It seems once again two of Delaares smallest district's will battle Saturday at UD. Woodbridge and Friends have played each other in the regular season for a couple of years. Each team has one on the other opponents field. The rivalry will continue next year.

What has happened to Concord ? They used to be at least somewhat competitive in Flight A .
They might make a comeback .

true you never know with Flight A teams not named Middletown.. Its about who they can get academically eligible and on the field each year mostly
They have no choice. They are currently the upper of D2 which means scheduling purgatory. Hardly anyD1 teams with a borderline chance at playoffs will want to play them until they are below 500 a couple of years. They will be stuck playing independents, OOS opponents and last minute schedule fillers for a while.
Question is will that be sooner than later give the amount of talent they are losing after this year.
Academics is a part but not that big. Concord and the School district as a whole has been hurting. Concord has been on decline since the year before Avery Roberts. Penn will be Penn coaching determines their success. Appo will be Mtown step sister. Delcastle is the vo Tech Wilmington Charter. Football kids are flocking to St. George’s and Hodgson they are getting Penns, Concords and many other northern schools football players.
