I’ve had a chance to see all of the top 10-12 teams in the state and many of them I’ve see two or three times. Sanford, Conrad, & Caravel are the top three teams in the state in no particular order. I need to see Caravel a few more times. St. E’s & Ursuline would be the 4th & 5th best teams followed then by Howard, Hodgson, CR, and St. Thomas, in no particular order either. Then teams like Sussex Central, Tatnall, Archmere, Newark Charter, and Sussex Tech. St. E’s hasn’t played anyone other than CR and almost gave that game away. St. E’s plays a very weak schedule other than 4-5 games. Can’t believe they were in the bottom bracket at the DSC. Certainly not going to help them come tournament time. Don’t be fooled by the number of points St. E’s is scoring either, they are leaving 4 or 5 starters in til very late in each game vs the bad opponents. Just tonight they had 4 starters in until the 2-3 minute mark of the 4th quarter up by 35-40. You want to talk WEAK! Look at Hodgson & St. Thomas they both play two of the weakest schedules I’ve seen in sometime. Every school in Delaware can choose to play a better schedule other than there conference teams. Choose more wisely and challenge your team!!! Ursuline really needs there post players back if they have any shot. Don't be surprised if St. E’s beats Ursuline next week. I’m expecting a real battle as St.E’s is looking for there first win vs Ursuline since 2014 semifinals. Sanford and Conrad are legit contenders and each has 4-5 players that can step up on any given night. No one player needing to carry the load like a handful of other teams. And I won’t be surprised if it’s these two teams that are meeting in the finals come March. Caravel by far has the toughest schedule of anyone and will serve them well come tournament time and are a contender for the finals.
