Smyrna (0-0) at Arundel (1-0)

Arundel QB Gavin Kamachi passed for 269 yards and 2 TDS vs Dover last week but Smyrna is better than Dover. Maybe a good game for a half but Smyrna should pull away in 2nd half.

Smyrna 46 Arundel 20

Red Lion (0-0) at St. Mark's (1-0)

St. Mark's struggled on offense last week but an Interception for a TD in the 1st half and a late score helped them knock off Appo 20-16. It was a good opening test for the Spartans before taking on Red Lion. Last year St. Mark's defeated Red Lion 21-20 so expect another tight game this year. Red Lion has a tough opening schedule facing Delmar, Caravel and Milford in the coming weeks.

Dover (0-1) at Hodgson (1-0)

Dover at times last week looked impressive vs. Arundel and Hodgson easily beat a struggling CR team. This could be the most evenly matched game of the week. Dover can't afford to drop to 0-2.

Dover 26 Hodgson 20

Salesianum (1-0) at Sussex Central (1-0)

Timely defense and special teams helped the Sals avoid disaster vs Cape Henlopen last week. SC rolled over William Penn with Senior QB TJ Morris passing for 137 yards and 2 TDS. SC gained 339 yards vs. Penn while holding the Colonials to 6 first downs the entire game. The most impressive thing about the Golden Knights win last week (other than the defense) was the success that they had passing the football. I'm giving the edge to the more experienced and balanced team in this one. SC gets a little revenge for 2 losses to Salesianum last season.

Sussex Central 21 Salesianum 14

Last weeks record 5-0
Best pick: St. Mark 21 Appo 13 (St. Mark's won 20-16)
Worst pick: DMA 31 Howard 21 (Howard is winning 8-0)
