Hearn ties wins record for Henlopen

Coach Hearn is always a class act, and you know his program is never down for long. Amazing what he's been able to accomplish at Delmar. Like the other coaches mentioned above, it's a special thing when a coach and community commit to one another for the long haul.

Coach Hearn had some very kind words for my Son after a play-off game down there a few years back.. For that he is good man in my book.. His teams always seem well coached

team mates with the great Darnell Savage i presume
YEP.. but I wasn't trying to make this about my Son.. just pointing the kind of guy Hearn is.. Not to many coaches after blowing a 13 pt halftime lead at home in a playoff game would take the time to pull a kid aside after the game to tell them they appreciate the way you play the game.. I thought that was cool

I'm willing to bet that Hearn had no clue about this record until he read the article. It's remarkable what Hearn has done at Delmar, one of the smallest schools in the state. Not only is he a great coach but he has an amazing group of assistant coaches especially - Ed Vickers, Bobby Ellis and Mike Dorsey - who have been with Hearn from the start.
