Games today

Dover leads after 19-10 after 1 quarter. Davis has Dover’s first 17 pts & Clark had CR’s first 7.

66-61 final, caravel turned ball over way too much in 4th Glasgow with a great comeback

Glasgow waited until the 4th to go to full court pressure. Caravel struggled with the press and stopped looking to score. Glasgow 32-12 in 4th quarter.

Great matchup. Both teams should get to quarters or better.

I'm the first to call it; Dover will not win a state championship with their coach. He wins on talent alone, the first team they face with equal talent with a decent coach they will get knocked off, sad but true.

Davis was on fire in the first quarter then he pulls him out and then early in the 4th qtr he picks up his 4th and 5th fouls back to back and fouls out the game. Lucky CR couldn't take advantage.

I was impressed with Spencer, plays big and tons of hustle. Dover has a nice core group. CR imo is still finding their stride. Dover swept the series which is tough to do against a descent rival. Congrats

He was pulled pulled because he had 3 fouls

Davis did not pick up his 3rd foul in the first half, he picked up his 3rd foul in the 3rd quarter. He then picked up his 4th & 5th within 2 minutes of each other at the beginning of the 4th quarter w/ over 6:00 minutes left in the game (I wondered why he was still in the game myself), CR fans cheered louder than they did all night when he headed to the bench w/ Dover up 8. I thought right then that CR had a shot but Dover showed some poise & held on. Dover missed their other guard Lassiter last night too who would have been a big help.

Dover has played CR twice & both times used one of their smaller guards to guard Clark & be physical w/ him. He started out on the wing a lot but got some easy buckets down low as the game went on...I would like to see him take advantage of the smaller defenders more often especially when you have a kid an entire foot shorter than you guarding you.

Spencer is key for Dover...he allows the guards to play more aggressive out top because he defends the rim if anyone does get by them, he rebounds well & doesn't complain about shot attempts. CR played a lot better last night & will still be a tough out for anybody.

@SenatorPride, well even if this is true there is only one team in Delaware w/ equal or more talent.

Yes, it all comes down to seeding, for example: Sussex Tech only lost to two teams last year...Smyrna (2 times) & Cape (2 times) beat everyone else...went 16-4, got a first round bye beat a tough Mount team in the 2nd round and had to play Smyrna a 3rd time in the quarterfinals. Seedings will be interesting this year. Could see two Final worthy teams matched up in the 2nd round or Quarterfinals...
