DII
1. St. Georges 4-1
2. DMA 5-0
3. Lake Forest 3-2
4. Friends 5-0

Woodbridge 41 Seaford 6……Woodbridge ends their season with 5 straight Henlopen South match-ups starting with win less Seaford. Seaford has been outscored 244-8 this season and hasn’t won a conference game since 2012. Woodbridge won 47-6 last season.
Middletown 30 A.I. DuPont 14……Middletown needs to get their offense going and limit their mistakes. 5 turnovers killed the Cavaliers against Sallies last Friday night in a 20-6 loss. Middletown wasted a good defensive effort against sallies. AI comes in off back to back wins over Charter and Delcastle. For the Tigers to have a chance Andrew Gaymon will have to have a big game. He has scored 6 TD this season.
Appo 24 Charter 14……..Charter miscues cost them a chance at an upset last weekend against Mount Pleasant. Mount returned a fumble and an interception for a TD in a 29-12 win. Appo is coming off back to back losses to Concord and William Penn but has owned Charter all time going 4-0 against the Force. Appo won 27-6 last season.
Caravel 28 St. Mark’s 23…….This game looked like a huge match-up before the season started but now both teams stand at 2-3 and will have to finish real strong to even have a chance at the playoffs. Last meeting was in 2010 with the Spartans winning 30-7. That was a much different St. Mark’s team.
DMA 40 Polytech 7…….DMA is coming off what is possibly their biggest win in school history whipping St. Mark’s 49-21 and should win easily this week.
St. Elizabeth 27 Dickinson 6……..Dickinson scored last week against Hodgson which is a good sign. St. Elizabeth has lost 4 straight including 35-0 last week to Friends.
Glasgow 35 Christiana 8……..Glasgow has Lake Forest and Howard up next and should handle old Flight A rival Christiana this week.
Conrad 21 McKean 18……..Conrad will be tested against the Highlanders.
William Penn 42 Newark 7……..William Penn faces Newark, Concord and Salesianum the next 3 weeks. The Colonials have won 3 straight against Newark and most likely will make it 4 this weekend.
Tatnall 35 Red Lion 6……….Tatnall wins and improves to 4-2 with a big game against Friends next week.
Sussex Central 31 Caesar Rodney 14…… Sussex Central broke a 3 game losing streak by routing Cape Henlopen 34-7 last week. Sussex Central RB Ki Ante Sturgis had 248 yards and 3 TD on just 7 carries against Cape. The Sussex Central run game and a good defense should be enough to handle the Riders. The Knights will be looking to defeat CR for the 1st time since 2011. CR won last season 26-15.
Dover 31 Cape Henlopen 30…….Cape didn’t do much right last week against Sussex Central and when Dover gets its offense going they can be tough to handle averaging just over 30 pts. per game.
Delmar 27 Archmere 22……..Delmar has to win one of these weeks. Delmar has 3 losses by less than 10 points. This game should be another close one that could go either way.
Indian River 26 Milford 24……Going with the upset in this one. Milford is 4-1 but their wins have come against teams with a combined 5-14 record. Indian River is coming off a win over Laurel and has played a much tougher schedule. IR at home gets it done.
Lake Forest 21 Laurel 14………...The Lake defense and some luck has allowed Lake to escape with back to back victories over Henlopen South rivals Woodbridge and Delmar. That continues again this week against Laurel.
Smyrna 41 Sussex Tech 16……..The Smyrna offense seems to be unstoppable at this point averaging 54 points per game. Besides the Salesianum game the Smyrna defense has been very good only allowing 20 total points in those 4 other games and posting shutouts against Appo and Delcastle. This will be the biggest test for Smyrna since playing Sallies and it will be interesting to see how the Smyrna defense holds up against a very good running team in Sussex Tech. Sussex Tech has almost quietly started the season 5-0 behind a very good running game and solid defense. The Sussex Tech offense averages 30 pts per game but has only scored 17 and 19 the last 2 weeks. The Ravens are led by standout RB Patrick Griffin who has 856 yards rushing and 9 TD this season. The Ravens offense averages 365 yards rushing per game while limiting their opponents offense to 10 pts per game. This could possibly be the biggest football game in the history of Smyrna football and until somebody stops their offense I can’t pick against them. The Eagles will outscore Sussex Tech in this one.
Due to an ejection in last weeks game it looks as if Sussex Tech will be without star RB Patrick Griffin. Tech will struggle to keep up with Smyrna without him.
Salesianum 28 Concord 14………..Sallies benefited from 5 Middletown turnovers last week in a 20-6 victory over the Cavs. Salesianum struggled on offense last week against Middletown but should find some more room against Concord. The hopes of Concord ride on the health of RB/LB Avery Roberts and the play of RB Grahm Roberts. Grahm Roberts scored 3 TD last week in a Concord route over Newark (47-8). The previous week G. Roberts rushed for 317 yards and 4 TD vs. Appo. On the season Grahm has 830 rushing yards and 11 total TD. The Salesianum defense held Middletown to 173 yards last week and should get enough stops against a mostly one dimensional Concord offense.
St. Georges 30 Hodgson 20………..St. Georges has been riding high since losing to William Penn in week 1. Since week 1 the Hawks have won 4 straight and outscored their opponents 151-28 in that stretch. The Hawks are led by standout RB Gary Brightwell and his 9 TD this season. Hodgson is always dangerous and in need of a signature win. The teams split their 2 matchups last season. St. Georges won the regular season game 50-30 but lost in the state semifinals 32-7. Hodgson is 5-3 all-time against St. Georges.
Howard 44 Brandywine 6……Howard might not be in a great mood after getting crushed by Smyrna 56-6 last week. The struggles continue for Brandywine. The Bulldogs have been outscored 176-12 this season.
Mount Pleasant 38 Delcastle 12……..Mount Pleasant used 2 defensive scores to defeat Charter 29-12 last week. Mounts offense should get back on track against a Delcastle defense allowing 32 points per game.
Friends 28 Sidwell Friends 18……..Would much rather see Friends (DE) play an upper tier in-state DII team rather than travel to Washington DC. Sidwell Friends is 3-2 on the season. Wilmington Friends is coming off an impressive 35-0 win over St. Elizabeth and faces rival Tatnall next week.
Tower Hill 24 George School (PA) 23………Tower Hill won last year 49-35 and might have a much tougher time this year against a 5-1 George School squad.
Last week 19-2
Season 72-27
