their own as the Lady Yellowjackets won 13-9.

Senior Megan Hunter reached base three times in the game. In the first inning she used a two run line drive single to cap off a six run first inning for the Yellowjackets. In the fourth she hustled down the line an induced a base clearning three base error as the ball ended up down the right field line. Emily Barks had a RBI triple in the fifth inning to give the Yellowjackets an insurance run as Shannon Eberle came all the way around from first to score.

Senior Destini Norris recorded her first RBI of her career in the first inning. Seniors Eden Rose played an excellent game at 3rd and scored two runs for the Yellowjackets. Shannon Eberle scored three times, Adrienna Berry scored twice and Senior Aubrey Smith scored twice as well.

Charlotte Rose pitched a complete game striking out six Glasgow Dragon hitters and allowing just four walks and seven hits.

Skylar Brainard had the big hits for the Dragons recording two extra base hits, a double and a triple in back to back at bats in the 4th and 6th inning. A seven-run first inning led Middletown Cavaliers to a 12-4 victory on Friday. Middletown Cavaliers put the pressure on, lead by singles by Ali Clemons, Maddie Caldwell, and Carly Setting, an error on a ball put in play by Brianna Reed and Lilly Cera-Proulx, a walk by Jenna McDermott, and by Becca Buckman.

Middletown Cavaliers opened up scoring in the first inning. Middletown Cavaliers scored one run when Clemons singled.

Cera-Proulx took the win for Middletown Cavaliers. She lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out eight and walking one.

I Purnell took the loss for William Penn. She lasted one inning, allowing five hits and nine runs.

Middletown Cavaliers collected 12 hits on the day. McDermott and Setting each had multiple hits for Middletown Cavaliers. Setting and McDermott all had two hits to lead Middletown Cavaliers.

William Penn had nine hits in the game. T Testa and A Foster all had multiple hits for William Penn.

Dover scored an exciting 7th inning win when Mariah Torres beat out a infield hit scoring Kaila Quick from second base. Kaniah James had tied the game with a two out 2 run HR in the top of the 7th and the Lady Senators of Dover won 6-5.

For Lake, Lexi Stahre went 2-3 and Brooke Glanden went 2-3 with a double. Katie Stahre went 3-4 as they defeated the Lady Lions of Red Lion by a 4-1 score. For Red Lion, Paolantonio went 2-3 with a double.

Jessica Anderson only allowed 5 hits and 0 runs to shutout Caravel 7-0. Madison Drummond , Kaelyn Press, and Olivia Smith had multiple hits for the lady eagles. Julia Thuer had 3 RBIs .
Amanda Stull went 2-3 at the plate for the Lady Bucs.

Autumn Gentry and Jessica Walter combined on the no hitter, each striking out 5 to help Appoquinimink defeat St. Marks.13-0 The Jaguars offense belted out 18 hits. Autumn Gentry led the way going 3 for 3 with a double and triple with 2 RBI's. Tayler Vitola and Mallory Weir also had three hits on the day. Morgan Widdoes, Alicia Bruce, Brooke Miller, and Andrea Johnson each had multi hit games. Johnson doubeld and tripled with 2 RBI's. Freshman Kylie Taylor and Jessica Walter each belted doubles and drove in runs in their first varisty career at-bats. Grace Frati had multiple outstanding defensive plays for the Spartans.

St. George's held a 2-0 lead until the 6th inning when Newark Charter's Caitlin Pontak doubled to score Bella Hagen. Peyton Vivian followed with a single that scored courtsey runner Natalie Ziemba. Abby McCann led off the 7th inning for the Patriots and reached second on a St. George's miscue. McCann eventually scored on Madi Turner's game-winning single and won 3-2. Samantha Carbonara was 2-3 with an RBI for the Hawks.

Lauren Simpson earned the win in her first career varsity start striking out 3 batters and allowing 3 hits to pace the Lady Auks of Archmere to a 6-2 win over the Lady Tigers of AI DuPont. Kayla Murray closed the game out allowing 2 hits and striking out 4 batters. Annie Penrod lead the Auk offense going 3 for 4 with a triple, 3 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases. Jocelyn Phillips reached base three times, stole 3 bases, and scored 2 runs.

