#3 Caravel (5-1) @ #1 St Marks (7-0). This is a repeat of last year's championship game where St Mark's won 3-1. Could it be a preview of the another state championship game in 2014??? Caravel beat St Marks last year during the season 4-3. St Marks won during the regular season in 2012. Caravel won both games in 2011. St Marks won back in 2010. and so on and so on, it goes back and forth. We all know that St Marks has won 8 of the last 11 state championships and looking for their 3rd st. So this year is no different, both teams are one of the tops in the state. St Marks is perfect thus far at 7-0 with wins over 4 top 20 teams. St Marks is averaging almost 10 runs per game and giving up 3. Phillips and Spagnolo are both 3-0 on the mound. At the plate, Disabatino has 3 HR's on the season, Perry has 2 and Holdren has 1. Also the hits have been coming in from Freeland, Brancato and Scott. Caravel is 5-1 and little harder to figure since half their opponents were from out of state. Caravel is averaging around 6 runs per game, with hits coming from Corbitt, Bilous, Zweir and Adams. They have no homeruns. Caravel's strenth though comes from its pitching, led by Hart & Bilous. Caravel has kept its opponents at 2 runs or under in 4 of their 6 games. It will be a chilly game, but it should be worth it.

AI Dupont 6-1 @ Mt Pleasant 6-0. Mt Pleasant got a nice comeback win over St Georges last night to remain undefeated. A.I has won 6 straight after a 4-2 loss to Middletown to start the season. Mt Pleasant is averaging over 10 runs per game, but that mostly against some very weak competition. Hillsgrove and Meekins seem to lead with the bats. Bacher their ace has started 4 of the 6 games, but just pitched last night. A i is led on the mound by PiJuan & Kasey. They have kept teams from scoring more than 2 runs in 6 straight games. At the plate Hidalgo has 2 HR's and leads the hitting.
