*UPDATED FOR CA VS CONCORD*

Buckle up folks...

1. DMA- 45 with win over Conrad
2. Friends- 4.1111 with win over Tower Hill and WB win. WB loss + win= 40 points. WB win+ loss to TH= 3.8888. WB loss+ loss to TH= 3.777.
3. AI- 41 points
This is where it gets complicated.
4-8. *Delmar- 38 points with win over WB. 35 with loss, Comes down to 3 way tie to win conference in this case to determine if DM gets in.
*Milford- 38 with win over Lake forest
*Woodbridge- 41 with win over Delmar. 38 with loss.
*Tower Hill- 38 with loss to friends. 42 with win over friends.

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN
Caravel- 37 with win over Concord. Need either Howard or Delmar to not get in.

There exists a chance two 3 loss teams can
get auto bids and knock 2 D2 2 loss teams out .. lol

Conrad and Archmere are those teams .. Its all Centrals fault lol

Archmere getting in over CA when CA totally dominated them is silly but hey its the system

Personally I think the possible 3 loss teams getting in are better than Archmere and Conrad so i hope it happens

HASENPHEFFER!!!!!

Milford 20 WB 6
DM 35 Milford 10

DM + 25 Milf - 11 WB - WB -14

DM cant lose by more than 36 to lose the conference

RR, wasn't Ikey actually (almost) right before? If Woodbridge wins by 20, then Delmar would only be +5 (+25-20), and Woodbridge would be +6 (-14+20)?

yeah I got confused this math is spinning my head lol

Milf was up 14 over WB
now DM is up 11 over Milf
WB is down 39

so yes DM needs to win or not lose by 11 plus sort of

Ikey was right..

Aaack - now I'm confused for a whole new reason with that explanation! Can't Delmar lose by as many as 19 and still win the tie breaker? Not picking on anybody, just trying to understand this mess.

In point differential in games played between the 3 teams, Milford is -11 (+14W-25D) and out of the running. If Woodbridge beats Delmar by 19, then WB ends up at +5 (-14 vs M, +19 vs D) and D ends up at +6 and takes it (+25 vs M, -19 W). With a 20 point victory, WB would be +6 win the tie breaker, Delmar would be +5. Right, or no? If they had used these scenarios in high school Algebra I would have paid more attention....

IKEY if I were you I would bask in the glory you actually outsmarted me.. Its a rare occurrence.. have one one me.. lol
The only glory I choose to bask in is fairly simple. My total stands at 67.40 for the entire horse racing season.

The magic number for Delmar is 14 (can lose by) and for Woodbridge it is 15 (must win by). Right now Milford is at -11 and that number doesn't change. Delmar is at +15, Woodbridge is at -14.
Since they are playing each other think of it as a number line. In a Woodbridge win scenario for every positive point Woodbridge scores you subtract that same number from Delmar.
So if Woodbridge were to win 14-0 Woodbridge goes from -14 to 0. Delmar would go from +15 to +1.
So if Woodbridge wins by 15 or more they get the automatic berth. If Delmar loses by 14 or less then they get it.
If Delmar wins they are the Henlopen South champion out right.
I believe if Woodbridge wins no matter what the score the conference will recognize a 3 way tie for the South title. The point differential only determines the automatic berth to the state tournament.

Hammers - completely agree with your logic, except for why you have Delmar currently at +15 when they beat Milford by 25?

@ikey ...ILC , now that was some funny shit back in the day
You know, that show reached across cultural boundaries, this country could use some of that. If we can all learn to laugh at RR a bit more, this country would be better off.

ok so its

DM 35- 10 +25
WB 6-20 -14
MF 20-6 + 14 and 10-35 -11

Delmar cant lose by more than 36 or they win the conference

No, Delmar can't lose by more than 19.

How do you figure?

Its point spread between the three teams

Miflord 30-41 -11
DM 35- 10 +25
WB 6-20 -14

So if WB wins 19-0 then WB would be 25 - 20 + 5 DM would be 35-29 + 6

DOH ok I am the dumbass I forgot to subtract point spread from DM by losing. SO the magic number for milf is not losing by 20

Now that we can all agree on that, let's move on to bringing peace in the Middle East as it may be less confusing (or at least requires less math).... Just hoping for a competitive, entertaining game now.

How much freaking time do you think I have? There are horses that I have not seen run yet.

Math at one point in my life was everything well mainly statistics.. In 1979 ish I was an avid baseball and football card collector,, I knew the batting average and yards per carry of every MLB and NFL player... that was well before I fried the hell out of my brain cells.. just saying of course.. Now with lilrooster math was never his best subject.History,Social Studies he was top notch Math not so much . So I am digging his new found affinity in this area.. proud pappa lol