For AI, Jessica Oldham tripled and scored. Sydney Stevens struck out 6 batters.

Concord's defense was led by Kristin Carter who pitched a 1 hit shutout with 8 strikeouts to pace the Lady Raiders of Concord to an 18-0 win over the Lady Bulldogs of Brandywine. Concord's offense was led by Shannon Edelman who had 3 hits and 2 RBI's, Mary Plasmier who had a homerun and 3 RBI's, Skye Lupi who had a 2 run triple with another RBI, Sarah Raab who had 2 hits and scored 2 runs, and Melissa DiDonato who had a hit with 2 RBI's. Brandywine's Kaybriana Campbell-Mobley and Tabitha Parker each had a hit.

Concord's defense was led by Sarah Raab who pitched a 1 hitter with 7 strikeouts on the day as they defeated the Lady Red Wolves of Conrad 4-1. Concord's offense was led by Makaila Gordy, Skye Lupi, Mary Plasmier, and Kaitlyn Carter who each had a hit. Juliana Paoli had a hit for Conrad.

Savannah Sheats went four innings, allowing 1 hit and no runs. Nikki Marcon went 3 for 3 with a triple and Natalie Paoli went 2 for 3 for Caravel Academy as they defeated Gloucester Catholic of NJ by a 10-0 score.

Baldwin, Cloak, Hussey and Allison each had a hit for Gloucester Catholic.
 
5-7-18 Softball

Camryn Thompson pitched 7 shutout innings to pick up the 5-0 win over Delmar. Thompson allowed 3 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 2. The Royals played good defense behind her to help maintain the shutout. Tracy Pleasanton was also solid in the circle allowing just 1 earned run on 6 hits.

The Royals opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the 4th. Jordyn DiFava led off with a single and advanced to 2nd on a sac bunt by Kandice Schlabach. DiFava then scored on a throwing error as she advanced to third on a passed ball. The Royals scored 4 more in the bottom of the 6th. Morgan Waide led off with a single before being replaced by pinch runner Savannah Stewart. Gracie Fetterman followed with a bunt single and DiFava's sacrifice bunt moved them to 2nd and 3rd. Stewart then scored on Schlabach's grounder to 2nd, beating the throw to the plate. Ashlyn Stonebraker followed with a sacrifice fly to score Fetterman. Siera Jones singled to score Schlabach, and after Thompson reached on an error, Erin Parker singled to score Jones.

Hannah Davis, Madi Lemon and Autumn Boothe had hits for Delmar

Natalie Paoli went 4 for 4 with a homerun, triple and 2 singles, Nikki Marcon went 2 for 3 with 2 homeruns, Maddie Beres went 3 for 5 with a homerun, double and single to lead the Bucs to an 11-3 victory over Lake Forest.
Grace Aguliar went 2 for 4 for Lake Forest.

Skylar Gallucio and Marissa Kegelman each had 3 hits for St Elizabeth’s as they defeated Christiana 19-1. Gallucio picked up the win on the mound and Miranda Wohner added a homer for the Vikings

Mari Contreras scored the winning run in the bottom of the 1st as part of an 11-run inning in which Design Lab got its first 12 batters on base and won 19-4. Contreras also had 3 hits and 3 rbi. Corrin Bamber went 3-3 with 5 rbi. Falon Madden and Favour Omo led the team with 4 runs scored each. Pitcher Vanessa Santoleri had 2 strikeouts and pitched out of jams all game thanks to a great defensive effort behind her.

For McKean, Victorya Clark had 2 hits, including a triple to deep left field in the 1st inning. Jailene Vega had 4 strikeouts in relief.

Katie Dunlap and Jayla Davis had three each for Dover and Dunlap and Mikayla Frantz threw a combined 1 hit shutout as they defeated the Lady Yellowjackets of Newark by a 16-0 score. Megan Hunter had the lone hit for Newark.

