Friday Night Lights

Some of the schools have been renting temp lights and playing one FNL game at home the last few years

I do recall Penn renting temp lights and those were their biggest crowds of the season. I thought Brandywine was supposed to have permanent lights installed this summer, anyone know what happened with that?

I heard the same thing -some kind of permitting issue but they should be good to go in October.

I remember WP doing some night games with temporary lights. I went to one of them and was not impressed with the lighting. I think Tatnall also did it once with temp lights.

Not being critical of Christiana but will they sell enough tickets to cover the cost of the lights. Hopefully it works out for them!

Does anyone know what's going on in Newark? There are still no lights at their stadium as of yesterday, but all the home games are scheduled for Friday nights at 7pm. This includes a week 2 game against Concord, which was scheduled for Saturday at 10:30 am earlier in the summer.

Dipsh*ts didn't the permits or have public meetings... It still need to clear community input too.

The permits is weird because they did get permits for the scoreboard. Remember..the school folks aren't new construction specialists they rely on their contractors. The public meeting should be a pretty easy as BHS officials met with the appropriate civic leaders.

Soccer, I could write a book on these kind of faux pas......
