Sneakers..lol.. Garnett wants to fight Sanford and their fans at Slam Dunk to Beach and only gets half quarter..smh.. Great move by St. Georges coach.. Stop the problem from the start no matter who it is... Smryna coach rather want wins instead of showing Garnett this is not acceptable...
Great move by Cape allowing Rickards back as well huh??? Good luck to Cape vs Smyrna tonight...I'm sure you were hoping Smyrna would be without Garnett. I'm assuming Rickards will be back in uniform for you guys tonight though which you probably don't have a problem w/?
FYI...I am all for a coach making a statement & benching kids who don't abide by the rules no matter what their impact on the game will be so kudos to St. George's Coach Rod Griffin.
This is the same coach who had a kid smoking weed non-stop and cutting classes everyday last year before failing off?? Guess those rules don't matter but a shoe does? hmmm
I'm guessing when that player decided "hey I'm going to smoke weed tonight" it is Coach Griffin's fault because he should of been right there to stop him? A coach can not control what a kid does on his own time. The shoes happened is his presence so he put a stop to it. Eventually that kid did enough where he was no longer a part of that team/school. Things happen for a reason.
Agreed. However a coach should know if a kids going to class, completing work and not having to have a players grade changed to make him eligible. just sayin...

Heard the young man is doing well. Getting to a place where integrity matters has proved well for him. The comment wasn't about him, it was about the coach who lures a kid in and abandoned him. And anyone who knows, knows what was going on there and what still does. As for the "hearsay", I go back to the previous sentence, everyone who knows knows. Those who don't actually commit "double hearsay", when challenging it. Finally, failing off a high school sports team is far from the ultimate sacrifice.
Where is he playing this year? Kid had a lot of talent when I got to see him play.
I agree the comment was suppose to be about the Coach and a decision he made. But you injected something else read ur comment. I know the issues well and you don't put it on here and it is what it has been hear say.MY comment was young man paid the ultimate PRICE meaning not focusing on his grades cost him and his teamates a better chance of winning. Sometimes silence is golden if u think u know something but not 100%.Be mindful of what u talked about double hear say. So tell the good u heard if your so quick to tell.
100% sure. Its great he learned a huge life lesson and moved on from St. Georges.