Autumn Gentry and Jessica Walter combined on a no-hitter each striking out 3 to help led Appoquinimink past A.I. duPont 18-0. Offensively the Jaguars were lead by Bella Eleazar who went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's, and Taylor Vitola who went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Andrea Johnson, Alicia Bruce, and Autumn Gentry also had multi hit games for APPO. Appoquinimink's Brooke Miller and Mallory Weir knocked in 3 runs each. Taylor Vitola and Jill Dawson made some great defensive plays in the field.

n a hard fought Pitcher's duel between Teagan Bradley and Graceyn Frost, Mount clinched it on a 4th inning single by Bella Conte driving in courtesy runner Sydney Holman as Mount won by a 3-2 score. Conrads leadoff hitter Skylar Poore was the only hitter with more than one hit and the only extra base it of the game hitting a triple over the centerfielders head and scoring in the bottom of the seventh to close the gap to 1 run.

Kaisey Reed scattered 7 hits for the Sussex Central 7-2 win over Nandua. She was supported by solid defense with Kailee Abbott taking away 2 possible hits in left. Bella Grebe lead the offense with 4 hits.

Camryn Breasure hit 2 home runs and drove in 5 runs to lead the Royals offensively to a 16-8 win over Holy Grove of MD. Camryn Thompson, Kandice Schlabach, Jordyn DiFava and Ashlyn Stonebraker had multiple hits each. Thompson had 3 RBI, while Stonebraker, Gracie Fetterman and Erin Parker had 2 RBI each.Thompson went the distance in the circle allowing 8 earned runs on 11 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6.


Teagan Bradley and Brianna Snover combined to throw a no hitter with 9 strikeouts against Dickinson as the Lady Knights won 14-0. While the Green Knights produced 12 hits.


Concord's defense was led by Kristin Carter who pitched a 2 hit shutout with 6 strikeouts as they defeated the Lady Yellowjackets of Newark 19-0. The offense was led by Shannon Edelman who had 3 hits including a 2 run homerun and Makaila Gordy who had a 2 run home run and a 2 run triple. Sarah Raab, Devon Kiley, Kristin Carter, and Casey Best all had multiple hits for Concord. Aubrey Smith and Adrienna Berry each had a hit for Newark.


DMA was led by Olivia Farris's 1-hitter and Ali Novotny and Nikki Elliott 2 RBI a piece as they defeated the Lady Force of Charter 6-0 score. Casey Meyer had the hit for Wilm. Charter.


Newark Charter was led by it's 3 seniors in the Patriots final home game of the season and won 14-0. Abby McCann was 3-3 with 2 extra base hits, 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. Jocelyn Mohler was 2-2 with 2 RBI and Caitlin Pontak was 2-2 at the plate. Pontak allowed only one hit through 5 innings while striking out 12 batters. Rebecca Maiorano had the lone hit for MOT Charter.


Colonial's pitcher Aubree Foster had 3 strikeouts and 4 RBIs. William Penn's Ashley Gallagher and Cree Williams each had triples as they defeated the Lady Cougars of Delcastle 18-3. Delcastle's Allison Moorehead and Nadia Kulikowski both had RBIs. Hannah Sargent-Yeager also had a hit for the Cougars.


Erin Carey scattered 7 hits in the loss to the lady Knights in a solid performance as Sussex Central won 10-3. Kaisey Reed pitched 2 innings of no hit ball while Carly Collins came in relief to start the third. Kailee Abbott had two hits four SC. Woodbridge had four players tally two hits.


Abigail O'Shields pitched a 1 hit shut out with 5 strike outs as Indian River beat Milford 11-0. Julia Bomhardt and Morgan Bomhardt each had 3 hits. Julia Reed had Milford's lone hit.


Brandywine - Miller went 2 for 3 with 1 run and 1 RBI. Spencer added 2 hits. Gbemudu struck out 6. Parker & Quillen RBI each. AI-Sydney Stevens had 6 strike outs for the Tigers. Hawrylak, Oldham, and Merritt each had 2 hits a piece and defeated the Bulldogs 5-3.


