Will be a good game. Parkside has 2 RB's Yarns and Mills that have d1 offers. still think Delmar has the edge. 35-21.

Went to the Parkside-NC game last week and both offenses were very blah. Neither QB could really throw. Parkside had a pick 6 and NC scored late to win. I do think the Henlopen conference is better than the Bayside conference but it’s definitely good competition. They should definitely do a series with them every year. Teams are close enough to where they can face each other. They’ve done in the past with Queen Anne-SC, Seaford-Cambridge, Woodbridge-Cambridge, Delmar-Washington, Indian River-Stephen Decatur, Cape-Cambridge, and I know Lake used to scrimmage North Caroline. Just seems like an easy decision especially with teams having trouble finding games. SC shouldn’t have to go back to back weeks across the bridge playing way lesser opponents. Delmar has 3 Bayside opponents this year with Parkside, Easton, and Queen Anne.

I was at the Parkside/WP scrimmage a few weeks back and Parkside's defense is LOADED! Offense was very blah. NC was at that scrimmage scouting them. Guess that 3hr drive paid off.

Delmar has had a difficult time scheduling Bayside teams with the exception of Washington. Former Laurel coach Glenn Phillips is on the Parkside staff and I believe he helped make this happen.

I’ve heard this is Parkside’s best team in years headlined by their running back duo. I don’t know much else about them except they will be pumped up and ready to go come 4 pm Saturday.

Not 100% on this but I believe this counts as a D1 game for Delmar.

TV coverage of the of Parkside/NC game said that Parkside’s D1 recruit back Yarns and their stud lineman #55 were injured. If they don’t play, the Cats might have a chance of getting win #2

Delmar lost 2 high end kids this year to transfer but refuses to use as an excuse. Should be a great game but the Cats come on top at the end
Delmar is a small town that prides themselves of their football history. The community will always be behind Delmar football. This is the culture of the program and community. Unfortunately when this does not occur at the more populated high schools in this state. A community will turn their back on a football program when they are not good. Lack of parental participation within the program (parents only show up for games or only talk to the coaches when their child doesn't have enough PT). Football programs will go only as far as the culture that immediately surrounds the students.

sucks that yarns is not playing, also hearing starting lineman is out also. still should be a good game.
