#7 Archmere (8-1) @ #11 CR (7-3) 1pm. Archmere has won 4 straight games. Deely pitched yesterday. CR won a close one yesterday over Concord in which Dill pitched. It looks like both teams will be without their ace today. CR has beaten Archmere the last two years including 18-6 win last year.
#1 St Marks (9-0) @ #2 Dover (8-1) 4:15. Dover is coming off a big upset loss to Appo 2-1 on Wednesday, its first loss of the season. Prior to that Dover had been averaging nearly 10 runs per game. Dover's pitching is allowing just over 1 run per game. Dover had 3-1 Cullen pitch on Wed, so it should be 3-0 Spadafino on the mound today??. At the plate, Spadafino, Jenkins, Hutchins & Stone have all hit the long ball. St Marks is 9-0. Six of their 9 wins are against top 20 teams. St Marks is averaging over 8 runs game. The team is second in homers with Disabatino (3), Perry (2) & Holdren (1) and get lots of offensive production from Freeland & Scott. On the mound for St Marks is 4-0 Spagnolo who pitched on tuesday and 4-0 Billy Phillips. It seems its Phillips turn. This is a monster game, hopefully it lives up to its billing.
#4 Hodgson (7-3) @ #3 Caravel (6-2) 7pm. Hodgson is coming off an upset loss to Concord 8-4. Maybe they got caught looking ahead to this game at Caravel. Who knows. But now its here. Their ace Walter is due in the rotation to pitch. At 4-1, he has some high strikeout games. At the plate Hodgson is led by Meddings, Bell and Pacana. They average over 7 runs per game. Caravel after losing 2 straight tough games, got back on the winning track with a big win over Delbarton NJ. Caravel is led on the mound by Hart and Bilous. At the plate they get production from Corbitt, Bilous & Zweir. Their only common opponent has been St Marks where they both lost by 3 runs. Caravel beat Hodgson last 4-3 by scoring a run in the 7th to win it. Hodgson won a close one in 2012. Hope this game will be as good as the previous two years.