Middletown Cavaliers managed through a push by Hodgson Vo-Tech in the first inning where Middletown Cavaliers coughed up three runs, but Middletown Cavaliers still won 17-4 on Tuesday. The big inning for Hodgson Vo-Tech came thanks to singles by Morgan Merced and Faith Gordon.Middletown Cavaliers got things started in the first inning. Ali Clemons singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.Middletown Cavaliers pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Carly Setting doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Lilly Cera-Proulx singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Middletown Cavaliers, and an error scored one run for Middletown Cavaliers.Middletown Cavaliers notched six runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Middletown Cavaliers was led by Jenna McDermott, Gabby Lano, Becca Buckman, and MacKenzie Hymes, all driving in runs in the frame.Cera-Proulx led the Middletown Cavaliers to victory on the rubber. She surrendered three runs on five hits over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Hymes threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.Celine Wilson took the loss for Hodgson Vo-Tech. She went five innings, allowing 17 runs on 12 hits and striking out one.Middletown Cavaliers had 12 hits in the game. Buckman, Clemons, and Cera-Proulx each managed multiple hits for Middletown Cavaliers. Buckman went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Middletown Cavaliers in hits.Carina Nepi led Hodgson Vo-Tech with two hits in three at bats.

For Design Lab Pitcher had 5k's and scored 3 runs, while 1st Baseman Tanner also scored 3 runs.For STMA Pitcher Kara Scarangella Had 16k's and Catcher Popiti had 2 Doubles and a Triple for 3 RBI's and scored 2 runs. Design Lab won 11-10.

Kalaysia Reynolds was 2 for 2 and 4 RBI's as the Lady Bucs topped Middletown 8-5. Ali Clemons was 3 for 4 for Middletown.

Jordyn DiFava hit a 3 run home run in the bottom of the 5th to end the game by run rule 19-8. Siera Jones led the way with 3 hits for the Royals. DiFava, Gracie Fetterman, Kandice Schlabach, Camryn Thompson and Erin Parker had 2 hits each. DiFava, Parker and Savannah Stewart had 3 RBI each.

Erin Parker allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits and 5 walks, while striking out 6.

Kayla Sobolak Went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a home run. Bre Bryant Natalie Paoli, Madeline Beres and Nikki Marcon were all 3 for 5 at the plate for Caravel Academy 19-6.
Alex Musial and Kathryn Twardowski both went 2 for 4 for Padua.

Kourtney McNatt and Jess Walter combined on the no hitter and defeated the Lady Vikings of Cape Henlopen 10-0. McNatt went a solid 3 striking out 5 while Walter retired all 6 batters she faced. The Jaguars offense was lead by Mallory Weir who went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's. Taylor Vitola, Autumn Gentry and Isabella Eleazar each had multiple hit games for Appoquinimink. The big blow came of the bat of Brooke Miller as she knocked a 3 run homerun in the 2nd.


DMA was led by Ashley Conaty and Brooke Conaty who both had 2 hits and 4 RBI a piece as they defeated the Lady Spartans of St. Marks 13-1. Paige Thomas had a Home-Run for St. Marks.


McKean's pitcher Jailene Vega had 3 strikeouts. Highlanders catcher Victorya Carter had a hit for McKean. Delcastle's pitcher Sam Rios had 8 strikeouts and defeated the Lady Highlanders of McKean 10-0. Outfielder Taylor Boeggeman had 2 doubles throughout the game and Catherine Nelson had a triple for the Cougars.


Kayla Murray earned the 19-3 win allowing only 3 hits. Murray also went 4 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Alex Conrad and Jocelyn Phillips each added 3 hits for the Auks and Meg Bohannon went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's. For the Mustangs, Rebecca Maiorano tripled in the 4th inning to break up a no hitter.


Haley Lattamous scattered 4 hits and struck out 9 to earn the 9-1 win. Mallory McCormkck knocked in 4 runs and Ashley Steiner had 2 hits and plated 3 runs for CSW. Skye Lupi had 2 hits and a RBI for Concord.


Brandywine - Miller goes 2 for 3 with 3 runs and 3 SB. Gbemudu adds 2 hits, 3 runs, 3 RBI. Parker adds 2 hits and 1 RBI. Draper (5) & Gbemudu (12) strike out a combined 17 as they defeated the Lady Yellowjackets of Newark 9-8.Newark - Hitting attack lead by Rose, Berry, Eberle, and Hunter. Eberle blasted a bases clearing 3B in the 3rd inning. Rose struck out 12.


