What is up with Sussex Tech? I thought they would be much better with the additions of Skylar Johnson (Cape), Curtis (IR) and J. Johnson. Losing to Smyrna was a shocker. I know Ayers is fired up. Guess it takes awhile to gel when your stealing players lol (guess you can tell I don’t like the idea of sophomores being allowed to transfer to a “lottery” school).

I have to give Smyrna credit. They lost 95% of their offense to graduation or “other” and they hung with a tough Dover squad (Could they run the table in the North), were beating Cape by double digits and beat a good Tech team. Sylvester is off to a great start. Anyone know what happened to the Hampton kid? Haven’t seen his name in the box score.

Was up with “The Castle”? Had Delcastle in my top 5. All that size and athleticism they had last year and they can’t score 50 points. Guard play needs to improve quickly.

Sussex Tech has definitely got off to a surprisingly slow start getting blew out by Dover & Smyrna (without Hampton). Anybody know when Kane will be back?...he will help Sussex Tech out a lot as it seems like Reynolds is their only scoring option right now. Those 2 Cape/Tech games should be interesting. Right now it seems like Dover then the pack in the Henlopen North.

Smyrna has surprised me though playing so well without Bloodsworth, Matthews & Garnett. They play really hard on both ends. Hampton injured what looked like his knee w/ under a minute left against Dover, was down for a while & had to be helped off the court. Smyrna was actually up 1 & had the ball when he went down in that game vs Dover. Sylvester has a crazy motor on him & plays bigger than what he is.

Saw them last night versus Newark. Wasn't impressed with either teams. Newark was pretty tough on D and all shots by Delcastle were contested.
