Because there's too ,any games tomorrow that could effect D2 pairings I'll refrain from them.

However, Division 1 seeding is finalized.........given Delcastle doesn't upset William Penn tomorrow.

So here you have it folks...2016 Division 1 Playoffs.

1. Middletown Cavaliers (10-0) - 64 pts = BYE
Will play Lowest remaining seed November 25th @ 7:30

2. Smyrna Eagles (10-0) - 61 pts = BYE
Will Play Highest remaining seed November 26th @ TBA

3. William Penn Colonials (9-1) - 58 pts vs. 6. Sussex Central Knights (7-3) - 48 pts
November 19th @ TBA

4. Salesianum Sals (7-3) - 49 pts vs. 5. Concord Raiders (7-3) - 49 pts.
November 18th @ 7:30 *Sallies holds Head to Head tiebreaker over Concord*

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN:
Appoquinimink Jaguars (6-4) - 47 pts
Cape Henlopen Vikings (7-3) - 46 pts

It's some good match ups. With Bam back I think Concord and Sallies is a toss up. ALSO, I wouldn't over look Central, they could very well upset William Penn if they played like they have since they played Smyrna.

I think that Mtown will play the winner in the semis with the lowest seed.
Smyrna will play the highest seed of the winners in the semis.

After the opening round, there are 2 Surviviors....the lowest seed plays at the highest seed (MDT)..and the second lowest plays at Smyrna.

If Central is # 6 seed....they would play at MDT if they beat Penn.....that would be interesting scenario.

I was hoping the Sals would play Sc. Sc always scrimmages them pre-season. Schedule a regular season game?, nah.

The Big S had a brief regular season series with Central back in the 1980's...maybe '84 and '85. Now that Dover and CR have temporarily (we hope) put a hold on their regular season games with the Sals I was hoping that maybe Central and the Cape would become regular season opponents for a while. I guess that is wishful thinking.

Bam went out in last nights game only played a q and a half

Damn- again, hate to see kids hurt, kid from Sals tried to return from injury and did not make it to the huddle, fell about 10 yards out onto the field.
....here is to hoping good health to all the teams as we begin the playoffs. And Thanks to all the other teams for another great season!

I did notice that RR. Bam wasn't gaining much ground when he was in there. Batch was running harder and gaining more yards when he was in the game.

It was good to see Sussex Tech step in. I hope the series continues...

An observation that I've made is that their best back was physically unable complete the biggest games of the year for his team. In the losses to Penn, Salesianum & now Middletown there were comments made that would lead folks to believe his team would have a chance to win any one of these games if he were at full strength. I understand the logic but in most, if not all of those games, he played the first half and was not effective which tells me the team can not compete at against the higher caliber squads.

Concord WAS competitive last night against Middletown and against WP without him!

Unfortunately, he turned his ankle in the Sallies game and sat the remainder of the game. I believe either HS or RR said the score was only 7-0 when he went out. He didn't play the Penn game at all. I believe it would have definitely been a different game if he had, especially at the goal line in the final seconds. I was at the Middletown vs. Concord game last night on the Concord side. I asked was he hurt and some of the players told me the coaches didn't want to run him too much coming back from injury and wanted him to be ready for the playoffs. Since they knew they were already in the playoffs, they wanted him to get a feel back for running the ball. I still find it impressive that he was able to rush for over 1000 yds and close to 20 TD's only playing in 7 full games on the regular season.

Its unfortunate not to have one of the best backs in the state in your big games, but injuries do happen and I fully agree Concord coaches do need to learn to still go out and create a plan and SYSTEM to win regardless.

I was at Concord/Sallies and the final score def didn't represent how close the game was for 3+ quarters. And not having Roberts for 3.5 quarters of the game hurt. You could see an improvement in the game planning for a game without him the next week when they had a very winnable game against WP and got good play out of their other RBs.