Carina Nepi went 4 for 5 with 2 RBI's for Hodgson as they defeated the Lady Tigers of AI Dupont 14-9. Devin Bux went 3 for 4 with an RBI for Hodgson. Gabriella Stephano went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's for AI Dupont.


CR Snagged the lead in the 6th inning coming back from a 2-6 score to take the lead 7-6 to get a big time win over Middletown on Caesar Rodney's Senior Day. Alexxys Harris went 2 for 3 for CR. Alexxys Harris, Rachel McCleary, Jaylee Backus, Jada Courtney, Courtney Malin, and Carissa Thorne collected hits for CR. Ali Clemons, and Carly Setting each collected multiple hits for Middletown.


Taylor Wroten led the way for Tech striking out 10 to pace the Lady Ravens of Sussex Tech to a 5-3 win over the Lady Delmar Wildcats. Jakayla Sample hit a 3-run go ahead homerun in the 6th. Cosbey and Kruger has multiple hits.

D. Whaley and Ke. Burawski both went 2 for 2 for Polytech today as they defeated the Lady Bulldogs of Laurel 7-2. C. Smith had a double for Laurel. Ka. Burawski had 9 strikeouts for Polytech.

Noelle McNulty went 4-4 for Glasgow and had 4 RBIs. Dragon's pitcher Morgan Guns had 9 strikeouts and had 3 hits for Glasgow's team. Delcastle's pitcher Sam Rios had 11 strikeouts to help the Cougars. Allison Moorehead, Amber Johnson, and Tatiana Rosado each had 3 RBIs for Delcastle as they defeated the Lady Dragons of Glasgow by a 16-8 score.

Paige Lynch delivered a two out RBI single in the top of the 8th inning to break a 3-3 tie and Delmar held Padua in the bottom of the 8th and won by a 4-3. Jordan Moore led Delmar with 4 hits while Madi Lemon, Hannah Davis, and Lynch all contributed 2 hits. Tracy Pleasanton picked the win in the circle.
Padua was led offensively by Hannah Solge and Kathryn Twardowski with two hits each. Melanie Grant pitched a nice game for Padua.

Teagan Bradley spread out 6 singles by Concord while 7 of Mount Pleasant batters had two hits a piece in a inter district rivalry played at as Mt. Pleasant won by an 11-3 score over the Lady Raiders of Concord, due to field conditions at Concord. Skye Lupi had two of Concord's hits.

Jessica Walter went 5 strong innings striking out 6 to earn the 8-1 win. Autumn Gentry closed out the game striking out 4. Tayler Vitola lead APPO going 4 for 4 at the plate. Andrea Johnson and Autumn Gentry each had multi hit games. One of Gentry hits was a solo homerun. Mallory Weir had 3 RBIs on the day. Elizabeth Waguespack homered for the Colonials

Jessie Oldham went 4 for 4 from the plate with a double and triple. Jaime Hawrylak and Abbi Merritt added 2 hits a piece.

Newark was led by Shannon Smith who had 2 doubles.

H. DiCarlantion lead Polytech going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. Ka. Burawski and E. Horn also added 2 hits for Polytech as they defeated Padua 5-1. H. Solge lead Padua with 2 hits. C. Baxter, Z. Jones, A. Musial, and H. Brooks all added hits for Padua. Ka. Burawski had 11 strikeouts for Polytech.

Kylie Golon pitched a complete game with 3 strikeouts and only giving up 5 McKean hits.
Teddy Harriott scored 4 runs for Dickinson; Autumn Joseph had 2 hits and Br'nyea Spratley had 2 hits and 3 RBI's. Khalisha Heyward had two hits and 2 RBI's for the Lady Rams.
Mackenzie Szymanksi had 2 hits, Victorya Carter had 2 hits, and Jailene Vega scored twice for the Lady Highlanders.

Nagle all had 2 hits for Polytech. T. Evick, B. Grebe, K. Reed, K. Abbott, D. Hudson, and H. Gray all addd hits for Sussex Central. Ka. Burawski had 10 strikeouts for Polytech.

Jalia Lawrence led numerous Mount hitters with a single, triple and an over the fence home run, driving in 5 runs to pace the Lady Knights to a 16-4 win over the Lady Tigers of AI DuPont. Kylee Balback was 5 for 5, Kristin Haroldsdottir was 4 for 5, Alyssa Scott and Kate Schultz were 2 for 2. A.I.'s Sydney Stevens was 2 for 3. Mount's Teagan Bradley gave up only 2 hits in four innings.

Softball DIAA 1st Round Playoffs


Madeline Beres went 2 for 3 with a home run, double and 3 RBI's for Caravel Academy as they defeated the Lady Bucs of Milford by an 11-1. Darby Brennan led Milford with two hits in two at bats.

Antonia Browning scattered 4 hits and struck out 7 to upset Sussex Tech 1-0 in the first round of the DIAA state tournament. Brooke Dooley was 2 for 3 and knocked in Ashley Steiner in the fourth inning. The Ravens threatened to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh when Kayla Booros singled and was sacrificed to second by Hannah Betts. Sierra Livingston singled to CF Taylor Gillis who threw Booros out at home to end the game.


DMA was led by Clare Henry going 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a homerun to pace the Lady Seahawks to a 4-1 win over the Lady Pandas of Padua Academy. Padua was led by Kathryn Twardowski with 2 hits in 3 at bats.


Autumn Gentry pitched 5 and 2/3 innings in relief to earn the win. Allowed 1 hit over that span striking out 4 to pace the Lady Jaguars of Appoquinimink to a 11-3 win over the Lady Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant. Gentry also helped lead the way at the plate for the Jaguars going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's and a solo home run. Madison Baurele also added 3 hits, while Tayler Vitola went 4 for 4 to help the cause. Appoquinimink belted 18 hits on the day along with Gentry, Baurele and Vitola they saw multi hit days from Andrea Johnson, Madeline Olivas, and Isabella Eleazar.

Brooke Glanden scored a run for Lake Forest during her solo home run in the 6th. Lexi Moore, Kaelyn Press, and Julia Thuer each scored for Smyrna. Madison Drummond drove in the first run for the Lady Eagles as they defeated the Lady Spartans of Lake Forest 3-1.

Kourtney McNatt scattered 7 hits over 5 and a third allowing 1 run to get the win for the Jaguars. Autumn Gentry came in relief in the 6th with the bases loaded. Gentry served up a 4-6-3 inning ending double play to perserve the Jaguar 4 run lead. APPO added 3 more runs in the bottom of the inning and went on to beat Delmar 8 to 2. Appoquinimink belted 13 hits on the day. Tayler Vitola led the way going 3 for 3 with a triple 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Mallory Weir and Brooke Miller both had 2 RBI's for the Jaguars. Madison Bauerle and Andrea Johnson had multi hit days for APPO. Tracy Pleasanton and Sydney Tyndall both had two hits for Delmar.

Kourtney McNatt went 6 plus innings allowing only 4 hits to earn the 6-5 win for Appoquinimink. Autumn Gentry got the last 3 outs to earn the save and perserve the win for the Jaguars. Gentry was also 2 for 2 at the plate with 2 RBI's. Maddie Olivas singled and had 2 RBI's. Tayler Vitola had 3 hits for APPO. Breanna Bryant and Natalie Paoli had 2 hits each for Caravel.


Jessica Anderson and Payton Dixon combined to throw a shutout. Kaelyn Press hit a solo home in the first inning, with Abigail Mace and Laiken Zay each addidng 3-RBI homeruns later in the game. Madison Drummond and Laiken Zay drove in the runs for the 5th inning. Zay, Julia Thuer, Mace, and Press each collected two hits to lead Lady Eagles.

Cierra Tweed, Brooke Dooley, and Taylor Gillis recorded hits for Charter.

For the first time since 1993 the Lady Eagles of Smyrna won the 2018 DIAA Girls Softball State title on the performance of Abby Mace with 2 home runs along with a double and 5 rbi's as they defeated the Lady Jaguars of Appoquinimink by a 16-7 score.