I've seen one other Sallies game this year and nothing about them really stood out as dominant, so that 4/5 matchup should be a good one, especially if Bam is back and plays the whole game. Sals have some big bodies though, as usual. A lot of the kids on both teams know each other, or at least probably communicate through social media, so I'm sure there will be no love lost.

Glad to hear Robert's Middletown playing time wasn't limited due to re-injury...though if I'm the Concord coaches I want to pull out that Middletown win and force the Sals to wake up early on Saturday morning. Heh.

Concord's plan has always been the same...line up, run some off tackle and some traps and just ground and pound until your RB breaks the big ones. And they've seemingly always had the talent at RB to play that style...Nickens/Jim Lewis, Napier/Carr, Morris, etc back during their championship runs, then recently guys like Alleyne and the Roberts bros. If the line executes their blocking schemes they have the talent to run it down people's throats. But the size of the people their line is blocking is definitely bigger now than it was when their lines were blocking for Napier or Lewis. Makes that gameplan of ground and pound a little harder to execute for sure. Seems like they threw the ball to Avery Roberts a few times out of the backfield against Sals and WP, might be a good idea to bring that out a little bit more.

The kid still can't cut ... jmho
I'm going to have to agree with Bucksnot on that. Bam still didn't look like the same player I am use to seeing. Watching the game last night, it looked like either his confidence wasn't up because of the injury or he is not fully healed up, because he stretched everything out too much on the outside runs. When Concord ran inside the tackles, he picked up 6-9 yds per carry.

Another big game and another poor showing by their best back. Was he hurt again or is it that he really isn't the caliber player that he has been made out to be.

From what I saw, he's still hurt. I only saw him with 7 carries. Regardless of his showing tonight kid still is list as a top 25 back in the country by people who's opinions matter and still picking up offers. Nothing is going to change that. Winning a state championship or being All-State doesn't get anyone that.

Takes heart to play when you can't. It's obvious people critique you off of your performance. Even more, offers matter and if he were my kid I wouldn't let him put himself in jeopardy of losing those. He's only a junior he could have just sat out. It took heart not to.

I don't know where he is a top 25 back in the country comes from.. he is not that ,, There are multiple backs running for 2000 + yards and 15+ tds in every state .. If its a tee short and short rivals thing than ok ,,but the stats dont back up the claim especially being from a small football state like DE.. There are at least ten RB's in FLA that run for 2000 plus a year alone

List on Rivals, 247 sports, and Scout. Rivals new rankings have him at #18 and 247 has him at #25. Leddie Brown is the only other Delaware 2018 player ranked nationally.

yes tee shirt and shorts nonsense no stats to back it up I get it its great to get that recognition.. but that athleticism has to translate to on the field production I am just saying there are 100's of back who have produced more vs better competition

The success rate of rivals. espn or 247 rated rated players is 50/50 yes they all show athletic ability but ony the real football players make it..

That's true!! Texas, Florida, and California are big time. But, camps like FBU invite are full contact camps where only the best of the best even get invited. Those guys have to do something there to get the respect of these analyst. Also they critique hours of film to come up with their rankings. I'm not arguing anything you are saying, just saying that people are saying the kids not that good because he played hurt and didn't perform well. He proved it last year and earlier this year before he was plagued with injuries. Hey, they happen.

True, but an offer is an offer and free college is free college. And yes, 50% of the players there are taking advantage of those opportunities.

That has nothing to do with the conversation..you can be an offered player and under perform . Being offered doesn't make you one of the best players in HS,, Offers are based on potential... Being the best player in HS is performing the best in HS.. which goes to my point Bam is not one of the best 25 backs in HS.. not even in the ball park He may be rated as a top 25 prospect but he is not anywhere near the top 25 in production

Ok....so top 25 with potential? Is his brother a top 6 LB in the country or a top 6 LB in the country with potential?

I love watching Will Knight play. I believe he even lead the nation with some of his stats last year. From what I have seen from message boards non of that has done anything to get him his just dues as far as rankings and major offers. I do believe that will pick up soon, but obviously production doesn't get you that prestige either.
